“Doxy, please relax.” Silver said to him as he paced back and forth in the living room.

“I am mad that Dad decided to teach the girls after I told him I didn’t want him to teach them anything.” He put his paws up.

“They just learned to fly Dox, it’s not like they know chaotic magic.” Silver said calmly as she walked into the kitchen.

“Silver!” Paradox went after her.

“Yes?” She asked as she started to take plates from the cupboard.

“What if he’s teaching them chaotic magic without my knowledge? I don’t want them to learn it. I never got the hang of it and I know it’s the reason that LillyRose is missing.” Paradox helped her by taking utensils out of the drawer.

“Are you really sure that is the reason?” Silver asked as she opened the oven and looked at the dinner that was cooking. It was vegetarian lasagna. “I think another ten minutes.” She said as she closed the oven.

Paradox sniffed the dinner and smacked his lips. “That smells so good.” He shook his head. “I am not sure… but I know it has to be a factor.”

“It’s not ready yet.” She said softly. “Maybe you should talk to your father about the girls again.”

“I have already told him not to teach them chaotic magic.”

“Ah, but you didn’t tell him not to teach them to fly.” She replied.Iseeu

He closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh. “Silver, you are too smart for your own good. You discovered the loophole and Dad has a clever way of finding loopholes and taking every advantage of it.” He kissed Silver on her cheek as he placed the utensils next to the plates she had put on the table.

“He is your father. You should talk to him Dox. You can’t stay mad at him forever; he has every right to be around the girls as your mother does.” Silver said as she bumped her hip against him.

Paradox nodded. “You’re right as always.” He shook his head. “There is a reason why I keep you around.”

“I thought it was because of the sex.” Silver smiled.

“That my love; is known as a perk.” He gave her a smirk and winked at her.

Silver went to the oven as she shook her head she pulled the lasagna out and set it on top to cool off. “Get the girls; dinner is ready.”

He saluted her. “Yes, Lieutenant Silver Dash.”

“Mother was right…” She muttered.

“Oh?” He paused before going out the door.

“You’re a smart aleck.”

He laughed as he went to get the twins.

The train stopped in Ponyville. Paradox stepped out and he put his paw out for Silver. She put her hoof in his paw and he assisted her out of the train.

“Da! Ma!” The twins said in unison as they both flew into their parent’s arms.

“Oh! You two are flying now!” Silver said as she hugged Solana.

“My little girls are getting so big.” Paradox said as he nuzzled Selene.welcomeshome

Rainbow Dash flew over to them. “Did you two have a good vacation?” She then tilted her head. “Paradox? Your wing is broken?” She had noticed the bandages around his wing.

He smirked. “Yeah, well that is a long story. I’ll tell you later.”

“Did you teach the twins how to fly?” Silver asked.

Rainbow Dash started to laugh. “Oh no… I walked into their room and they were sitting up on the highest point in the room. I actually thought you had taught them to fly before you two left, to surprise me.”

Paradox laughed. “No… Opportunity lost.” He looked at Selene as she hugged him. “You and Solana teach yourselves to fly?”

Selene looked at her sister then looked back at him. “Yes.”

“No.” Solana said. “Granspa Dissy taught us.”

Silver gulped and looked at Paradox. He slowly closed his eyes and then let out a breath he was holding in. “I am guessing you didn’t know about this?” He asked Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow shook her head. “I didn’t know. Sorry Paradox. I wouldn’t have allowed it unless you said it was okay.”

“It’s ok Mom.” Silver stated as she smiled. She took Selene from Paradox and held both twins.

“Yeah, it’s not your fault.” He stated as he tried to control the anger that was welling up inside of him. He sighed and looked at the twins. “I am so proud of you two. You fly really good too!”

The twins both smiled suddenly. “Thank you!” They both said and both flew at Paradox, tackle hugging him.

Paradox fell backwards with both girls in his arms. “Oh no! Attack of the cute girls!” They both hugged him as he flinched slightly from landing on his injured wing. “I love my girls…” He said softly. “Thanks for watching them Rainbow.”

“Hey it was my pleasure… They are my granddaughters… I got to spoil them.” She smiled.

