Silver, Paradox and the twins were sitting at the restaurant waiting. They smiled when Fluttershy walked in with Rainbow Dash.

“Oh my goodness.” Fluttershy gasped when she saw the girls in their dresses.

“Kind of girly aren’t they?” Rainbow Dash asked with an adoring smile in her face. “Who am I kidding? They look so adorable.”

Both grandmothers fawned over the twins. Paradox and Silver smiled at one another. “So, how’s everything going?” Paradox asked.

Fluttershy looked up. “Everything is fine.” She had Solana in her arms as she flew over and sat down next to him.

“Yeah. We fought off a monster the other day.” Rainbow Dash replied as she carried Selene over.

“You did mostly.” Fluttershy whispered. “Maybe we shouldn’t talk about violence around the girls?” Solana was snuggling up against Fluttershy’s chest.

“Fluttershy, you worry too much. These girls will get to experience a lot. Look they even have claws to protect themselves.” Rainbow said as Selene pet her grandmother’s rainbow colored mane with her paw.

Silver looked around. “Where’s Snafu?”

“Discord has him today.” Fluttershy answered. “He thinks Doxy is still mad at him.”

Paradox frowned and looked away. “Yeah… I am, and I think I know why, but I also don’t know.”

Silver bit her bottom lip and let out a sigh. “I thought I knew but it fled from my memory.”

“Whatever it is, can’t be that important.” Rainbow Dash smiled as she gave Selene a kiss. “Isn’t that right? Oh no! I’m gonna kiss your nose.”

Selene squealed and giggled as Rainbow Dash kissed her nose she looked over at Silver. “Mama. Mama!”

“Selene it’s alright let your grandmother hold you.” Silver smiled.

“Can you really trust dad with Snafu? He’s a little immature and Snafu is so young too.” Paradox muttered.

Silver snickered. “Doxy…”

Fluttershy looked at her son in shock. “Dox, your father took you out all the time. Why are you acting like this?”

Paradox frowned. “Okay mom, I’m going to ask you something…”

Fluttershy nodded as she sighed. “Alright, ask.”

“Who is Rune Eclipse?”

Fluttershy smiled. “My granddaughter.”

Paradox nodded. “Who is her father?”

“That is easy. It’s Zero. My son in law.”

He nodded at his mother. “Who is Rune’s mother?”

Fluttershy blinked several times. “I… um I know this. It’s right on the tip of my tongue.” She flapped her wings in frustration. She looked over at Rainbow Dash she just shrugged.

Paradox growled and put his arms up. “That is the reason why I’m mad at dad. He altered our memories. Only Zero knows that his wife is missing. Mom doesn’t even believe she’s real.”

Fluttershy squeaked. “Rune is my foal?” She then shook her head. “No… She’s Scarlet Grace’s.”

“No mom. Remember I’m a twin.”

Fluttershy’s eyes filled up suddenly with tears. “Doxy. You know your twin is dead. Why do you keep insisting she’s alive?”

Paradox blinked and placed his paw on his chest. “I feel it in here. Mom now that we are talking about it. I am remembering a little. She was pushed into something. What was her name mom? What was it? I know it. I need to know if you remember it too.”

“Dox, please. I’m not really in the mood to play these games. I want to spend time with these little jewels.” She whispered as she nuzzled Solana.

Solana gently placed her paws on Fluttershy’s cheeks and looked at the tears that were falling from her grandmother’s eyes. “Grrma. No…” She purred out softly. She looked over at her father. “Daa. No…”

Paradox sighed. “Fine.” He put his paw up to his face and walked away from them for a moment.

Silver felt a bit out of place suddenly as she sat next to her mom. “Hey mom, do you remember?”

Rainbow Dash nodded. “Of course. Paradox’s sister was named LillyRose. You and her were friends long before you and Paradox got along. I vaguely remember a fight where I believe that LillyRose got killed or something and Discord erased Fluttershy’s memory to keep her from becoming an emotional wreck.” She then blinked. “I can hardly remember that fight though. I know that Dox had been angry with his father ever since.”

Silver blinked. “I think someone else erased all of our memories. I can hardly remember it myself.”

“Doxy come back and relax.” Fluttershy called her son back. “Please?”

Paradox walked back, his eyes were red with tears. “She’s still alive mom. I know it… I do.”

