“You should start teaching them chaotic magic now.” Discord said.

“No.” Paradox frowned at his father. “Chaotic magic is the reason why no pony remembers Lilly!”

Discord stared at Paradox for a long moment and then let out a deep sigh. “I remind your mother everyday… She forgets every day.”

“Because of that spell.” Paradox growled. “You know you can give her the memory back, but you won’t… why?”

Discord crossed his arms and turned away from his son. “I… don’t want her to be mad at me.”

“What happened? I need to know; all I remember is that I am so mad at you! I am so… angry with you… I want to… just… ARGH!” Paradox punched the wall nearby making a hole in it.

Discord turned and looked at the damage. “Dox, you shouldn’t punch walls.” He said as he used magic to repair it.

“I don’t care.” He replied as he rubbed his paw. “Until you give us our memories back… I don’t want you to tell me how I should raise my daughters. They don’t need to learn chaotic magic. Silver and I can teach them the basics.”

“They have great potential Dox, don’t let that go to waste. I can see them ruling Equestria one day.”

Paradox gave his father a venomous stare. “They are not you. I don’t know how Mom puts up with you.”

Discord grinned and went to give his son a reason why.

“I don’t really want to know!” Paradox growled and placed his paws on his ears.

Paradox gave his father a look that made him grit his teeth. “Dox. I’m serious about teaching your girls chaotic magic.”

“Then get Lilly to teach them, oh yeah! You can’t because you won’t tell me where you banished her!”

Discord sighed. “I don’t know where… I can’t remember, the same spell was put on me.”

“That is a bunch of…”

“Doxy?” Fluttershy interrupted Paradox as she walked in the room. “Why are you yelling?”

“No reason mom. Sorry. I’ll go. Love you, mom.” He marched from the room his feathers were ruffled up.

Fluttershy watched her son leave and suddenly frowned at her husband. “What did you do wrong? You and Doxy have been arguing for months now. Why?”

Discord looked away from Fluttershy, “No reason.” He lied.no_reasonShe frowned more. “Discord…”

“Dear sweet Fluttershy, you know that I love you very much…” He turned around and looked at her with a large grin.

“Uh huh… yes.” She whispered as she looked at him warily. “What does this have to do with Dox being angry with you?”

Discord slowly curled up around her. “We’re not arguing we’re just having a heated discussion; a debate really, about guy things.”

She looked at him. “I think you’re lying to me. Discord, please tell me… What is going on?”

He let out a huge sigh as he looked into her clear aqua eyes. “I’ll tell you, but after today is over you’d forget again.”

“I doubt that.” She said.

He nodded as he started to tell her why Paradox was mad at him. He then sighed as his wife started to cry and became angry at him as well. “Tomorrow you’ll forget about this conversation… that is my only saving grace…” He muttered.

Silver walked in the bedroom and saw Paradox lying on the bed. He had been moody ever since talking to Zero. She walked slowly over to him didn’t say anything as she sat down on the bed.

He glanced over at Silver and slowly turned on his side facing her. “Silver…”

She looked at him. “Yes Doxy?”

“I’m not going crazy am I? I do have a twin right?” He asked.

She shook her head. “You’re not going crazy. You have a sister named LillyRose; remember I was her friend. I remember the first time I met her…”

Silver was sitting next to Rainbow Dash at preschool. She was shaking nervously as she looked at the other fillies and colts around. “Hey, relax Silver, you won’t be going here full time.” Rainbow Dash smiled at her foal. “You’ll be going to flight school part time in Cloudsdale. Here you’ll socialize with others your own age.”

“I don’t wanna.” Silver said as she hid her face inside Rainbow’s tail.

“Hello?” A voice said to Silver.

Silver uncovered her eyes and looked up at the owner of the voice. LillyRose was smiling at her showing her fang. “I umm… Hi.” Silver said softly. “I’m Silver.”

LillyRose smiled. “I’m Lilly. It’s so good to see you.” She flapped her wings as she turned to look behind her. “That colt over there talking to that filly… it’s my twin brother Paradox.”

