Paradox’s Despair (Part 1)
By: Colleen Phillips
Started writing on January 11, 2015
Paradox looked at the pony that tore his heart out and stomped on it. She was a mare with a gray coat and a dark brown mane he had given her gifts of gems and jewelry. Today though… when he had asked her to be with him; she had laughed in his face. “I could never be with you… look at yourself… You’re nothing but a monster.” She had said with venomous intent and she turned away from him.
It was this instant that made his heart fall; his body seemed to suddenly be drained. His slow descent into despair began, and he walked home to the cottage opened the door, didn’t hear his mother greet him as he stumbled up the stairs to his room.
Lilly suddenly was hit by a wave of hate and nausea as she looked around curiously. It was as if her soul was clenched in a heavy vice and was being squeezed. “Paradox.” She whispered.
“What did you say?” Lilly’s friends asked her when they noticed that she looked worried. Her friends were Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Silver Dash, Sprinkle Icing and Crispin.
“I think my brother needs me.” Lilly answered them as she apologized. “Sorry. I’ll talk to you later.”
They waved to her as she rushed home.
Silver Dash looked a little worried. “I wonder what happened.”
Scootaloo shook her head. “Who knows, it’s Paradox.”
“Didn’t you go out with him?” Sprinkle asked; she was a light pink earth pony with a fluffy light blue mane.
“Yeah, he was fun, we had a lot of fun, but I guess it was just puppy love, we drifted apart.” Scootaloo sighed as if she had a little bit of regret.
“I’ll check on him. Is Dad home yet?” She hugged Fluttershy.
“Not yet. He should be soon.” Fluttershy whispered.
Lilly went upstairs and stopped when she saw Grace standing next to the door. “Grace, tell me…”
Grace was only a couple years younger than Dox and Lilly, and they were now in their late teens. Grace was only deaf in one ear and had very limited sight in her eye but she had unusual visions. “He is devastated, hurt, and crushed. Lilly, you can save him, but not today.” Grace whispered in a faraway voice and then shook her head. “He is calling himself a monster.” She said in her own voice.
Lilly hugged her sister, “Thank you. I’ll try and talk to him.”
Lilly tried the handle to the room, it was locked. She teleported in with her magic and she gasped when she saw that all the art work he had done was on the floor torn up and crumpled. She stepped towards him and she heard him sobbing into his pillow. “Dox?” she asked while she approached.
He stopped sobbing briefly as he looked up from his pillow to see his sister looking at him. “Lilly.” He slowly sat up and put his paws to his face. “I locked the door… you shouldn’t be in here…”
“You know you cannot hide anything from me.” Lilly was feeling anger well up inside of her and she didn’t know why. “Stop it Dox.”
“I’m sorry Lilly, I cannot help it.” He cried again. “Just leave me alone, it hurts so bad, I feel myself dying.”
“I’ll get father. He will know what to do.” Lilly said as she walked to the door unlocking it. “Don’t lock the door.”
Paradox growled as he pulled his pillow to him and started to tear into it with his claws ripping it until the feathers started to spill forth. “She was right… I’m a monster…”
Lilly put her hooves around her head; she let out a growl as she sat at the kitchen table. Fluttershy sat across from her she was worried about both her son and daughter. Discord appeared in the kitchen. “What! What happened?” He looked at Lilly who was clutching her head as if she was going explode. He went over to her and looked into her eyes. “LillyRose? Double flower. What is wrong?”
Lilly looked at him and flinched at the pain inside her head. “Dad, it’s not me… It’s Paradox, he’s…” She gasped out as she put her hooves over her ears. “He’s going to hurt himself.”
Discord stood up quickly and disappeared. He reappeared in the hallway upstairs and he opened the door to Paradox’s bedroom. He saw his son on the floor feathers all over the place along with paintings and artwork torn up from Paradox’s own claws. Paradox was clawing at his arms leaving long scratches through his fur and bleeding. “No!” Discord grabbed Paradox, holding his paws back. “Stop that! STOP! Don’t hurt yourself… Don’t… I won’t… let you.” He used his magic and wrapped Paradox’s arms in the bedding that was torn up. He looked into Paradox’s eyes making him look at him. “Why are you doing this?”
Paradox looked at his father as if he didn’t recognize him; his blue eyes lost their shine. Discord swallowed hard seeing that his son had changed so suddenly in just a few hours. Paradox blinked slowly. “Why… did you stop me? Why? I… Am not supposed to be here… I am not supposed to be… I am a monster.” He grabbed the wrappings on his arms. “I’ve got to destroy the monster.”
“No!” Discord pulled his son to him. “Don’t hurt yourself. Don’t…”
“Dad…” Paradox said softly.
“I’m here Dox. You’re not bad, don’t hurt yourself. Promise not to hurt yourself.” Discord said to him. “You hurt yourself you hurt your mother, you hurt your sisters, and you hurt me.”