“You should start teaching them chaotic magic now.” Discord said.

“No.” Paradox frowned at his father. “Chaotic magic is the reason why no pony remembers Lilly!”

Discord stared at Paradox for a long moment and then let out a deep sigh. “I remind your mother everyday… She forgets every day.”

“Because of that spell.” Paradox growled. “You know you can give her the memory back, but you won’t… why?”

Discord crossed his arms and turned away from his son. “I… don’t want her to be mad at me.”

“What happened? I need to know; all I remember is that I am so mad at you! I am so… angry with you… I want to… just… ARGH!” Paradox punched the wall nearby making a hole in it.

Discord turned and looked at the damage. “Dox, you shouldn’t punch walls.” He said as he used magic to repair it.

“I don’t care.” He replied as he rubbed his paw. “Until you give us our memories back… I don’t want you to tell me how I should raise my daughters. They don’t need to learn chaotic magic. Silver and I can teach them the basics.”

“They have great potential Dox, don’t let that go to waste. I can see them ruling Equestria one day.”

Paradox gave his father a venomous stare. “They are not you. I don’t know how Mom puts up with you.”

Discord grinned and went to give his son a reason why.

“I don’t really want to know!” Paradox growled and placed his paws on his ears.

Paradox gave his father a look that made him grit his teeth. “Dox. I’m serious about teaching your girls chaotic magic.”

“Then get Lilly to teach them, oh yeah! You can’t because you won’t tell me where you banished her!”

Discord sighed. “I don’t know where… I can’t remember, the same spell was put on me.”

“That is a bunch of…”

“Doxy?” Fluttershy interrupted Paradox as she walked in the room. “Why are you yelling?”

“No reason mom. Sorry. I’ll go. Love you, mom.” He marched from the room his feathers were ruffled up.

Fluttershy watched her son leave and suddenly frowned at her husband. “What did you do wrong? You and Doxy have been arguing for months now. Why?”

Discord looked away from Fluttershy, “No reason.” He lied.no_reasonShe frowned more. “Discord…”

“Dear sweet Fluttershy, you know that I love you very much…” He turned around and looked at her with a large grin.

“Uh huh… yes.” She whispered as she looked at him warily. “What does this have to do with Dox being angry with you?”

Discord slowly curled up around her. “We’re not arguing we’re just having a heated discussion; a debate really, about guy things.”

She looked at him. “I think you’re lying to me. Discord, please tell me… What is going on?”

He let out a huge sigh as he looked into her clear aqua eyes. “I’ll tell you, but after today is over you’d forget again.”

“I doubt that.” She said.

He nodded as he started to tell her why Paradox was mad at him. He then sighed as his wife started to cry and became angry at him as well. “Tomorrow you’ll forget about this conversation… that is my only saving grace…” He muttered.

The playground was fairly crowded and Zero was sitting on the bench watching as his daughter Rune Eclipse played in a sandbox. He watched as she blinked her golden eyes at another filly walking by her; she didn’t smile or make a sound she just watched the filly walk by. Zero suddenly blinked when he saw Paradox step up beside him. “Hello Dox. What brings you here? Don’t you have acting to do?”

Paradox walked over and sat next to his brother in law. “What is new Zero?”

Zero looked down at the ground after glancing at his daughter to be sure she was safe. “Nothing is new, except that Discord has started to teach Rune magic.”sadzero

“What?” Paradox gasped. “Why are you letting him do that?”

Zero shook his head as he shrugged. “I cannot teach her magic. Lilly isn’t here to… teach her either.” He swallowed. “I must have… made her leave… I did something wrong. I ran her away.” He suddenly looked up at his brother-in-law. “You know where she is! I think you should tell me. I need her back Dox.”

Paradox stood up. “I don’t… Zero, I don’t know where Lilly is, I think dad knows but he won’t talk to me. Every time I even try to ask about her… I feel so angry at him.” He looked over at the sand box and saw Rune pick up a bucket of sand and pour it in a small tin plate. The plate tin started to glow red as it hovered and poured back into the bucket. She suddenly looked over at them, she smiled and stood up quickly as she suddenly beat her wings and flew over to them.