Silver looked at the colt and just stared. He was standing on his back legs and leaning against a shelf as he chatted with a filly who was blushing and giggling. “That’s your twin?” She looked back at Lilly.flashbackclr

Lilly nodded. “Yeah, he’s weird. Come on. I want to show you these toys I found.”

Silver looked up at her mother. “Go on Silver, Lilly is my friend’s daughter, she’s almost as cool as you.” Rainbow Dash smiled. Silver trotted after Lilly but looked back at Paradox again and gave a huge sigh.

Lilly and Silver played all that day. Silver enjoyed playing hide and seek. Found out Lilly was really good at magic when they played make believe. She made the little dolls move.

Fluttershy came over to the daycare to get Lilly and Paradox. She saw Lilly playing with Silver and smiled. Rainbow Dash showed up a few moments later landing next to Fluttershy. “Thank you Fluttershy.”

Fluttershy blinked at her friend. “Why are you thanking me?”

“My little filly started today and Lilly was the first one to make friends with her.”

“You should thank Lilly as well.” Fluttershy whispered.

“Mom!” Paradox said as he flew over to Fluttershy and hugged her front leg. “This place is boring. I don’t want to come back. There aren’t enough ponies to talk to.” He looked up at Rainbow Dash. “Hi… aunt Rainbow… um… I swear I’ve been good… I don’t wanna do laps…”

Lilly and Silver walked in giggling and talking. They both stopped and looked at their mothers. Silver turned to Lilly. “I had fun. Friends?”

Lilly nodded. “Yes. Friends.” They giggled as they hugged.

Paradox made a face at Lilly as she walked up to him and Fluttershy. She stuck her tongue out at him.

Silver trotted over to her mom waving at Lilly but her eyes were drawn to Paradox. She felt her cheeks warm up as she looked at him she also felt like her little heart was going to fall out of her chest. She looked at her mother in shock when she realized she was talking to her.

“Huh?”

“Did you have fun?” Rainbow asked her daughter again.

“Yes. Lilly and I had a lot of fun. Do I really have to go to flight school?”

Paradox looked at her as he lay in his back. “You had a crush on me way back then?”

She nodded. “Of course. As soon as I saw you… I was fascinated with you. You ignored me. I think you ignored me because I was Lilly’s friend.”

He stared at her for a long moment. “Lilly is a good sister. I guess I didn’t think of her friends as date material, because I didn’t want to ruin her friendships because I dated them.” He made a face as he sighed. “What is Solana and Selene doing?”

Silver smiled. “They aren’t here… Mom is watching them today, she’s visiting Sweet Apple Acres and she wanted to show the foals off. Plus, Dad wanted to see them, he’s been so busy with cider season going on.”

Paradox’s ears went up. “Oh… really?” He started to smile slightly.

Silver smiled and nodded as her cheeks started to redden with a blush. “Yes, we have all afternoon together.” She slowly crawled onto the bed more while looking into his eyes. He kept lying on his back as he watched her crawl towards him.

“You have a wicked little smile on your face.” He said softly.

“I know.” She said as she got closer to him.

“Should I be scared for my life?” He asked.

“Do you think you should be?” She asked as she placed her hoof on his leg. She sat up slightly and looked at him as he lay on his back. “It doesn’t look like you’re too scared.” Her cheeks were burning as she looked at him.

The playground was fairly crowded and Zero was sitting on the bench watching as his daughter Rune Eclipse played in a sandbox. He watched as she blinked her golden eyes at another filly walking by her; she didn’t smile or make a sound she just watched the filly walk by. Zero suddenly blinked when he saw Paradox step up beside him. “Hello Dox. What brings you here? Don’t you have acting to do?”

Paradox walked over and sat next to his brother in law. “What is new Zero?”

Zero looked down at the ground after glancing at his daughter to be sure she was safe. “Nothing is new, except that Discord has started to teach Rune magic.”sadzero

“What?” Paradox gasped. “Why are you letting him do that?”

Zero shook his head as he shrugged. “I cannot teach her magic. Lilly isn’t here to… teach her either.” He swallowed. “I must have… made her leave… I did something wrong. I ran her away.” He suddenly looked up at his brother-in-law. “You know where she is! I think you should tell me. I need her back Dox.”