Silver smiled. “We’ll figure it out later. Let’s eat and talk about something different.” She started to set up the high chairs. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash placed the foals in the chairs.

Paradox sat down and crossed his arms as he looked away from his mom. “Yeah, we’ll talk about something else.” A tear ran down his cheek as he let in a deep breath.

‘Silver is so beautiful why would she even want me? Oh she’s right next to me looking at me, oh I’m so scared, and I’m going to start freaking out. I’m going to…’ the thoughts ran through Paradox’s mind quickly.

Luna spread out her wings and smiled. “We are gathered here to unite two souls. Who is giving this lovely bride away?”

“I am.” Big Mac answered. He looked at Paradox. “Ya take care of her.” Paradox nodded.

There was a loud bawling from the front row of the seating. Every pony looked and saw Rainbow Dash bawling while Rarity pat her on the back. “Darling you’re making a scene.”

“My little girl!” Rainbow Dash cried. “She is so beautiful! Waaah!”

Silver grinned then whispered. “Mom… geez.”

“Okay, I’m okay.” Rainbow Dash muttered as she sniffled and Big Mac went to sit down next to her. She leaned on him and started to sniffle again. “Mac! Our daughter’s getting married!” She started crying again as she hugged him.

He patted Rainbow Dash. “Eeyup. Calm down Dash.”

Apple Jack leaned forward because she was sitting behind them. “How come ya’ll kept this a secret from me?” She whispered.

“You never asked.” Rainbow Dash whispered in between sobs.

“Ahem.” Luna continued. “These two lovely young souls are committed to be wed this lovely evening, Young Lord Paradox and Young Lieutenant Silver Dash.” She smiled at both of them. “If there is a pony who thinks these two should not be wed thou shall speak now, or be forever silent.”

Discord sat up and looked at the audience menacingly. No pony said anything.

Silver was looking at Paradox and he was looking at her. She saw him shaking slightly but he stared at her intently with his deep azure eyes. She was marrying him, she’ll wake up next to him, hug him and kiss him daily. She loved him so much.

Paradox was shaking so much. He shook his paws a bit because he felt sweaty in between his pads. He looked at her as she stood there and saw her eyes, she was looking into his. Her eyes beautiful pools of silver and magenta. He wanted to kiss her, he needed to kiss her.

Luna smiled and looked at Paradox. “Do thou Paradox take Silver to be your wife?”

Paradox blinked when he realized that Luna was talking to him. “Huh?”

Luna tried not to giggle. “Do thou take Silver to be your wife?”

“Oh! Gods yes! How can I not? She’s smoking hot!” He said.

Luna’s eyes widened. “Hmm, well then ye said yes.” She looked at Silver Dash. “Do thou take Paradox to be your husband?”

Silver blushed as she nodded. “Yes. I do.”

“The rings?” Luna said.

Crispin handed Paradox the ring, and Sprinkle Icing gave Silver a ring.

“The exchanging of rings to bind the souls together, to symbolize their bond. The circle is to represent the eternal love they have for one another. These two souls have consented to the arrangements of the ceremony we give all in attendance; Mr. and Mrs. Paradox. Mare and Draconequus. Ye can kiss thou’s wife.” Luna stepped back.

Paradox pulled Silver to him and kissed her deeply.weddingkissSilver melted into his kiss as he pulled her close to him. It was as if they were the only two in the room. She didn’t hear the noise of ponies cheering all she cared about was he was now her husband. When they stopped kissing he just looked into her eyes and smiled. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” She whispered back as she blushed. “My Doxy.”

He leaned up to her ear. “I cannot begin to tell you how pent up I am. Gods…”

She blushed. “Oh my goodness Doxy. We still have to go to the ballroom for the reception.”

He grinned at her. “Hmm, I know.”

The wedding procession started to file out of the throne room and Paradox was becoming anxious. He glanced at his father.

Discord smiled at his son. He made a motion with his paw and claw as if he was lifting something and he jogged in place. Paradox blinked. Discord sighed; he disappeared and then reappeared on Paradox’s shoulder dressed as an angel and in a miniature size. “Pick up your wife and run for it.” He said.

“What? Why?” Paradox asked.

“Dox, do I need to draw you a picture?” He asked as he pointed at Silver Dash. “Pick up your wife and disappear then show up in the ballroom later.”