“Uncle Doxy!” Rune squealed as she flew over and landed clumsily in her uncle’s arms. “Doxy. Dox! Doxy!”

“Rune.” Paradox said as he hugged his niece. “You’re flying better.”littlerune

“Tank you. Da helps me. Grandspa is teaching me magics! He’s teachin’ Snafie too.” She talked quickly as her little wings flapped. “Will you teach me how to paints one day?”

“I will, after I teach Solana and Selene. You’ve gotten big, reminds me of your mom a lot. Beautiful, smart, that thick black and dark blue mane.” He pet down her mane softly and then put her down on the bench next to Zero. He got on his knees and looked at Zero and Rune. “I’ll do what I can to find out what happened to Lilly.”

Rune tilted her head slightly. “I will find out Uncle Doxy. Da and I miss mama. She was beautiful and had stars in her mane.”

Zero looked at Rune. “Rune Bug? You remember her?”

“Yes Da. Mama is beautiful. At night… Princess Luna tells me about her as I sleep.” Rune leaned against Zero. “She says I have ta remembers my Mama, because I can bring her backs one day… maybe.”

Paradox pet her mane. “It’s good to dream little one. Thanks for being on my side.”

“I love you Uncle Doxy.” Rune beamed as she flapped her wings again. “When can I play with Selene and Solana? I think we’d have fun playing. I wanna show them how I make stars shine in the sand.”

“You make stars shine in sand?” Paradox asked.

She nodded. “Yes, watch.” She frowned as the slightly crooked horn on her forehead started to glow red. The bucket of sand floated from the sand box and floated over to them, Rune put her hooves up and held the bucket and looked in it. “See.” Her horn glowed again and the sand turned black and little lights started to emerge from the sand. Both Paradox and Zero gasped at the sight. The lights twinkled and shone briefly then faded as quickly as they appeared. Rune suddenly yawned. “Sorry… that make me sleepy.” She wrinkled her nose and yawned again. “Da… I need to go home.”

Zero nodded as he picked her up and started to flap his wings. “Ok Rune, you need your nap.” He looked at Paradox. “Take care Dox, if I learn anything new… I’ll let you know. Rune likes to make up stories about Lilly, sometimes I wish they were true stories.”

Paradox stood up. “I wouldn’t make light of her dreams Zero… You know as well as I do that dreams can change instantly.” He looked at Rune. “Take care Rune. I love you always.”

“I love you Uncle Doxy and Auntie Silvie too.” Rune said as she yawned and nuzzled against Zero’s chest.

Silver, Paradox and the twins were sitting at the restaurant waiting. They smiled when Fluttershy walked in with Rainbow Dash.

“Oh my goodness.” Fluttershy gasped when she saw the girls in their dresses.

“Kind of girly aren’t they?” Rainbow Dash asked with an adoring smile in her face. “Who am I kidding? They look so adorable.”

Both grandmothers fawned over the twins. Paradox and Silver smiled at one another. “So, how’s everything going?” Paradox asked.

Fluttershy looked up. “Everything is fine.” She had Solana in her arms as she flew over and sat down next to him.

“Yeah. We fought off a monster the other day.” Rainbow Dash replied as she carried Selene over.

“You did mostly.” Fluttershy whispered. “Maybe we shouldn’t talk about violence around the girls?” Solana was snuggling up against Fluttershy’s chest.

“Fluttershy, you worry too much. These girls will get to experience a lot. Look they even have claws to protect themselves.” Rainbow said as Selene pet her grandmother’s rainbow colored mane with her paw.

Silver looked around. “Where’s Snafu?”

“Discord has him today.” Fluttershy answered. “He thinks Doxy is still mad at him.”

Paradox frowned and looked away. “Yeah… I am, and I think I know why, but I also don’t know.”

Silver bit her bottom lip and let out a sigh. “I thought I knew but it fled from my memory.”

“Whatever it is, can’t be that important.” Rainbow Dash smiled as she gave Selene a kiss. “Isn’t that right? Oh no! I’m gonna kiss your nose.”