Paradox stood up. “I don’t… Zero, I don’t know where Lilly is, I think dad knows but he won’t talk to me. Every time I even try to ask about her… I feel so angry at him.” He looked over at the sand box and saw Rune pick up a bucket of sand and pour it in a small tin plate. The plate tin started to glow red as it hovered and poured back into the bucket. She suddenly looked over at them, she smiled and stood up quickly as she suddenly beat her wings and flew over to them.

“Uncle Doxy!” Rune squealed as she flew over and landed clumsily in her uncle’s arms. “Doxy. Dox! Doxy!”

“Rune.” Paradox said as he hugged his niece. “You’re flying better.”littlerune

“Tank you. Da helps me. Grandspa is teaching me magics! He’s teachin’ Snafie too.” She talked quickly as her little wings flapped. “Will you teach me how to paints one day?”

“I will, after I teach Solana and Selene. You’ve gotten big, reminds me of your mom a lot. Beautiful, smart, that thick black and dark blue mane.” He pet down her mane softly and then put her down on the bench next to Zero. He got on his knees and looked at Zero and Rune. “I’ll do what I can to find out what happened to Lilly.”

Rune tilted her head slightly. “I will find out Uncle Doxy. Da and I miss mama. She was beautiful and had stars in her mane.”

Zero looked at Rune. “Rune Bug? You remember her?”

“Yes Da. Mama is beautiful. At night… Princess Luna tells me about her as I sleep.” Rune leaned against Zero. “She says I have ta remembers my Mama, because I can bring her backs one day… maybe.”

Paradox pet her mane. “It’s good to dream little one. Thanks for being on my side.”

“I love you Uncle Doxy.” Rune beamed as she flapped her wings again. “When can I play with Selene and Solana? I think we’d have fun playing. I wanna show them how I make stars shine in the sand.”

“You make stars shine in sand?” Paradox asked.

She nodded. “Yes, watch.” She frowned as the slightly crooked horn on her forehead started to glow red. The bucket of sand floated from the sand box and floated over to them, Rune put her hooves up and held the bucket and looked in it. “See.” Her horn glowed again and the sand turned black and little lights started to emerge from the sand. Both Paradox and Zero gasped at the sight. The lights twinkled and shone briefly then faded as quickly as they appeared. Rune suddenly yawned. “Sorry… that make me sleepy.” She wrinkled her nose and yawned again. “Da… I need to go home.”

Zero nodded as he picked her up and started to flap his wings. “Ok Rune, you need your nap.” He looked at Paradox. “Take care Dox, if I learn anything new… I’ll let you know. Rune likes to make up stories about Lilly, sometimes I wish they were true stories.”

Paradox stood up. “I wouldn’t make light of her dreams Zero… You know as well as I do that dreams can change instantly.” He looked at Rune. “Take care Rune. I love you always.”

“I love you Uncle Doxy and Auntie Silvie too.” Rune said as she yawned and nuzzled against Zero’s chest.

Silver looked at the trophy for second place Paradox got for racing her mother. He had placed it on a shelf with his thank you plaque for helping with putting up decorations in the town hall and a statue for most memorable performance in a Broadneigh play. She looked over at him as he leaned back on the couch and held Selene and Solana. Selene was placing her paws on his muzzle as he was making faces at her. Solana was napping on his chest.

“Do you ever feel like you were cheated out of a cutie mark?” Silver asked him suddenly.

He looked at her. “What?”

“You never got a cutie mark. Why?”

Paradox blinked. “I never dwelled on it.” He said. “I figure it’s because dad doesn’t have one and I’m a draconequus. Why do you ask?”

“No pony ever teased you or your sisters?” She asked.

He started to laugh. “Anyone teased Grace she’d predict their demise… and…” He paused as he slowly placed Selene on the couch as he sat up. “Why does Lilly seem to slip my mind?” He shook his head. “I guess it wasn’t that big of deal for us.”

“Do you think our little girls will get cutie marks?” She said as she walked over to him.

He looked at Solana napping on his lap and at Selene who was playing with strands of his tail running her paws along his hair and smiling. “The only thing not pony about them are their paws. They might get cutie marks or not… I’m not sure. What are you afraid of?”