“Oh… OH!” He grinned as he picked Silver up. Discord disappeared from his shoulder.

“Doxy! What’re you doing?” Silver giggled.

“I’m taking you.” He said as they disappeared and then reappeared at his old bedroom. His bed was made as he walked her over to it and set her down on it.

“Taking me?” She asked him.

“Oh yes. You’re my wife.” He whispered to her. “I just want to… start the honeymoon early.”

She smiled at him. “Doxy, I’m in my wedding dress, I don’t want to ruin it.”

“I’ll be careful. I…” He looked at the dress and tilted his head. “How do I get it off of you?”

She started to giggle. “After we go to the reception I’ll take it off for you.”

“Aww, Silver, you’re teasing me.” He muttered. “I want you bad.”

“Believe me Doxy, I want you too, but it’s not good to avoid your own party. I’ll make it up to you.” She motioned him over to her.

He got closer to her. “Yes?”

She took her hoof and pulled his tuxedo pants down to reveal his arousal. “Oh, is that for me?” She asked.

Paradox nodded as he looked down at her. “Yes. Silver, I ache just to be in you. Oh gods…” He moaned out when she rubbed her hot tongue on his tip.

Paradox stood and switched from one hoof to the other. He leaned on the cane his father gave him as he watched his friend Crispin walk down the aisle with Sprinkle Icing then took the spot next to Paradox.

“She looks beautiful.” Crispin whispered to Paradox.

“Hrrgah.” Was all Paradox could say as he swallowed hard.

The other two joined them up on the dais. Paradox was starting to shake like a leaf.

“It’ll be alright.” Zero whispered to him. “Breathe.”

The music changed and Paradox stood up straight. Every pony stood up and turned to look at the doors.

“Omygosh! Omygosh! Omygosh!” Silver started to say in quick succession. “I’m freaking out.”

“Calm down.” Mac said. “Remember yer not alone.”

She took in a deep breath. “Okay, I can do this.”

Mac opened the doors and they both started down the aisle.

“Gorgeous…” Paradox sighed as he stared at her. His legs felt weak and he swore his heart just skipped several beats.

In the front row a pony had started to sob and cry.

Silver heard ponies gasp at her beauty, some were mumbling about Big Mac and she smiled. Her dad was always popular with the mares but they never knew why he stayed a bachelor. Silver now knew why and she was okay with it. She looked up at the dais and saw Luna standing and waiting. She glanced at her friends Lilly, Sprinkle and Scarlet Grace and smiled. She then looked at Paradox and blushed despite herself. He looked so handsome and so nervous.

Silver Dash swallowed hard as she looked at Big Mac, her father. She remembered always visiting Sweet Apple Acres with her mother and playing with Crispin and being watched by Apple Bloom. She had been held a few times by Big Mac and she remembered him giving her a kiss or two on her forehead. She remembered that he’d smile at her whenever she accomplished something. “Hello um, Dad.” She whispered to him.Silversdad

“Silver.” He didn’t really know what to say to his daughter, he never really held any long conversations with any pony except for Rainbow Dash when they were alone. He felt nervous and he looked down at his hooves. “I’m sorry.”

Silver smiled. “Why are you sorry? Mom told me everything, it was ultimately her decision, not yours.”

“I wanted ta marry yer Ma, I asked her many times. She kept turning me down saying she didn’t need a stallion in her life.” He blurted out. “I love yer ma, but she don’t really love me back. I love ya too. Look at ya on yer wedding day. Beautiful and happy. I got to hold ya, after ya was born. Ya looked so small and helpless and I didn’t want to let ya go.” His eyes teared up. “I love ya Silver. I’m happy ta walk ya down the aisle and show every pony that I’m yer pa, and proud of ya.”

“I’m proud to call you my Dad.” She kissed Mac on his cheek. “I love you Dad.”

“We can do this.” He said as he moved up beside her. “Are ya ready ta be married to the pony of yer dreams?”

“He’s a draconequus Dad.”

Big Mac nodded. “Eeyup, I guess he is then.” His ears perked up when the music started in the throne room. “So Silver are ya ready?”

She started to breathe heavy. “Yes, I can… do this. I can. Oh! I can’t! I’m scared.” She suddenly hugged Big Mac tightly.

Mac blinked and rubbed her back. “It’s alright Silver ya don’t have ta. It’s up to ya’ll.”