Selene squealed and giggled as Rainbow Dash kissed her nose she looked over at Silver. “Mama. Mama!”

“Selene it’s alright let your grandmother hold you.” Silver smiled.

“Can you really trust dad with Snafu? He’s a little immature and Snafu is so young too.” Paradox muttered.

Silver snickered. “Doxy…”

Fluttershy looked at her son in shock. “Dox, your father took you out all the time. Why are you acting like this?”

Paradox frowned. “Okay mom, I’m going to ask you something…”

Fluttershy nodded as she sighed. “Alright, ask.”

“Who is Rune Eclipse?”

Fluttershy smiled. “My granddaughter.”

Paradox nodded. “Who is her father?”

“That is easy. It’s Zero. My son in law.”

He nodded at his mother. “Who is Rune’s mother?”

Fluttershy blinked several times. “I… um I know this. It’s right on the tip of my tongue.” She flapped her wings in frustration. She looked over at Rainbow Dash she just shrugged.

Paradox growled and put his arms up. “That is the reason why I’m mad at dad. He altered our memories. Only Zero knows that his wife is missing. Mom doesn’t even believe she’s real.”

Fluttershy squeaked. “Rune is my foal?” She then shook her head. “No… She’s Scarlet Grace’s.”

“No mom. Remember I’m a twin.”

Fluttershy’s eyes filled up suddenly with tears. “Doxy. You know your twin is dead. Why do you keep insisting she’s alive?”

Paradox blinked and placed his paw on his chest. “I feel it in here. Mom now that we are talking about it. I am remembering a little. She was pushed into something. What was her name mom? What was it? I know it. I need to know if you remember it too.”

“Dox, please. I’m not really in the mood to play these games. I want to spend time with these little jewels.” She whispered as she nuzzled Solana.

Solana gently placed her paws on Fluttershy’s cheeks and looked at the tears that were falling from her grandmother’s eyes. “Grrma. No…” She purred out softly. She looked over at her father. “Daa. No…”

Paradox sighed. “Fine.” He put his paw up to his face and walked away from them for a moment.

Silver felt a bit out of place suddenly as she sat next to her mom. “Hey mom, do you remember?”

Rainbow Dash nodded. “Of course. Paradox’s sister was named LillyRose. You and her were friends long before you and Paradox got along. I vaguely remember a fight where I believe that LillyRose got killed or something and Discord erased Fluttershy’s memory to keep her from becoming an emotional wreck.” She then blinked. “I can hardly remember that fight though. I know that Dox had been angry with his father ever since.”

Silver blinked. “I think someone else erased all of our memories. I can hardly remember it myself.”

“Doxy come back and relax.” Fluttershy called her son back. “Please?”

Paradox walked back, his eyes were red with tears. “She’s still alive mom. I know it… I do.”

Silver smiled. “We’ll figure it out later. Let’s eat and talk about something different.” She started to set up the high chairs. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash placed the foals in the chairs.

Paradox sat down and crossed his arms as he looked away from his mom. “Yeah, we’ll talk about something else.” A tear ran down his cheek as he let in a deep breath.

Paradox looked out the window and gave a deep sigh. Silver looked up from where she was teaching the girls how read basic words. “What is wrong Doxy?”

He glanced at her. “I think I’m going to have to try out for the new Broadneigh play, ‘The Postpony Always Rings Twice’.”

She blinked. “Are you sure? What is the story about?”

“The plot is about a pony falling in love with another, but she’s already married and kills off her husband and make it look like an accident. I’m going to try out for the role of the husband. I’ve practiced many death scenarios.”

“Oh? You don’t want to be the one that kills the husband?” She held up a card that said bird on it to Solana.

Solana blinked. “bir!”

He smiled at Solana as he answered Silver. “I’m not into the roles where I have to be the bad guy.” He grinned as he went and sat next to Silver to grab another card to hold up for Selene.

“Oh, you don’t want your father’s reputation?” Silver asked. He held up a card but didn’t see what it was. “Dad can be an evil tyrant if he wanted to be. He’s got it in him. I don’t believe I can do that. After that incident; I really don’t want to talk about dad…”eviltyrant1“Dra-gon!” Selene squeaked.