“I’m afraid they’ll be teased about it.” She whispered.

He looked at her. “Silver, I don’t believe they’ll be teased, I’m sure they’ll get along with most of the ponies here in Ponyville.”

“I just want them to be happy. I don’t think they should worry about getting a cutie mark. If they don’t have to.” She looked at Selene.

“When they are older we’ll explain it to them if they ask. It’s all we can do.” He placed his paw down next to Selene and started to move his fingers fast along the couch to make her pounce on him. She pounced and dug her claws into him. “Ouch…” He whimpered. Selene giggled. Seleneattacks

Silver laughed. “Serves you right. Teasing her.”

“I wasn’t teasing her, I was playing with her… Her claws are sharp.” Selene made a loud growling noise as she gripped his paw with her front claws and bit his thumb. “Hey!” Paradox yelped as he tried to extract his paw from her grip. She growled more and bit his other paw. He looked pitifully at Silver. “Help?”

Silver laughed and put her hooves up. “Sorry, this is between you and your daughter.”

Twilight looked at every pony in the room. “Um… I’ll tell them later.” Her cheeks were burning red.

Discord blinked at her. “Why not tell them now? Aww… did you walk in on them doing something naughty?” He went over to the door.

“Discord, don’t bother your son.” Fluttershy whispered as she held their new foal.

“Yeah dad. He had a lot of emotional backlash from my labor he probably needs the release.” LillyRose said sleepily.

“Alright, I am not sure what you mean…” He strode over to Fluttershy, she handed him their newest addition he looked at the foal and smiled. “Right little Snafu?”

Epona looked at Discord. “Seriously? You named him Snafu?”

“Yes…” He grinned. “What a better name for my foal then a confused and chaotic state of being?”

Epona shook her head. “I would like to go home now.” She went to the door.

Twilight gasped. “I… don’t think that is a good idea.”

“I have to get my foal, they aren’t doing anything I haven’t seen before. If it wasn’t obvious, I have had my fair share of mates.” She looked around the room. Discord was acting like he didn’t know what she was talking about and was whistling as he looked away. Fluttershy looked at Discord and gave small frown. Twilight was blushing and Luna was trying hard not to laugh. Lilly had fallen asleep as Zero was totally oblivious to the conversation as he held their foal. Epona opened the door to go get her foal from Silver and Paradox.

Paradox and Silver were leaning against one another and looked at Epona as she walked in. Silver was holding her foal gently. “Hi Dr. Epona.” Silver said.

“Hello Silver. Thank you for watching Cobalt Lust.” She said as she took the foal from Silver.

“His name is Cobalt Lust? What sort of name is that?” Paradox asked.

Epona laughed. “Oh this foal is special.” She nuzzled her baby. “He has an incredible talent.”

Silver blinked. “And that is?”

“You’ve already experienced it.” Epona said. “Thanks again for watching him.” She nodded as her horn glowed and she disappeared.

Paradox blinked. “We already experienced it?”

Silver laughed. “Think about it Doxy… Were you that horny before you touched his wings and feathers?”

Paradox blinked. “Uh, no.” He then blushed. “Whoa. That foal can be dangerous!”

Discord appeared outside Epona Calliope’s house. He looked around then walked to the door and knocked.

Epona opened the door and looked up at Discord in surprise. She was holding a bundle in her arms. “Lord Discord? What brings you here?”epona

“My daughter LillyRose is in labor. I’d hate to bother you but, you are the only one that I know that can help us.”

“But Discord, I have my own foal to take care of, couldn’t you ask the other local pony doctor?” She suggested.

“I can foal sit for you. If you would just help my daughter. Please.” He said softly “I’ll take you right to her.”

“I don’t think you’d make a good foal sitter…” She said and suddenly squeaked when he picked her up.

“I’m a father of Paradox, LillyRose and Scarlet Grace. I think I can take care of a foal for a couple hours.” He teleported them all.

“I can’t do this!” Lilly yelled out. Sweat was rolling down her face and she looked at Zero. “Zero…. I can’t believe you… did this to me.”