“I won’t hurt myself Dad. I… don’t feel good. I feel… horrible.” He looked down at the torn sheets around his arms and there was some blood showing through. “I think I am bleeding.”
“I know.” Discord swallowed as he pulled Paradox close. “We’ll go to the doctors, get you healed.”
“Nothing will heal me.” Paradox muttered as he felt emptiness inside. “There is no cure for a monster.”
“Who called you a monster?” Discord asked.
Paradox shook his head. “Does it matter? No… I have seen the monster and it is me. I am nothing but a monster. I will always be one… Not deserving of… anyone or anything.” He looked at his paws and they shook as he retracted his claws. “My fingers are red.”
Discord put his paw on Paradox’s paws. “Don’t look at them and don’t say that about yourself. We love you, your family loves you. Remember that. I’m taking you to see the doctor.” He snapped his fingers and they both disappeared and the feathers and papers on the floor flew about in the aftermath. Scarlet Grace had watched the exchange quietly.
Lilly felt her soul was ripped up and she laid her head on the table as she looked at her mother. Fluttershy was crying as she looked at her daughter and felt at a loss at what she could do to make her feel better.
Scarlet Grace walked into the room. “Dad and Doxy are gone.” She went over to Lilly, “Are you feeling any better?”
Lilly looked at her sister as she moved her hooves on the table. “No… I don’t feel well. I just don’t know… what it is.”
“So, what do we do?” Fluttershy said as she touched Lilly’s hoof with her own. “Where did they go?”
Grace looked at her mother. “Dad took him to the doctor.” She blinked. “They will be back soon. Don’t blame yourself Mom.”
“What?” Fluttershy said as she stood up to look at her daughter. “Grace, what are you saying?”
Grace shook her head. “I just told you that Dad took Dox to the doctor.”
“You said that I shouldn’t blame myself.”
“I did?” Grace looked confused.
Lilly sat up. “Mom, should we go to the doctors? I can take us there.”
Fluttershy was about to nod when Discord appeared in the room holding Paradox in his arms, Paradox had his arms wrapped in clean bandages and he looked small and miserable. “We’re back.” Discord commented softly as he placed Paradox on a chair.
Paradox slumped on the chair and looked across at Lilly. “I… didn’t mean to…”
Discord frowned when he heard his son mutter those words. “Paradox, you need to get rest.”
Fluttershy ran to Paradox. “Your arms, oh Doxy… what happened?” She looked at his eyes and they looked sad and his luster was gone. “Can I do anything for you?”
“Mom, I tried to get rid of it… but Dad told me to not do it, he told me not to hurt myself, but it’s there.”
“What? What’s there?” Fluttershy asked as she looked at him.
Paradox leaned to her. “You don’t see it?”
“No…” Fluttershy looked scared.
Lilly sat up. “Mom, don’t… it won’t help.” She said in a panic as she felt her stomach lurch.
“I tried to claw it out of me, the monster… I’m the monster and I tried to get rid of it… I didn’t mean to… I didn’t want to… Dad made me promise not to harm myself again.” He put his head down; his mane seemed to turn gray with his mood.
“I feel sick.” Lilly commented as she put her head down as well.
Discord put his paw on Fluttershy. “Paradox needs rest.” He then kneeled next to her and said in a whisper. “I don’t know what happened before, but he tried to do himself a lot of harm. We just have to keep watch over him.”
“Dox, Lilly… You both need rest.” Discord said out loud.
“I’ll be okay.” Lilly said as she sat up again and took in a deep breath. “I’m going to…” She turned pale, stood up and ran out of the kitchen.
Scarlet Grace put her paw and claw on her ears when she heard Lilly retching in the other room. “Ewww. Lilly puked.”
Few Months later
Paradox stayed in bed again and Lilly told her friends
that she wouldn’t be going out with them for a long while. She sat in the room with her brother she felt ill when she sat with him, each of his heart beats matched hers and she felt like she was in a tunnel flooded with darkness. Even when the outside was clear with birds singing; she felt despair and loneliness.
“Paradox… I want you to know that I will find you a cure. You’re not alone… You’re my brother.” Lilly muttered to him. “I don’t know why I have been feeling sick. Ever since you got ill, I have been sick.”
Paradox looked at her, his eyes were dark rimmed and unemotional. “Just let me get rid of the monster.”
“No. You promised Dad you wouldn’t.” Lilly whispered, “That is why we sit in the room with you. So you don’t hurt yourself.”
“I hurt myself by living another day.” He muttered as he rolled over to look at the wall.
Lilly got up and left the room. “Augh! You make me so frustrated.” She stopped suddenly in the hallway by Scarlet Grace.
Scarlet looked tired as she looked at Lilly; she blinked and her eyes turned blind. “You can’t leave yet Lilly. You are needed in Canterlot.” Grace then shook her head, her eyes turned normal and she frowned at her sister. “Lilly! Where are you going? Dad said not to leave Doxy by himself.”