“Unca Spike!” Solana squeaked as she started to giggle.

Both Silver and Paradox looked at the girls and then looked at the card Paradox was holding. It was a picture of Spike. “How’d that get in there?” Silver asked.

He shook his head. “I have no idea. That reminds me. I have to ask Rarity to design some dresses for the girls. Mom wants to have lunch with us soon and I want the girls to look good.”

“We’ll go tomorrow morning. I have to go to the market.” Silver held another card up of a cat.

“Mew!” Selene said.

“Mew!” Solana giggled. Then they both started meowing and making cat noises. Solana pounced on Selene as they purred and mewed at one another.mewmewcolored
“Now they’re totally distracted.” Silver sighed as she put the cards up. “I think they believe you’re an excuse to start playing.”

He chuckled. “No, they just get bored.” He put his arm around Silver and hugged her. “I love you.”

She smiled at him. “Oh, I love you too Doxy.”

Couple months later.

The crowd of ponies made him nervous. Paradox stood to the side and watched as the procession went by. His wife Silver was standing next to him and he had their children in a couple baby slings. As the ponies started to disperse a stallion walked over to Silver and started to talk to her.

“Hey young mare, what brings you to Canterlot?” the stallion asked as he blatantly was hitting on her.

Paradox grabbed Silver and started to growl possessively. “She’s here with her husband and daughters.”mywife

The stallion looked at Paradox in surprise. “Oh uhh. I… didn’t notice you um…” He ran off.

Silver looked at Paradox. “I could have told him…”

He let her go. “Sorry Silver. I just get nervous when I feel threatened. You’re so beautiful and I’m… me.”

“Doxy, you know I love you. No other stallion would turn my head.” She looked at him as she faced him. “Ever since I was a little filly. I had been infatuated with you.”

“Silver… I feel as if I did wrong by ignoring you those many years ago.” He whispered.

Silver leaned against him. “Water under the bridge. Come on, we’re invited to the palace. We need to get there soon. They’ll be having dinner in a couple hours.” She spread her wings out and he did the same holding the twins against his chest tightly. They both took off flying towards the palace.

A guard saluted Silver. “Lieutenant Silver, Ma’am; Princess Celestia has assigned a nanny for the evening.”

Silver looked shocked. “A nanny? Why?”

“The dinner party is going to run late, and Princess Celestia doesn’t want the twins to be up too late at night.” The guard answered.

“Selene is a night owl.” Paradox said as he looked at the twins in the ornate crib, they were sleeping soundly. “I guess they’ll be okay for one night as long as the nanny is reliable.”

“Alright, but I want to know if anything happens. Anything.” Silver said to the guard.

The guard saluted again. “Yes ma’am. I’ll send the nanny over.”

“The suspense is killing me.” Rainbow Dash got up and walked over to the waiting room entrance and jumped back when the door opened and Paradox came out.

Paradox looked at his mother-in-law. “Hey RD.”

“Well? I want to see my daughter and my grandchild!” Rainbow Dash demanded and poked Paradox in the chest.

“Alright.” He smiled as he opened the door for Silver. “Dear, the natives are restless.”

Silver walked out and smiled. “Hey Mom. What’s… eep!” Rainbow Dash hugged her daughter tightly. Silver hugged her mother for a long moment. “I’m alright mom.”

Rainbow let her go and looked at her. “Looks like you lost some weight. Remember after having a foal, you have to get back into shape. So where is my grandchild?”

Paradox already went to the observation room. “In here. The nurse should be ready.”

Discord walked past him and ruffled Paradox’s mane. “Proud of you.”

Every pony went into the room where the window was to the nursery. There were several bassinets in the nursery with several foals. Rainbow Dash flew from one side of the window to the other looking into bassinets hoping that one of them was her grandchild. “That one looks strong. Oh maybe that one there?”

Discord’s eye twitched as Rainbow Dash kept flying past him.

Fluttershy looked in the window and saw two bassinets next to one another with twins. “Oh… Oh my…”

Paradox walked in. “Did you guess which foal is ours?” He asked.