She moved away from him and blinked. “Are you kidding? I love Doxy, I can get married.” She righted herself and swallowed hard. “Ready Dad?”

Big Mac sighed. “Eeyup.”

The bride’s maid Sprinkle Icing and the best stallion Crispin walked up and looked at Big Mac and Silver before entering the throne room. “Ya look gorgeous.” Crispin said. “Wow.”

She smiled shyly. “Thank you.”

LillyRose and Zero walked up next. “You look beautiful.” Lilly complimented. Zero nodded.

Scarlet Grace and her husband came up. “Whoa, hot.” Flight Strike said and got nudged by Scarlet Grace. “You look great.” He grinned.

“Beautiful as always Silver.” Scarlet Grace said. “So happy you’re going to be part of the family.”

They all entered the throne room. Silver and Big Mac waited for their cue.

Fluttershy had her grandchildren in a baby carriage. She looked in on them and smiled. She then adjusted the baby sling on her chest with her own infant. All were sleeping. Trouble was the most difficult to get to sleep being that he was the oldest of the three. Silver Dash wanted LillyRose and Grace to be her bride matrons. Paradox wanted Zero and Flight Strike as his ushers. So Fluttershy volunteered to watch the foals.runetroubleTwilight trotted over to Fluttershy. “Do you need any help?” she whispered.

“No, right now I’m fine. They are all asleep I’m hoping they stay asleep until after the ceremony.” she whispered back. “The place looks very beautiful. I’d have my birds sing for the wedding but I have my hooves full. Plus I don’t think Paradox likes birds singing.”

Twilight laughed lightly. “Anything you do for your son, he’d love.”

“Thank you Twilight.” Fluttershy whispered as she rolled the stroller back and forth.

“I’ll send over Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo to help you with the foals.” Twilight stated.

“Oh, you don’t have to do that.” Fluttershy blushed.

“Fluttershy, your son is getting married, I think you need to do more than foal sit.” She whispered.

The organ started to play rather spooky music every pony looked over to see Discord playing it dressed in a long cape and wearing a half mask. He stopped playing for a moment and hissed. “Don’t look at me! I’m hideous!” He then started to laugh as he disappeared letting the original organ player take a seat and start playing more appropriate music for the wedding.

Discord appeared in front of Fluttershy. “Hey sweetness? Looks like you have your hooves full of cute foals. Let me hold ours for you.”

She gave him the foal from the sling. “He’s asleep.” She whispered.

Discord smiled at the foal as he cradled him. “Little Snafu. Are you gonna behave while your big brother gets married?”

“Don’t wake him up.” Fluttershy warned him as she looked in on Trouble and Rune Eclipse. Rune Eclipse was snuggled up against her cousin Trouble.

Scootaloo, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle walked up to them. “Twilight sent us over here to help ya.” Apple Bloom said.

“Hmm. Hello.” Discord said to the three mares. “Yes, my wife would like to have a little help with foal sitting.”

“We all helped AJ raise Crispin.” Apple Bloom announced, “And Scootaloo did foal sitting for Rainbow Dash a couple times.”

Sweetie Belle shuffled her hooves. “I helped them. I’m good at singing lullabies to foals.”

Fluttershy smiled. “Hopefully you wouldn’t have to do much. Trouble and Rune are sleeping and Discord is holding Snafu. I am just hoping they rest until after the ceremony.”

Luna, Twilight, Discord, Lilly, Paradox and Fluttershy all sat at the table.

“What is going on?” Twilight asked. “Discord, what is this shadow?”

He looked at her. “If I knew that then I could deal with it. As of right now, I have no idea what we are dealing with.”

Luna wrinkled her nose. “The entity was forming a corporal body but before we could discern a shape it had taken Celestia and disappeared.”

“Dad, it’s the demon from my depression! It wants me back. It wants my soul. I don’t want to go back. I don’t. I… feel so helpless.” Paradox gasped out. “Please Dad don’t let it get me.”Comingforme

Discord put his paw on Paradox’s shoulder and squeezed him reassuringly. “I won’t let it near you. You’ll be alright.”

Silver Dash was standing right beside Zero; they both were in their uniforms. “It’ll be alright Doxy.” She whispered.

Zero looked at Silver. “I hope so.” He said to her.