“I’m not leaving him for long.” She walked behind Grace and pushed her into Paradox’s room. “See you are here. Watch him for your big sister.”
“But… It’s not my turn!” She looked at Paradox lying on his side facing the wall. “Not that I don’t mind sitting and watching my sweet kind older brother.” She muttered as she sat down.
Lilly went down the stairs quickly as she felt a chill down her back. What did Scarlet mean by saying she was needed in Canterlot. Maybe her father would know, she stumbled off the last step of the stairs and fell on her face. “Ouch.”
Discord looked up from the book he was reading to see Lilly on the floor getting up slowly. “It’s easier to walk when you look at where you are going.” He said as he put the book up to read some more.
“Dad…” Lilly said as she jumped up and ran at him in a full gallop only to plow into him making him drop the book and fall backwards out of the chair he was sitting in. “Dad, Scarlet spoke to me.” Lilly panted after she got up.
Discord frowned as he got up too. “No, Scarlet never talks unless it is something very important.” He picked up the book. “Are you sure it wasn’t her faraway voice?”
“I am sure. She told me that I shouldn’t leave and I am needed in Canterlot.” She shook her head as she put her hoof on her muzzle. “I hurt my muzzle.”
“Who’s watching Paradox?” Discord asked.
“Grace.” Lilly said quietly.
“Lilly, you need to take responsibility. Come on.” He went upstairs with Lilly when they got up to Paradox’s room Grace was staring at her brother but he had fallen asleep. “Hey little Grace, what is new?” Discord ruffled Scarlet Grace’s yellow mane.
“Hi Dad. I was just watching Dox for Lilly…” She stood up then stretched her back legs wiggling her dragon toes.
“Thank you for watching him for a few moments.” Lilly said as she sighed and walked past Grace.
Scarlet grabbed Lilly with her claw and then grabbed Discord with her paw, her eyes turned blind again. “You’re needed in Canterlot. The Princess of the Moon needs you, it’s important.” She then shook her head again as she let go of her father and sister. “Dad, I have a headache, can I go to bed?”
Discord stared at Grace and then looked at Lilly. “That was Scarlet.”
“I told you Dad.” Lilly said.
“What are you talking about?” Grace asked as she looked at them. “Oh my head is really hurting.”
“Go lie down Grace.” Discord smiled at his daughter. “I’ll get you something for your headache.”
Grace walked to her bedroom slowly and closed the door behind her.
“Dad, what does it mean?” Lilly asked. “You said that Scarlet only talks when it’s important she talked to both of us.”
Discord still looked shocked. “I… think we need to go to Canterlot.”
Lilly was suddenly flustered, “B… but Dad… I don’t know why me, why do I need to go? I’m scared… Why me?”
He shook his head. “I don’t know Lilly. We have to tell your mother. Stay here with your brother.”
Lilly sat down as she looked at Paradox sleeping. “What is going on?” She asked as she looked at her brother.
Discord reappeared next to Lilly and she jumped slightly. “Alright Lilly, your mom will be up here in a moment. Then we leave immediately.”
“We’re leaving? But… I never been to Canterlot. I… What about?” Lilly started to stutter as tears started to form in her eyes.
Discord smiled down at Lilly, “You’re just like your mom.”
Fluttershy trotted into the room. “Sorry it took me so long… Are you sure you have to go? Grace and I will have to keep an eye on Dox alone.”
“I’m sure Fluttershy my love. Scarlet only talks when it’s important.” Discord kissed her. “Lilly and I will be back as soon as we could.”
“Mom. I love you.” Lilly said nervously as Discord placed his claw on her shoulder and they disappeared.
Discord and Lilly both appeared in a long hall with large stained glass windows stretching from one end to another. The place was huge and Lilly’s eyes widened in surprise at seeing the colorful windows that showed her mother in a lot of them. “Dad… it’s beautiful in here.”
Discord nodded as he frowned looking around the hallway. “Yeah, you seen one… you seen them all. This is very odd… where are the guards?”
“Dad?” Lilly said nervously as she looked at the other end of the hallway she felt the hair on the back of her neck stand on end as she stared at what she didn’t quite understand.
“What Lilly?” He said as he looked in the direction she was looking. “Oh… That is why there are no guards…” He reached for his daughter as long black wispy tendrils rushed down the hallway towards them. He snapped his fingers and they disappeared. They reappeared up in a tower.
“What was that!?” Lilly asked her father.
Discord frowned. “I don’t know Lilly, but I am going to find out. Stay here.”
“Dad… be careful!” Lilly said as she looked at Discord before he disappeared. “I don’t know what I would do without you.”
“I’ll be back my double flower. Don’t worry about me.” He disappeared with a snap.