Fluttershy spoke up quietly. “Um… I think I know…”

“Ya’ll have ta’ tell us Paradox.” Big Mac said. “An’ do it quickly before Dash has an anxiety attack.”

“Or I make her wings disappear.” Discord grumbled.

Rainbow Dash looked around. “Where’s Silver?”

Paradox pointed into the nursery. “She went back in to stand near the baby.”

They all looked and saw Silver walk into the nursery. She waved and smiled at them as she walked toward the front of the nursery. She walked forward and turned around in between the two bassinets with the twins. She then looked up at them and looked down at the twin foals.

Rainbow Dash blinked and let out a sudden squeak. “Twins! That is totally awesome!”

Fluttershy blushed. “I knew it…” She sniffled as she started to tear up. “Twins.”

Discord went over to Fluttershy and rubbed her shoulders. “You guessed or did Scarlet tell you this?”

She shook her head. “No… The twins have Doxy’s eyes. Look at them.”

Discord looked and smiled. “You’re right.” He laughed. “They better give them back.”

Paradox leaned on the glass as he looked at Silver and the foals. Slowly he signed, ‘I love you’ to Silver. He then signed, ‘you’re beautiful’ to her and Silver suddenly blushed.

Apple Jack watched him do the sign language and wondered what he was doing. “What is going on?”

Paradox’s ears went up. “What? Oh um… I’m talking to Silver.”

“How do ya do that?” AJ asked.

“Well, I use my paws.” He moved his fingers. “I just told her that I loved her and I think she is beautiful.”

Discord chuckled as he approached and signed something to his son.

“Dad! Silver knows what you just signed!” Paradox blushed and looked over to Silver and she was looking at Discord with her eyes wide.

“Sorry Dox.” Discord glanced at Silver. “Nope, not sorry.” He grinned then signed something at Silver and her eyes widened more as she suddenly shook her head fast.

“Dad! Stop it.” Paradox said and pushed his father out of the observation room.

“What are their names?” Rainbow Dash asked.

Paradox was happy to answer. “Selene and Solana.”

“Oh my goodness, those are beautiful names.” Fluttershy sighed. “I cannot wait to hold them.”

“I can’t wait till I can spoil them!” RD laughed.

“Did you hear anything new?” Fluttershy asked Discord. He had walked back from talking to one of the nurses and sat next to her in the waiting room.

“Nothing yet Fluttershy.” He said and looked at Rainbow Dash who was nibbling on her hooves nervously. “Are you surviving over there RD?”

Rainbow Dash looked at him and nodded quickly then shook her head. She took the cup of water that was offered her from Apple Jack. “Yeah… Yeah… I guess… Why hasn’t Paradox come out to talk to us yet?”

Discord shrugged. “I don’t know.”

“It’ll be alright Sugar cube.” Apple Jack said to RD. “No news is good news, right?”

“I guess so…” Rainbow nodded and looked over at Big Mac who was making faces at Snafu in the stroller next to Fluttershy. “Thanks for telling me AJ.”

The door to the waiting room opened and Paradox walked out, his wings were still dragging behind him and he looked worn out. “Hey…” He waved as he settled down on the closest chair nearby. They all stared at him as he sat there.tireddox

“WELL?” Rainbow Dash said a little too loudly causing several of the nurses to look at her sternly.

Paradox looked up at them his eyes were sunken in and he let out a deep breath. “Sorry… I’m just really tired from flying…” He stood up slowly and stretched. “I have some news.”

Every pony looked at him anxiously.

“Silver is doing really well. Doctor Epona told me that it’ll be about an hour and I should tell you.” He saw the looks of relief go over their faces. He then looked at his father. “Dad… how can you deal with this stress?”

“This is only the beginning…” Discord chuckled.

A nurse walked into the room. “Is there a Paradox out here?”

Discord started to snicker and Paradox stood up as he gave his father a frown. “Dad, really? Must you make fun of my name now?”

“One must take the opportunity when the time comes.”

“I’m here.” Paradox said to the nurse.

“Your wife is asking for you.”

“Okay.” He looked nervously at every pony and followed the nurse back in. “Hopefully next time you see me it’ll be with the foal and Silver.”