Scarlet Grace walked into the room followed by her husband Flight Strike she had Trouble in her arms. “We came as soon as we could. What happened?”

“Twilight and Luna decided to visit Celestia in her dreams.” Discord muttered. “It didn’t go the way it should have.”

Scarlet Grace blinked. “What?”

Twilight Sparkle sighed and told Scarlet Grace what had happened to get her up to speed.

Fluttershy looked up at her daughter. “Gracie, I think Scarlet needs to place her paw on Luna or Twilight. Maybe she can get a vision of what is going on.”

Flight Strike walked forward. “Oh no. She doesn’t need the stress.”flightstrike

“Flight, it’s ok. I’ll be fine.” She gave him Trouble to hold. “It’s a good thing he’s asleep.” She walked over to Luna. “Princess Luna? May I?”

Luna glanced at every pony in the room and nodded. “Yes.”

Scarlet placed her paw on Luna’s shoulder then looked over at Twilight. “Auntie, I mean… Princess Twilight? May I?”

“Sure.” Twilight nodded, she felt odd that her niece was asking permission to touch her shoulder.

Scarlet placed her claw on Twilight and suddenly let out a soft breath. She started to blink as her eyes clouded over and they glowed white. “Revenge, retribution. He’ll please his master he’ll not be defeated. The unborn. P… Paradox. Make him be who he doesn’t want to be. Corrupt all. The ultimate prize.” She suddenly let go of both of the Alicorn’s and stumbled back. Both Zero and Silver stepped forward and steadied Scarlet Grace. She leaned on them as they led her to the chair close to Flight.

She sat down her eyes still blind as she placed her claw and paw on the table in front of her. She opened her mouth slightly and seemed to be talking to herself, a whispering noise was coming from her lips. She put her head up and gasped loudly several times as if she was needing air. When she looked back down her eyes had turned completely black.

“That is creepy.” Breathed Paradox as he stared at his younger sister.gracetrance“Shush.” LillyRose muttered.

Scarlet stared ahead with her black eyes. She opened her mouth to talk, her voice wasn’t her own. She looked directly at Paradox. “You’re going to come back.” She looked over at Discord. “I… will destroy you.”

Discord growled as he hit the table in front of Scarlet. “Who are you!?”

“You know who I am.” Scarlet growled back. “Don’t be ignorant.”

Discord suddenly frowned. “Get out of my daughter now!”

“Now Discord… You know I am just being filtered through her. Although she is quite comfortable; maybe I’ll stay for a while.”

Flight Strike got up. “NO! Not my Gracie!”

Lilly put her hoof up and made Flight sit back down. “It’s alright Flight, she’s just a vessel right now. She’ll not be harmed.”

Scarlet looks at LillyRose. “You… I underestimated you last time. I know how to get you now… You are just part of the whole.”

Scarlet suddenly gasped loudly and her head went forward and she started to shake as she closed her eyes. Everyone stood up as they watched Scarlet go into a convulsion. She grabbed the table digging her claws into the wood. She put her head back again as she growled. “GET OUT!” She shook again as she put her head against the table. She slowly opened her eyes and they were back to normal.

“Grace.” Flight Strike said to her as he gave her a kiss on her muzzle. “Are you alright?”

Grace looked at every pony staring at her. “I think I passed out. Sorry.”

Discord suddenly sat down heavily on his chair. “I think I know who it is.”

Every pony looked at him.

Twilight blinked. “WHO!?”

“It’s a demon!” Paradox yelled. “And he’s coming to drag me into Tartarus! I cannot… I won’t go!” He looked at Fluttershy. “Mom… The demon tried to turn me… he tried to make me a monster… Please Mom… Please.”

Fluttershy hugged Paradox and held him close. “It’s okay Doxy. We’ll keep you safe. Won’t we?” She looked up at Discord.

“Of course we will.” Discord answered. “Nothing is going to tear my family apart.” He looked at Twilight and Luna. “We have to talk…. Privately.”

Both Luna and Twilight nodded.

He kissed Fluttershy on her lips. “I just need to go. I’ll be back love.” Fluttershy nodded. He ruffled Paradox’s mane and hugged Lilly and Scarlet Grace. “Don’t worry I’ll fix this.”

“Dad, what are you going to do?” Lilly asked as she suddenly saw that her father was following Luna and Twilight out the door.