Lilly looked down from the tower and saw the whole city of Canterlot. It seemed that the ponies below had no idea what was going on inside the castle. “I hope everything is ok…” She whispered to herself. A shadow suddenly appeared over her and she started to shake as she slowly turned around. The hair on her shoulders stood up like hackles… she backed away from the hideous shape that was forming from the walls of the castle itself. Slow wispy tendrils started to float around her hooves as she backed up to the balcony of the tower. “What are you?” She asked as she backed up until her rump hit the side of the balcony and she felt so much fear welling up inside of her that she couldn’t make her wings work.
The wisps of smoke seemed to hiss.
“I’ll have you know… I’m a strong draconequus. I can use my magic against you.” She swallowed hard and she finally was able to unfurl her wings as she jumped from the balcony. She floated down from the balcony then flapped her wings and went back to the shadow to look at it better but it was quickly receding, she touched her hoof onto the balcony though and it returned looming larger over her. She felt her heart clench up in fear as it coalesced and was forming shapes within it. Lilly stared fascinated and scared all at the same time she suddenly let out a strangled cry when she saw one of the shapes within was her father.
“Dad!” She yelled. “Dad!”
The wisps of smoke started to flow around her as she looked at her father within; her heart was feeling despair and sadness.
“Don’t let it fool ye Lilly; Daughter of Chaos. That is not your father in there.” A soft voice floated to Lilly’s ears.
Lilly’s hoof slipped from the rail of the balcony and she fell, her wings spread out and she glided down slowly. The shadow quickly dissipated. Lilly landed lightly on one of the streets of Canterlot. The ponies on the ground looked at her in surprise and a couple backed away unsure of her since she didn’t look like them with her horn, antler, long scaly tail and bat wings. She looked around breathing heavily not knowing what she should do.
“Ye need to get back to the tower.” The voice said to her.
“If I go back to the tower, it will get me.” Lilly looked around for the source of the voice. “Where is my dad?” She spread her wings as she pushed off the ground and took flight again. All the ponies watched her fly upwards and they started to whisper and talk nervously.
“Your father is safe, but he is weakened. Lilly ye must help me and your father; maybe all three of us can do this.”
“What? Do what? I don’t understand…” Lilly flew up towards the tower where she had confronted the shadow and landed again. The shadow wasn’t there but she was scared that it’d return. “How do I know if my dad is safe? You could be lying to me.”
The voice didn’t answer and Lilly had a feeling that it was lying to her. She swallowed hard not knowing what to do. She was still feeling sick from being around Paradox and she felt despair sitting inside of her like a cold stone. “My double flower. Please listen to Luna.” Discord sounded strained within her head.
“Dad?” Lilly’s ears perked up. “Where are you?”
“I’m okay, the shadow is a manifestation of your fears and doubts, try not to let it get a hold of you.” His voice was fading.
“Daddy…” Lilly cried out, but he didn’t answer her and she sat down. “What do I do?”
The other voice broke into her thoughts. “Lilly, ye have to go to the throne room; from there we can talk to ye better.”
Lilly put her head down, as she felt her tears fall down her muzzle. She felt scared and very alone, she knew her father needed her, but she felt that emptiness deep inside. “I don’t know where the throne room is.”
“Find the hallway of stained glass, at the far end is the throne room,” Luna said.
“That was the room where the shadows emerged from when Dad and I got here.”
“I know that Lilly and that is where ye have to go. It is where my sister is and where we must confront her.”
“I have to confront Princess Celestia?” Lilly said in a panic. “You didn’t say I had to go against her!”
She was met with no answer.
Lilly let in a deep breath. “I will go find the throne room, but wouldn’t it be much easier if I got Aunt Twilight to help me?”
“No, Twilight would be easily swayed to be on Celestia’s side. She will not see the fear and doubt within her, Twilight will end up being feasted upon and it will make defeating Celestia so much more difficult. Quickly Lilly the longer you take the stronger it becomes.”
Lilly stood up and took in a deep breath. She thought of all the magic that Discord taught her as she put her head down and started the focus her thoughts. She felt her fur burn from within and she shifted her hooves slightly. She closed her eyes slowly as she thought of a protection spell and cast it upon herself. “Okay, I will find the throne room. You better not be lying to me or intending to trap me.” She opened her eyes, they glowed red with an inner fire. She spread her wings as she flew down to the hall that she thought contained the stained glass.
She walked to the double doors and opened them, the hallway echoed emptily as she looked down it. It was the hallway to the entrance of the throne room. Lilly stepped into it and started to walk to the far end. The hallway started the stretch and Lilly walked faster, then she started to gallop as it stretched longer than before. Lilly flapped her wings and flew the rest of the distance until she came to the end of the hall and faced two large doors with carvings of the Sisters upon them. Lilly stood up straight and tall her coat was glowing red within and her eyes were burning like fire embers as she pushed the doors open.