Paradox walked into the kitchen and sat down silently followed by Fluttershy and Discord. Discord rubbed his paw and claw together happily when Silver placed a plate of crepes in front of him. She placed a plate in front of Fluttershy and then Paradox. “Eat up!” She said cheerfully as she flapped her wings as she sat down and pulled a plate of crepes to her.

She watched as Discord was eating the crepes with gusto. “Silver, these are really good.” He said with his mouth full.

Fluttershy daintily cut the crepes and ate little bites. She smiled at her daughter-in-law. “They have so much flavor… very juicy too.”

Paradox looked at his crepes, it was his favorite and he didn’t have an appetite, although they looked really delicious. He looked up at his wife and she was smiling.

“It’s your favorite.” She said to Paradox and her smile faltered a little when she saw his look. “Is… there something wrong Doxy?”

“Nothing is wrong.” He muttered as he made himself eat the crepes.

“Are you sure?” She asked. “You look… upset.”

“I’m alright. They taste good Silver. I always love your cooking.” He smiled weakly.

“Ok.” She said as she ate hers.

They ate in silence for a moment until Snafu started to get fussy in the baby sling. Fluttershy smiled. “It’s okay Snafu, I know it’s time for your nap.” She got up from the table. “Thank you for breakfast Silver. It was really delicious.”

“It was fun to make breakfast for you!” Silver smiled as she placed her fork down and started to take the empty plates from the table. Discord had summoned a newspaper from thin air and he was reading it upside down as he sat back. Paradox just sat forward and was poking half of an uneaten crepe with his fork. She placed her hoof on his plate. “Are you done Doxy?”

“Silver, you’re pregnant.” He said as he put his paw on her hoof.

Several things happened all at once. Plates fell onto the floor from Silver’s hoof. Discord dropped the paper and placed his paw on his forehead in exasperation and Fluttershy squeaked at the plates falling on the floor and Snafu started to cry loudly at the noise of plates shattering. In that few seconds’ total chaos reigned in the kitchen. Discord smiled slightly under the exasperation and shook his head as the noise settled. “Total chaos… I applaud you on your timing Paradox.” He clapped.

“Sorry…” Silver whispered as she started to pick up the plates that she dropped. Her thoughts were spinning, she didn’t hear Dox right… did she? “I’ll clean this up… I’m sorry, I’m so clumsy.”

Paradox got up quickly and started to help Silver pick up the dishes. “It’s alright, Silver. I’ll clean this up.” He used his magic and cleaned the dishes off the floor making the larger shards float into a trash can. “I didn’t mean to startle you.” He whispered to her.

She sat back and looked at him as he picked little pieces of plate off the floor with his claws. “Doxy, what did you say? I think I heard you wrong.” She asked.

Discord looked under the table at them. “Paradox is suffering from hoof in mouth disease.”

Paradox pushed his father’s muzzle back. “Dad… Let me talk to her.”

Fluttershy grabbed Discord’s shoulder while she tried to sooth Snafu. “Come on.” She said to him. They left the kitchen leaving Silver and Paradox sitting on the floor looking at one another.

“Please, what did you say?” Silver repeated her question.

Paradox gave a small smile. “Well, remember when I said that I felt something odd and I had to ask Dad what it might have been?”

“Yes?” Silver nodded.

“I asked him…” He inched closer to her and reached over to her. “Come here.”

She moved closer to him and was surprised when he placed his paw on her stomach. “Doxy?”

He looked into her eyes as he slowly caressed her belly fur. She sighed softly at his touch and leaned closer to him, he gave her a soft kiss on her lips as they pulled apart he swallowed. “I love you, and while our cottage is being fixed, we’ll need a nursery built in… because you’re pregnant with our foal.”

She blinked at him. “How do you know this?”

“I’m a draconequus.” He smiled. “I hope you don’t care… I’m scared, but we’re going to be… parents.”sohappy

She started to cry; her tears were slowly running down her cheeks as she looked at him. “This makes me happy. Doxy… I am so happy that you and I are going to be parents!” She hugged him tightly and he started to laugh at how happy she was as he returned her hug tightly.