“I’m going to fix the problem Lilly.”

“I’m coming with you.” Lilly said.

Zero suddenly walked over to Lilly. “Dear. I don’t think it’s wise, you’re about to foal.”

She bit her bottom lip. “But… I cannot just…”

Discord looked at Lilly. “It’ll be okay. The shadow was banished before… It can be again.”

Flight Strike swallowed hard as he looked at the door in front of him. He knew that his father-in-law and the rest of the family were in the waiting room. He looked behind him and then forward again. They deserved to know.

He placed his hoof on the door let out a deep sigh and pushed it open.

Every pony looked up expectantly at him.

“Hey, um…” He began but was suddenly interrupted when Discord put his paw on his muzzle. He noticed the whole room was frozen in time.

“Don’t.” Discord said to him. “Tell me first.”

“The foal… is fine, but… Grace is very sick.” Flight swallowed. “I’m scared… Dad.”

“Let me see her.”

Flight Strike led Discord through and noticed the whole Maternity ward was frozen but when they entered the room where Epona was with Grace and the foal. Time was going like normal. Epona looked up from tending to Grace. “Discord… your daughter…”

He went over to Scarlet Grace. “Gracie… What is wrong…? Tell me.”

“Dad… I’m… so tired. Help me.” She was sweating and her eyes were blind.

“Okay, I’ll help you. Epona?”

“Do what you can.” Epona said.

“Here’s trying.” Discord placed his paw on his daughter’s forehead and closed his eyes.

“AH!” Scarlet Grace screamed loudly. The foal in the bassinet started to cry loudly and Flight Strike went to stand near his wife and put his hoof on her paw and endured the sound of her screams.

Discord let out a gasp and shook his head as his paw slipped from Scarlet Grace’s head. “She’s bleeding too much. To the left Epona.”

Epona used her healing magic. “It’s difficult to reach. I’ll try.”

“I… I…” Scarlet looked over at Flight Strike. “Flight… I love you…” She suddenly slumped; her eyes closed.

“Scarlet?” Flight said suddenly. “Dr. Epona, did she…?”

Discord felt his chest tighten up. “No…” He whispered.

“Wait… Wait no… I’m still.” Epona Calliope muttered. “I’ve got… it.”

There was a few agonizing moments, then Scarlet Grace sat up and gasped. Discord and Flight Strike looked relieved. Flight hugged his wife tightly, tears running down his muzzle and cheeks with relief. “Oh… Gracie.”

Epona let out her breath. “Scarlet… Oh thank goodness. Discord, have you ever thought to become a doctor?”

“No. I don’t like getting dirty.” He muttered as he rubbed one of his eyes. “I’ll leave the stress to you.” He shook his head and turned his attention to his daughter.

Scarlet Grace looked up from hugging her husband. “Where is our foal?”

Epona smiled as she went to the bassinet and got the foal and brought it over to her. “Here he is. Looks like his Daddy.”

Scarlet looked down at the bundle. “Oh. He’s beautiful.” She started to cry. “Dad… look at your grandson.”

Discord swallowed hard. “Um… I… don’t know. I got to get back and…” Scarlet gave him the foal. He looked down at the foal and let out a sigh. “Oh… Gracie. He’s perfect… Like you. He’s got a yellow coat like his grandmother.” He then glanced at Flight Strike. “I think you’ve gotten another reprieve from me.”

“Dad! Don’t keep threatening my husband.” Scarlet Grace huffed. “Give me Trouble.”

“Trouble?” Discord’s ears went up as he brought the foal to his daughter.

“That’s his name.” Scarlet stated as she held him and kissed the foal’s forehead. “My little Trouble.”

Flight Strike shrugged and gave Discord a grin. “It wasn’t my idea; Scarlet said that he’ll be no end of trouble so she named him that.”

Discord went to the door. “Take two… Flight. Come and announce the birth of your son.”

Flight nodded as he followed Discord out the door, he then blinked when time started up again and Discord disappeared.

Walking to the door of the waiting room he took in a deep breath and opened it. “Hey.” He said to the ponies waiting.

Twilight had helped Discord through the day with the politics of the kingdom. “Thanks Twilight, that was helpful of you. Thank goodness you knew some of those answers because I think I would have just turned them into a bunch of chickens.” He muttered as he yawned and stretched on the throne.bawk

Twilight gasped. “You really wouldn’t; would you?”