“I… Lilly… that’s not fair.” Zero stuttered and looked at his wife in shock.

“Never fear. Discord is here!” Discord entered the room carrying Epona at arm’s length. “I brought the doctor.” He had a baby sling across his chest where Epona’s foal was.

Epona had a frown on her face, had her arms crossed as she looked at Lilly, Zero and Fluttershy. “Yeah, I’m here against my will. Let’s all celebrate.”

“Discord…?” Fluttershy said sternly at him.

“I just brought our favorite goddess of horses and birth to my daughter. You should be happy my love.” Discord said as he placed Epona down softly.

“Don’t worry Fluttershy, I’ll help LillyRose.” She then looked at Fluttershy and gulped. “I suggest you sit down soon Fluttershy.”

Fluttershy looked at Epona curiously. “Um… okay? I am glad you are here to take care of Lilly, where is your child?”

“Your husband is holding my foal, but I suggest a new foal sitter in about twenty seconds.” She said as she trotted over to Lilly. “LillyRose?”

Lilly looked at her doctor as she panted. “Yes?”

“You’re breathing well; where is your brother? I think he and his fiancé needs to watch my foal soon, because your mother… is going to go into labor in a few seconds.” She said quietly without Discord hearing her.

Zero and Lilly’s ears went forward and they both asked. “What!”

“Don’t worry.” Epona stated as she looked over Lilly. She magically summoned a stethoscope and she put them in her ears and listened to her. A couple other things magically appeared that would aid in the birth of a foal. “Everything will be alright.”

Paradox came running into the room with blankets and towels. “I brought all I could.” He said panting. He watched as they magically floated out of his paws. One was magically draped over Lilly’s stomach and back legs.

“Thank you Paradox. Now get my foal from your father please.” Epona stated quietly.

“What? Why does he need to hold him?” Discord asked suddenly as he took the foal from the sling and started to place the sling around Paradox’s chest.

“AH!” Fluttershy gasped out suddenly and clutched her stomach.

Discord’s eyes widened. “Fluttershy?” He quickly handed Epona’s foal to Paradox.

“AH!!!” LillyRose gasped aloud too.

“Looks like this is going to be a busy room.” Epona said calmly. “Discord, tend to your wife. She’s in labor as well.”

Silver Dash showed up with a bucket of water. She put it down and saw that Fluttershy as well as her friend LillyRose was in labor. She looked over at Paradox who was holding a foal in his paws and looking completely lost. “What did I just walk in on?”

Paradox was instantly awake. “Lilly is in labor.”

Silver yawned as she looked at him. “What Doxy?” She asked, she had been trying to keep him awake for a few hours and she felt worn out.

“Lilly needs me to help her. Silver come on. I need to give her my strength.” He was on his feet fast as he grabbed Silver’s hoof. “No time to rest my love.”

Silver yawned again. “Okay.” She let him drag her down the hallway.

He turned a corner and looked back at her when she hadn’t caught up with him. “Silver?”

“Can’t you just use your teleportation magic and just pop us over to Lilly?” She asked tiredly.

“You’re a genius!” He replied as he grabbed her and they suddenly appeared in the room with Zero and Lilly.

Lilly looked up at her brother and she started to cry. “Thank goodness you’re here!”

“I’m here for you Lilly.” Paradox said as he went to his sister. “You need to get into the bed, you cannot foal on the cold floor.” He picked Lilly up and carried her over to a bed. “Your Brother will be here for you.” He then turned to look at Zero. “Go and get Mom and any pony else you can.”

Lilly nodded as she sniffled. “I’ll be ok.”

“What about me?” Silver asked.

Paradox stopped for a moment. “Whoa, that hurt!” He looked at his sister in surprise.

“Sorry.” Lilly said as grit her teeth. “The pain is getting worse and I have to tell you something…”

“No… shush…” He said as he looked at Silver. “Come here Silver… I need you to be sure we both don’t pass out from pain.” He suddenly grabbed his stomach and let out a groan. Lilly gasped and groaned as well.

“I’m confused!” Silver said suddenly. “It’s like you both are going to have a foal at once!”