Celestia was slumped on the throne her once beautiful glowing mane was lackluster. She looked like a discarded marionette on the throne; her head was tilted oddly and her eyes looked empty and soulless. Lilly felt like something was slowly creeping up behind her she turned quickly and saw nothing there. Lilly approached Celestia slowly, her hooves made a hollow noise inside the empty throne room. The Princess looked like an empty shell and it made Lilly feel really frightened because her eyes had no light within as if she was… dead.
“She isn’t dead.” Luna’s voice was louder in Lilly’s mind. Lilly almost jumped from her skin as she stared at Princess Celestia.
“I’m here… What do I do now?” Lilly whispered as she kept looking at Celestia. Something caught the corner of her eye and she looked away from Celestia to some curtains to the side. Lilly stepped away from Celestia over to the curtains that were moving slightly. She slowly put her hoof up moving the curtain away. She saw her father… Lilly backed up from the curtain quickly as she tripped over the carpet and she fell backwards. “No… No… You said that…” The image of her father was flashing in her head, bloody, broken.
“It’s playing with your mind Lilly; don’t believe what ye are seeing.” Luna stated.
“No… You said that he was safe…” Lilly started to shake her head as the images flashed in her head. “No… I want to go home… I don’t like this at all. That was my Dad! This is a nightmare… right?”
“I wished that it was a nightmare.” Luna whispered. “That is not your father. He is with me; I am looking at him right now.”
“I don’t… believe you.” Lilly said softly as she turned and looked up and saw that Celestia had moved.
Princess Celestia had a smile on her face as she stared at Lilly with her dead looking eyes. “Who are you, are you here to talk to me?” She asked.
“Princess Celestia.” Lilly said as she suddenly bowed to the Princess.
“Oh, you are a proper lady, bowing to her superior.” She ratcheted her head slightly as if she was being controlled by an outside source.
“I have come to help you.” Lilly said to her.
Celestia blinked. “Help me? Why? I don’t need any help. I am strong enough to not even need help from guards.” Her eyes started to glow purple and the shadow rose from her slowly looming tall, crawling up the wall behind the Princess and like a cancer spreading slowly across the floor. Lilly started to step away from the wispy tendrils as it tried to touch at her hooves. “You do seem strong though. Maybe…”
“What?” Lilly asked.
“Maybe I will just take you.” The shadow slowly surrounded Lilly and she looked around her as it slowly moved to engulf her.
“Lilly, we were prepared for this. Prepare for it. Your father and I; we are going to focus all our energy into your shield.” Luna said sharply.
“Double Flower. Let the shadow surround you, but don’t let it see your weakness.” Discord added.
Lilly felt her heart leap at hearing her father again but she held her ground as the shadow slowly started to crawl up around her hooves. She gulped suddenly when she felt her shield weaken around her and the shadow started to cover her neck and crawl up to her head. She started to panic as it got closer and closer to her face. “No!” Lilly screamed loudly. “I cannot…” She growled as she felt her shield break and the shadow engulfed her completely.
Celestia suddenly collapsed to the floor as all of the shadow left her body and started to possess Lilly.
The doors of the throne room opened and Luna walked in with Discord beside her. Discord ran over to Lilly and looked at his daughter, her whole body was engulfed in black but her eyes glowed red and she didn’t seem to recognize him. “Luna, you said that she wouldn’t become possessed.” He growled as he went to reach for her.
“Don’t touch her.” Luna stated as she looked at her sister. “Celestia is still possessed, but most of it is concentrated on Lilly.”
“I… don’t care.” Discord growled as he kept looking at his daughter.
Lilly slowly closed her eyes and growled deeply at the whispering in her ears. It felt like creatures were crawling and scratching in her head. Her brain hurt as she imagined grabbing one of those creatures and twisting its head off. Her eyes flashed as she felt something in her soul blazing brightly through the darkness.
The tendrils from the shadow started to slowly unravel from her muzzle and she took in a deep breath. “Dad…”
Discord blinked at his daughter. “Lilly, can you fight it?”
“I think I can.” She whispered. “It is trying to get into my fears, my doubts, but I locked them away. I cannot keep it up much longer. Gah! I feel something deep inside stirring; I don’t know… what it… ARGH!” She shook as she stood there as the shadow engulfed her muzzle again.
The whispering of the shadows increased. “It’sss hopeless issss it not? You can be better. You can be everything you ever wanted to be, they don’t really care about you.” The shadow was digging into her with these strange whispers and it kept getting louder. “You can be as great as your father, no… greater. He’sss not like he used to be. We can sshow you you’re potential for a larger ssscale of Chaos, give in, let usss take over. We can open up your true magic and you ssshall become the most powerful of all draconequussss. Don’t you ssee the potential? Let usss in. LillyRossse. LillyRosse.”
She shook and then fell down to her knees. “Ah! Stop the whispers!”