He looked at her and grinned. “Oh… no… never.” A halo slowly formed over his head and it twisted slightly then tilted.

“Hmmm.” Twilight muttered. “So Discord, when would be the best time to check on the fountain?”

Discord stood up, stretching and looked at her. “Well, it won’t be today. I have to entertain my sister. Is it urgent about Celestia? I know you have been trying to help with her health… I’ve got to tell you something though… I don’t think the water will help.”

“Why don’t you think the water will help?” Twilight asked.

“I tried it on Scarlet Grace. It didn’t help with her blindness and deafness. I believe it will purge poisons, but I don’t know about the problems of the mind.”

“It’s a risk I am willing to take.” Twilight stated.

Discord nodded. “Okay… In a month, we’ll go to the fountain. In the meantime, don’t give up searching for a different solution. Thanks again Twilight. I have to lower the sun and have dinner.”

As he finished saying dinner the throne room door opened and Misery walked in followed by Bleak Claw. “Dissy, we’re here!”

Twilight looked at Discord’s sister and backed away. Discord’s sister made her very uncomfortable. “Um, bye Discord, see you later. Say hello to Fluttershy for me.” She then blinked out.twilight

Misery stopped in mid stride. “Dissy? Who was that?”

“That was Princess Twilight Sparkle.” He said. “Apparently she’s nervous around new arrivals.”

“Oh! So you’re enjoying the princesses time then? Having some alone time with them?” She teased and nudged her husband in the side. Bleak Claw just righted himself and fluffed out his feathers.

Discord sighed and looked at his sister. “No Misery, Fluttershy is my one and only.”

“Just keep telling yourself that Dissy, that princess was looking at you like she wanted you.” She teased more.

Discord’s eye twitched. “Twilight? No, I fully doubt that. Come on, dinner will be ready soon and I still have to make the sun set.” His sister still made him annoyed and what she was suggesting was ridiculous. “Twilight is just a friend. A best friend to Fluttershy, come along.” He strode out of the throne room past his sister and didn’t wait for her to follow him.

Discord appeared again in the throne room. “So sorry about that.” He strode past Twilight and sat on the throne again. “You were saying?”

Twilight sighed. “I didn’t even get to say one word when the guard interrupted us and you just disappeared without saying a thing.”

“Twilight Sparkle,” He sat forward. “Tell me what is in that beautiful head of yours?”

She paused at his compliment. “Um…” She shook her head. “Celestia isn’t doing well, I was wondering if you are able to get me some of the Spring of Eternity’s water?”

Discord sat back as he sighed he closed his eyes as he remembered using the last of the water he saved on Scarlet Grace, hoping it’s powers would heal her partial blindness and deafness, it didn’t. “I’m out of the water. The fountain is all dried up.” He sat back up and looked at Twilight almost apologetically. “If you don’t believe me, we can go to the fountain itself.”

Twilight perked up. “We can do that?”

“Sure, but not today. I have a few things on my plate right now.” Discord sighed heavily.

Twilight suddenly noticed that Discord didn’t look as energetic as he usually was. “Are you alright?” She asked concerned.

He sat up further. “Oh yes, I am just peachy. Too much on my mind right now Twilight. I will feel better later.”

She sat there for a moment. “Do… you need any help?”

He looked at her and then looked at the throne room, where a line of ponies were starting to line up to have an audience with him. He looked back down to Twilight. “What do you know about politics?”

Scarlet Grace sat across the table from her parents she tapped her claw on the table as she waited for her husband to get into the room. “Sorry, um but he witnessed Scarlet’s prediction I was just along for the ride.”

“Nothing to worry about dear.” Fluttershy smiled at her daughter.

“I’m here, I apologize for being late.” A young Pegasus pony came into the room he had a dark gray mane and a bright orange coat; his cutie mark was a pair of wings. He walked over to Scarlet Grace and gave her a kiss. Discord sat up slightly then remembered that his daughter was married and sat back.

“Flight Strike?” Fluttershy asked him. “What was Scarlet’s prediction?”

Scarlet Grace’s husband looked at Fluttershy. “Well, it was last night and Gracie was making some salad when she dropped the spoons. I was surprised but I saw she was having one of her episodes, so I watched and listened to her.”

“What did she say?” Discord asked as he sat up again.