“I’m just trying to take all her pain.” Paradox said as he gasped. “I’m not having a foal… she is… I just want her to transfer her pain to me.”

“I can’t give you all of my pain Dox.” Lilly cried out. “I really have to tell you something!”

“Can it wait?” Paradox asked.

“No… No it can’t.” Lilly hissed through the pain.

Silver pat her hoof. “Tell us Lilly.”

“I had fallen asleep… before I… went into labor, I had a dream…”

Paradox looked at her in shock. “We weren’t supposed to sleep.”

She shook her head then let out a groan of pain. “I know… The shadow was there and…”

Paradox shook his head, “No… I know already… Don’t tell me. The foal is safe, believe me.”

Fluttershy came into the room and slid across the floor she stopped to look at Lilly, Silver and Paradox. “Good, I’m not too late. I sent a message to Dr. Calliope, but I think she’s taking a break because she just had a foal herself a month ago.”

Fluttershy looked at her son in shock. “Doxy? You look like you’re in pain.”

“I’m alright Mom. Lilly needs help.” He stumbled back against the wall.

Silver went over to him. “Relax Dox. Fluttershy and I can help Lilly.”

He nodded and slid down to the floor as pain was shooting through him. “It’s kind of hard to relax…”

Zero ran into the room panting as Discord pushed him aside. “Zero found me as soon as Twilight and I got back from Tartarus.” He went over to Lilly and Fluttershy.

“Daddy… Zero…” Lilly cried lightly and let out a moan as she felt pain run over her stomach.

Zero trotted over after he caught his breath. “Lilly, I’m sorry I shouldn’t have… fallen asleep… I should’ve stayed awake.”

Discord turned to look at him. “You fell asleep? Who was keeping Lilly from sleeping?”

“It’s okay Dad…” Paradox got up while holding onto the wall. “It’s not Zeros fault.”

“What happened? I need to know.”

Lilly let out a loud yell. “I fell asleep, don’t blame Zero!” She panted as she looked at Discord. “I’ll tell you what happened… I…” She let out a moan and started to cry.

“Ah!” Paradox suddenly fell to his knees. “That is painful!!!”

Discord looked from his son to his daughter and back again. “What is going on?”

Paradox grit his teeth and feigned a smile. “I’m trying to take Lilly’s pain away.”

“Doxy? You can do that?” Fluttershy asked, she had been wondering why her son was acting the way he was.

Discord walked over to his son and put his paw on his head. Paradox blinked a couple times. “Thanks dad.” He sighed and leaned against the wall with a relieved smile on his face.

“Now Lilly. Tell me what happened? It’s important what happened in your dream.”

LillyRose panted as she tried to calm down. “I fell asleep and I dreamed the shadow, it was stronger…” She grit her teeth and stifled a cry. “I was ready to fight it, but it said it didn’t want me… and started to wrap is tentacles around my pregnant belly.” She looked up at her father. “It wants to possess my foal.”

Paradox suddenly stood up. “No! This uncle won’t allow it.”

Fluttershy gasped. “Can it do that?”

Discord shook his head, “I don’t know what it can do, I confronted my brother, he’s not doing this directly, but I do think he’s involved in some way.”

“You said that uncle Sorrow was dead.” Paradox mumbled as he looked at LillyRose then back to Discord.

“He is.” He muttered. “He’s a demon, and he has no control over us.”

Paradox’s ears went back as his eyes widened. “Wh… what?” He swallowed hard. “He’s been haunting my dreams! He’s the demon! He trying to make me miserable.”

“He’s trying to make you his replacement.” Discord growled. “I told him to leave you alone.”

“Replacement? What am I supposed to replace?”

“He wants you to bring the end.”

Every pony stared at Discord except for Fluttershy she was trying hard not to be emotional. She spoke first. “Your father and his siblings were destined to be the destruction of Equestria. Aunt Misery is Famine, your father is War, your aunt Rose is Death and your uncle was Pestilence.”

Paradox blinked several times and LillyRose was so shocked that she forgot her labor pains.

“Wait a minute?” Silver Dash spoke up. “This Pestilence demon wants my Doxy to take his place?”

Sighing deeply Discord nodded. “That is his intention.”