“Don’t you sssee that they usssed you? She only wanted to sssave her sssister; they ussed you that is why we are here inssside of you. You were betrayed by your father. They are laughing at you.” The shadow was working at her doubts. “Let usss in. Lilly. You are ssso much more… No….” The shadow suddenly stopped and seemed to retreat in her mind. “We can’t get it. Ssshe isss being protected by something elssse. She is only one ssside… only one ssside of two.”
Lilly suddenly stood up and mustering all her strength she let a red ember of powerful magic burst from her.
Luna’s eyes widened as she saw Lilly glow crimson making the shadow start to melt away. Discord watched as his daughter fought off the corruption and possession on her own; if he had known Luna was going to use her for this he would have taken Lilly home.
The shadow fled from Lilly quickly as if she was burning it; slowly it went to where it felt safe before Lilly.
Luna watched the shadow in horror as it started to possess her sister again. “No! Ye shall not have her back.” She lifted Celestia off the floor with her magic. She then created a shield around them both.
Lilly’s whole body radiated a dark red aura and her eyes glowed crimson light as sparks of red lightning ran along her horn and antler she flapped her wings as she rose above them. “I AM LADY CHAOS! NO ONE SHALL POSSESS MY MIND AND BODY!” Her voice boomed throughout the castle and out into the streets of Canterlot. “YOU ARE TO BE CLEANSED OF THIS CORRUPTION!” Lilly pointed a hoof at the unconscious Celestia. Red lightning sparked along Lilly’s mane as well as along her wings. Luna’s protection shield faltered at seeing the raw power in Lilly. As the shield fell, Lilly used her magic to wrap around Celestia’s body until it was encased in crimson tendrils.
“Not my sister! No!” Luna shouted and went to grab her but Discord held her back. “Unhand me.”
“You wanted Lilly to help you. Let her.” He whispered as he looked at his daughter proudly.
“You are to be sent away!” Lilly exclaimed as she swept her hoof slightly and Celestia was moved to the side. In a glowing magical cage was the shadow, quivering in a small ball. Lilly turned to Luna her eyes were still glowing. “Your sister is no longer possessed but she is… torn up inside. In the meantime, she needs to be taken some place safe and away from all outside influences until her body and mind are repaired.” She then turned to look at the shadow inside the crimson cage. “YOU ARE BANISHED!” The lightning moved along her body and shot out to the cage and without so much of a noise the cage vanished. Lilly suddenly collapsed on the floor of the throne room, her magic sparked as it slowly dissipated along her body.
Discord went to his daughter and kneeled next to her. “LillyRose, my double flower.”
She looked up at him. “Dad, you’re okay.”
“Yes, I am.” He whispered as he pulled her to him. “Are you alright?” He put his claw up and moved her mane from her face. She was drenched in sweat and she was breathing heavily.
“I don’t know.” She replied as she swallowed hard. “Did I do something bad? I’m sorry if I did.”
“Discord.” Luna said as she approached them. “How did your daughter defeat something we could not?”
Discord shrugged. “Maybe she’s not as weak minded as you and your sister.” He said bitterly since he was angry.
“Dad.” Lilly whispered. “Don’t make her mad.”
Luna seemed to ignore his comment. “What am I to do? I cannot run Equestria by myself, if Celestia needs to heal… I will need to tend to her as well as take care of the Kingdom.” Luna was shaking her head.
Lilly slowly stood up on unsteady legs. “Dad can do it.”
Discord blinked at his daughter. “What? Wait… Lilly… I am not sure about this.”
“You always wanted to. Now is your chance.” Lilly said to him. “Why would you refuse? You know how to raise the sun, you have the power.”
Luna looked at him hopefully. “We would be most grateful for any help. My sister is too weak and I cannot summon the sun.”
He looked at Luna then looked at Lilly. “What would your mother say?” He asked Lilly.
Lilly shrugged at him. “I don’t know Dad.
Luna watched them and nodded. “Ye need to decide soon, but we need to contact Twilight, she needs to know what has transpired here.”
Discord rubbed his muzzle. “Okay Luna, I will take over for Celestia until she returns.” Then he started to rub his paw and claw together as a grin sketched across his face. “Can I do whatever I want during the day though?”
“It is not my affair what happens during the daylight hours.” Luna stated. “Just as long as the sun rises and is taken away for my night.” She waved her hoof as she slowly lifted Celestia up with her magic. “I will return; I want to take Celestia somewhere safe.” Luna’s horn flashed and she disappeared with Celestia.
Discord started to chuckle deviously as he looked around the throne room, he rubbed his goatee slowly. He glanced at Lilly. “We’re going to have to move into the castle.”
Lilly nodded. “Yes, we’ll have to.” She watched as her father walked around the throne room, and blinked when he snapped his fingers. Celestia’s throne was instantly replaced with her father’s throne from his castle. Big tall throne with crooked horns sticking up from the top of it. “Really Dad?”