Flight Strike looked at his father-in-law warily. “I… um…” He swallowed hard.flightstrike

Scarlet Grace placed her paw on him and smiled. “Dad, you’re scaring him again.”

Discord folded his arms. “I’m not sorry; he’ll have to get over the fact that I’m intimidating.”

Fluttershy smiled as she flapped her wings. “Flight Strike, just tell me, okay?”

He looked at her and he visibly relaxed. “Sorry but anyway; Scarlet said: There is a wall, the reign is not ending. The shadow will return.”

Discord stood up and Flight Strike shrank back. “Was that all she said?”

“Yes, I’m sorry I really tried to pay attention.” He whispered and walked slightly behind Scarlet Grace.

“For a pony that married some pony that looks almost like her father, you sure are nervous around me.” Discord grinned. “Scarlet Grace resembles me. Why are you more frightened of me than her?” He asked as he loomed over Flight Strike.

“You’re her father, I respect you and… you’re scary. Scarlet is so beautiful, sweet and kind.” Flight Strike answered with big eyes.

Fluttershy started to giggle.

Discord looked at her. “What? Am I not beautiful, sweet and kind?”

“In your own way.” Fluttershy replied still giggling.

Scarlet Grace hugged Flight and kissed his cheek. “Dad isn’t that scary.”

“Says you, he’s your father.” He grinned up at Discord. “Sir… dad… Um can Scarlet Grace and I go now?”

Discord frowned. “No.”

Scarlet Grace looked at her father in shock. “Dad, why?”

He pouted at Scarlet Grace. “It’s like you don’t want to see me anymore. The first to leave the nest, the first to be married. Makes me sad.”

“Don’t be sad.” She grinned. “It’s okay Dad, Flight just wants to pick up some things in Canterlot. Besides I’m not the first in everything, I was the last born.”

Fluttershy looked up. “Not for long.”

“What?” Scarlet looked at her mother. “Mom? Are you saying?”

Fluttershy was blushing as she smiled and nodded. “Yes.”

Scarlet got up and walked around the table to hug her mother. “I’m going to be an older sister!” She hugged Fluttershy. “This is so exciting! Does Paradox and LillyRose know yet?”

“No.” Discord answered. “Lilly is still gone and Paradox has been scarce today, probably hanging out with your Mother’s guard.”

Scarlet Grace started to blink. “Mother’s guard? You mean Silver Dash?”

Fluttershy nodded. “Yes…” She brought her hoof up and waved it to Discord.

Flight Strike noticed Fluttershy waving and he quickly went to stand next to his wife. Discord’s ears went up and he walked closer to Fluttershy to look at Scarlet.

“You can’t leave yet Lilly. You are needed in Canterlot.”

Scarlet started to blink faster and she suddenly grabbed Discord and her eyes became clouded over. “Nervous tension, someone has feelings, you will be accused, but nothing will come of it. The baby… the baby…” She stumbled slightly and Flight steadied her. “Celebrations, happiness and sadness. The shadow… it waits and will no longer be starved.”

Fluttershy said in a shaky voice. “What about the baby? Whose baby? Which baby?”

Scarlet Grace blinked her eyes again and saw all three of them looking at her. “What? Oh… I have a bad headache. Don’t tell me… I did it again?” She placed her paw on her pregnant belly.

“Yes, you did.” Discord said as he helped his daughter sit down with the assistance of Flight Strike. “Now I insist you and Flight stay here and have dinner with us.”

“What did I, I mean Scarlet say?” She asked as she sat down.

“You grabbed your father’s arm.” Flight said. “Just relax please.”

Discord kneeled in front of his daughter. “Scarlet mentioned a baby, but didn’t say anything more about it. She also said something about celebrations, happiness and sadness. I really wish I could figure out Scarlet’s predictions, but we don’t know the answers behind them until they happen. The shadow was mentioned again, I am not happy to know about the shadow.”

Flight Strike looked up. “What is the shadow?”

“The shadow is the reason Discord is ruling Equestria in Celestia’s place.” Fluttershy explained.

“I thought…” He stopped talking when he looked at his father-in-law. “Never mind.”

Discord started to laugh. “Grace, you never told him?”

“It slipped my mind.” She smiled. “I was busy…”pregnantsg

“Yeah, busy.” Discord made air quotes at the word busy.