“Forget that!” Paradox yelled. “I’m not some puppet to amuse my uncle. Dad, how do I get rid of him?”

“You don’t. He’s already dead. The only way to not become him is to be happy and you’re already on that road and you did that all on your own.” Discord said as a smile returned to his face. “Now LillyRose, your baby is safe. The question remains are you still in labor?”

LillyRose looked at her father and blinked. “I… Don’t think I am in labo… Ooh! Nope, spoke too soon.” She let out a gasp. “I really do think… The foal is coming.” She leaned forward suddenly and let out a groan.

Zero’s ears went forward. “Alright!” He pointed at Silver Dash. “Silver. Get some water.” Silver saluted and trotted from the room. “Paradox, I need you to find some towels and blankets for your sister. This may get messy.” He glanced at Discord suddenly and gulped at the look his father-in-law gave him, but he continued. “Lady Fluttershy, can you help your daughter?”

“I can, but I really think we need a doctor here.” Fluttershy said softly.

“I’ll try and get Epona.” Discord said suddenly and disappeared.

“Zero…?” Lilly panted out.

He went to his wife’s side. “Yes Lilly?” He said as he looked at her and placed his hoof against her shoulder.

“I… Think you made an impression on dad.” She said and took in a deep breath.

He blinked. “I did?”

She nodded and suddenly let out a scream. “Ah! Oh, I wish this didn’t hurt…”

“What is going on?” Twilight asked. “Discord, what is this shadow?”

He looked at her. “If I knew that then I could deal with it. As of right now, I have no idea what we are dealing with.”

Luna wrinkled her nose. “The entity was forming a corporal body but before we could discern a shape it had taken Celestia and disappeared.”

Discord put his paw on Paradox’s shoulder and squeezed him reassuringly. “I won’t let it near you. You’ll be alright.”

Silver Dash was standing right beside Zero; they both were in their uniforms. “It’ll be alright Doxy.” She whispered.

Zero looked at Silver. “I hope so.” He said to her.

Scarlet Grace walked into the room followed by her husband Flight Strike she had Trouble in her arms. “We came as soon as we could. What happened?”

“Twilight and Luna decided to visit Celestia in her dreams.” Discord muttered. “It didn’t go the way it should have.”

Scarlet Grace blinked. “What?”

Twilight Sparkle sighed and told Scarlet Grace what had happened to get her up to speed.

Fluttershy looked up at her daughter. “Gracie, I think Scarlet needs to place her paw on Luna or Twilight. Maybe she can get a vision of what is going on.”

“Sure.” Twilight nodded, she felt odd that her niece was asking permission to touch her shoulder.

Scarlet placed her claw on Twilight and suddenly let out a soft breath. She started to blink as her eyes clouded over and they glowed white. “Revenge, retribution. The ultimate prize.” She suddenly let go of both of the Alicorn’s and stumbled back. Both Zero and Silver stepped forward and steadied Scarlet Grace. She leaned on them as they led her to the chair close to Flight.

She sat down her eyes still blind as she placed her claw and paw on the table in front of her. She opened her mouth slightly and seemed to be talking to herself, a whispering noise was coming from her lips. She put her head up and gasped loudly several times as if she was needing air. When she looked back down her eyes had turned completely black.

“That is creepy.” Breathed Paradox as he stared at his younger sister.gracetrance“Shush.” LillyRose muttered.

Scarlet stared ahead with her black eyes. She opened her mouth to talk, her voice wasn’t her own. She looked directly at Paradox. “You’re going to come back.” She looked over at Discord. “I… will destroy you.”

Discord growled as he hit the table in front of Scarlet. “Who are you!?”

“You know who I am.” Scarlet growled back. “Don’t be ignorant.”

Discord suddenly frowned. “Get out of my daughter now!”

“Now Discord… You know I am just being filtered through her. Although she is quite comfortable; maybe I’ll stay for a while.”

Flight Strike got up. “NO! Not my Gracie!”

Lilly put her hoof up and made Flight sit back down. “It’s alright Flight, she’s just a vessel right now. She’ll not be harmed.”