“Aww, Lilly. It’s my favorite throne.” He said as he went over to it and started to rub the arms. “Don’t worry; I won’t let her hurt your feelings.” He whispered to the throne as he sat down on it.
Lilly shook her head. “Dad… you’re acting strange… more than usual.”
“I have been granted the ability to rule Equestria how I wish.” Discord smiled as he leaned back on the throne. “Unless you want to…?”
“I’d rather you do it Dad.” Lilly replied. “Should I send a message to Twilight?”
Discord started to laugh lightly. “Oh yes… I cannot wait to see the look on her face.”
Spike belched up a scroll and made a face. “Ugh, this scroll tastes like coconut.” He looked at the scroll and it didn’t look like Celestia’s normal looking scroll. It had a different seal on it. “Twilight, a scroll from Celestia… I guess…”
Twilight looked at Spike. “You guess? What would make you guess?” She lifted the scroll up with her magic and looked at it. “That isn’t Celestia’s seal, whose seal is that?”
Spike shrugged. “What does it say?”
Twilight opened and read it. “Dear Twilight Sparkle, your presence is requested immediately in Canterlot. Signed Princess Luna.”
“Princess Luna?” Twilight asked. “Spike something isn’t right, I think I might have to teleport there.”
“Are you sure Twilight?” Spike asked nervously.
She nodded. “Yes I am sure. I’ll be back.” Her horn glowed and she disappeared.
Twilight appeared outside the throne room. Everything seemed normal guards were standing at their posts and they bowed when they saw her.
“Princess Twilight.” One guard bowed to her lower than the others. “You are expected.”
“Is everything okay?” Twilight asked.
“Oh yes, Princess.” The guard stated as he opened the throne room door. “Go right on in.”
Twilight trotted into the throne room confidently and stopped in mid stride when she saw Discord grinning at her from the throne. He waved at her, “Come on in Twilight, I am glad you are so punctual to summons.”
“What in Celestia’s name is going on?” Twilight demanded. “Are you the reason why Luna requested me? Where is Celestia?”
Discord started to chuckle at her look. “Oh this is too perfect; I want to cherish that look on your face forever.” He stared at her for a moment. “Yes, Luna requested you, but I sent you the message. Did Spike enjoy the flavor?”
“He doesn’t like coconut.” Twilight muttered.
“Oh, I’ll have to remember that.” Discord grinned.
“Are you going to explain to me what is going on?” Twilight growled. “What are you doing on the throne, where is Celestia? Why are the guards listening to you and working for you?”
“Dad, I think you had enough fun with aunt Twilight.” Lilly said as she walked from behind the curtain.
Twilight suddenly felt relieved when she saw Lilly. “Oh so this is just an elaborate joke, right? Celestia you are very funny, come out.”
Lilly shook her head. “No, it’s not a joke; Dad is the ruler of Equestria. Celestia isn’t here.”
Twilight blinked. “What, but… what did you do to Celestia?” She flapped her wings and confronted Discord.
He put his arms up. “I didn’t do anything; it was all Lilly’s idea. Luna agreed.”
She landed while she looked at Lilly; she didn’t understand why Discord had been appointed by Luna. “Lilly?”
“Come on Twilight, we have a lot to talk about.” Lilly said. “Talk to you later Dad.”
“Yeah, sure leave me alone to run a kingdom.” Discord muttered as he sat back on his throne. He then grinned as he summoned a throne right next to him; it was smaller but looked to accommodate a pony. “Yes, she would look beautiful right here beside me.”
Lilly walked with Twilight down the hallway. “Tell me what is going on?” Twilight demanded as her tail flicked in irritation.
“We need your help Twilight,” Lilly said as she sighed. “Celestia is gravely ill and Luna can only do so much, we need you to help Celestia get better. Her mind has been corrupted and is badly injured she needs constant attention something that none of us could do on our own.”
“How did it happen? You didn’t corrupt Celestia did you?” She asked.
Lilly sighed. “No and neither did Dad. It was a shadow; it took Celestia and then tried to take me. Apparently, something is deep inside of me that enables me see my way out of darkness. I don’t know what it is, but right now I am very weak. It’s by sure will power I am still standing.” She sighed again.
“You should rest then.” Twilight looked at her. “Does Fluttershy know that you and your father are here?”
Lilly nodded, “Yes, but she doesn’t know what had transpired here. I think Dad wants to tell her. Paradox is extremely ill, so she is taking care of him.”
“Oh! What is wrong with Paradox?” Twilight was looking more worried with all the bad news.
Lilly stopped and sighed. “I don’t know. Twilight can you help us? If you can, Luna will take you to see Celestia.”
Twilight was suddenly surprised that they were standing next to Luna’s room; two of her guards were standing at attention. “Oh! Yes I would like to help anyway I could.”