Scarlet looks at LillyRose. “You… I underestimated you last time. I know how to get you now… You are just part of the whole.”

Scarlet suddenly gasped loudly and her head went forward and she started to shake as she closed her eyes. Everyone stood up as they watched Scarlet go into a convulsion. She grabbed the table digging her claws into the wood. She put her head back again as she growled. “GET OUT!” She shook again as she put her head against the table. She slowly opened her eyes and they were back to normal.

“Grace.” Flight Strike said to her as he gave her a kiss on her muzzle. “Are you alright?”

Grace looked at every pony staring at her. “I think I passed out. Sorry.”

Discord suddenly sat down heavily on his chair. “I think I know who it is.”

Every pony looked at him.

Twilight blinked. “WHO!?”

“It’s a demon!” Paradox yelled. “And he’s coming to drag me into Tartarus! I cannot… I won’t go!” He looked at Fluttershy. “Mom… The demon tried to turn me… he tried to make me a monster… Please Mom… Please.”

Fluttershy hugged Paradox and held him close. “It’s okay Doxy. We’ll keep you safe. Won’t we?” She looked up at Discord.

“Of course we will.” Discord answered. “Nothing is going to tear my family apart.” He looked at Twilight and Luna. “We have to talk…. Privately.”

Both Luna and Twilight nodded.

He kissed Fluttershy on her lips. “I just need to go. I’ll be back love.” Fluttershy nodded. He ruffled Paradox’s mane and hugged Lilly and Scarlet Grace. “Don’t worry I’ll fix this.”

“Dad, what are you going to do?” Lilly asked as she suddenly saw that her father was following Luna and Twilight out the door.

“I’m going to fix the problem Lilly.”

“I’m coming with you.” Lilly said.

Zero suddenly walked over to Lilly. “Dear. I don’t think it’s wise, you’re about to foal.”

She bit her bottom lip. “But… I cannot just…”

Discord looked at Lilly. “It’ll be okay. The shadow was banished before… It can be again.”

Discord rolled in his sleep and he suddenly sat up and smacked his lips. “What is that pounding in my ears?”

Fluttershy awoke too and heard the loud pounding on the door. “Some pony is at the front door. Can you get that? Tell them we already have everything we need.”

Discord nodded as he sleepily got up from the bed and stumbled over to the door. He opened it and Lilly fell onto the floor in front of him. “It’s Lilly.” He told Fluttershy.

“I thought we already ordered lilies?” Fluttershy muttered in her sleep.

Lilly got up and looked at her father. “Dad… I have something to tell you.”

Discord yawned and stretched. “Sure tell me. I think I’m awake enough to hear you.”

“The shadow is back… It was trying to possess Doxy.” She said trying to hold back the panic from her voice.

Discord suddenly felt wide awake. “WHAT?”

Fluttershy sat up when she heard the tone of her husband’s voice. “What’s wrong?”

Zero sat up; he had gotten to bed late after the long meeting he, Lilly, and Discord had about giving Fluttershy a baby shower. “What? Are you in labor? Do we need to get to the hospital?”

Lilly shook her head as she looked at her husband, her eyes wide in fright. “The shadow it… We have to tell dad!” She blinked as tears started to fall from her eyes.

Zero got out of bed and looked around the room. “How do you know this?”

“Paradox told me.” Lilly said as she got out of bed. “Come on, it’s important that Dad knows.”

“Wait… Lilly.” He said but she was already opening the door to their room.

“Zero, we cannot wait forever.” She said… She clicked her tongue and appeared beside him. She grabbed his hoof and clicked her tongue again and they both appeared just outside Discord and Fluttershy’s room. The two guards stood there and looked at them in shock when they appeared.

One guard blinked and recovered from the shock quickly. “Halt.”

“I have to talk to my Dad! It’s important.” Lilly said to the guard.

“Lord Discord said that he and Lady Fluttershy wasn’t to be disturbed.”

Zero walked up to them. “Lord Discord had appointed me captain of the night guard. Stand down. Lilly has to see her father.”

“Sir!” Both guards said together when they recognized Zero and they saluted.

Lilly went up to the door and knocked loudly upon it. “Mom! Dad!”