“Thank you.” Lilly knocked on Luna’s door as the guards bowed to her.
Luna opened the door, Lilly and Twilight bowed to her. “Ye had brought me Twilight Sparkle. We are so pleased, thank ye Lady Chaos.”
“You’re welcome Princess.” Lilly said. “I have told her only a little bit, you will have to tell her the rest. I don’t remember a lot.”
Luna nodded in understanding. “Tis true Lady Chaos, ye were busy. Thank ye again for saving her.”
Lilly nodded. “Princess, I tried my best. If you would excuse me? I think I need some rest.”
“Yes, ye should get rest; tomorrow we shall get thou family into the castle and appoint ye some guards.” Princess Luna nodded as she looked at Twilight. “Princess Twilight, please accompany me to tend to Celestia.”
“Yes Princess.” Twilight nodded as Luna let Twilight into her room shutting the door as Lilly walked away back towards the throne room.
Lilly yawned as she slowly opened the door to the throne room and looked in. Discord was redecorating, using dark colors that matched his throne. “Dad. This room looks too dark.” She muttered as she walked over to him.
“You think so?” He asked as he rubbed his beard.
“Yeah, you should hire Aunt Rarity to redecorate for you.” She suggested.
Discord tapped on his tooth. “Maybe… or… I can ask the opinion of your mother.”
“My little double flower. I will take you home.” He looked around the throne room smiled and snapped his fingers.
Fluttershy jumped when Discord appeared right next to her in the kitchen. He was holding Lilly in his arms. “We’re home.” he announced.
Fluttershy gasped as she saw Lilly in his arms. “What happened to Lilly?”
“She’s just tired.” Discord smiled. “She did something wonderful and I’m extremely proud of her.”
Fluttershy looked at him as if waiting for him to explain what he meant but he carried Lilly into the other room and placed her on the couch. Fluttershy followed him with a look of confusion on her face. “What did Lilly do?” She asked.
He turned and looked at Fluttershy, looking like a cat that ate a bird. “Oh you will never ever guess.”
Fluttershy stared at him. “Discord you know I am not good at guessing games.”
“You give up before you even try.” He said sadly. “Oh! I know! Wait right here.” He jumped up and went upstairs.
Fluttershy looked at Lilly and saw that her daughter had dark circles under her eyes and her color seemed a little drained. “Lilly, are you okay?” She asked.
Lilly looked up at her mother and smiled. “Hi Mom… Did Dad tell you yet?”
“No.” Fluttershy answered as she put her hoof on Lilly’s forehead. “What did you two do in Canterlot?”
“Wait… no Lilly! Don’t… don’t tell her! I want to… Please.” Discord said as he carried a box over to Fluttershy.
Lilly yawned and rolled over. “Then tell her.”
“Discord? Why do you have that crown you and Dox got for me on our 2nd wedding anniversary?” Fluttershy asked.
“Because… I want you to wear it tomorrow.” He said softly.
“Why would I wear it?” She looked at him suspiciously.
“Dad, just tell her already.” Lilly said in a frustrated sigh.
“I’m trying to Lilly, but someone keeps interrupting me.” Discord grumbled.
“Discord? What are you and Lilly talking about?” Fluttershy wrinkled her nose.
Discord looked at her little nose wrinkle and wanted to just kiss her. “You are so cute when you wrinkle your nose.” He whispered to Fluttershy.
“Geez.” Lilly sat up and looked at her father sternly. “Dad… if you don’t tell her I will.”
“Alright.” He took the crown out of the box and placed it on Fluttershy’s head. “I rule Equestria now and I need you to sit beside me.”
Fluttershy blinked at him then looked at Lilly. “What?”
“Dad, I think you broke Mom.” Lilly said sleepily.
“What?” Fluttershy said again as she stared at them.
“Okay Mom… I will explain this to you.” Lilly said as she got Fluttershy’s attention. “Celestia was possessed and I saved her from the possession, I am more powerful than I thought I was. Anyway, Celestia is very ill and Luna has asked for help in taking care of Equestria. So… Dad is going to rule in Celestia’s place. It is all legitimate.”
Fluttershy blinked and slowly looked at Discord. “You’re the ruler of Equestria?”
Discord grinned as he put his hand and paw around her hoof. “Yes, and I want you to sit beside me. I love you Fluttershy, please share this with me.”
She took in a deep breath and looked down at his paw slowly stroking her hoof. “When Celestia comes back are you comfortable with giving the power back to her?” She asked.
“I will give it up as soon as Celestia is well enough to return.” He didn’t pause as he looked into her eyes. “I will not give up the power because of her though; I will only give it up because of you and only you.”
Fluttershy blushed as she looked at him. “Okay Discord. I will sit with you.”
“Oh thank goodness.” Lilly said as she got up off the couch. “I’m going to bed. Dad, you’d better make the sun go down before you go to bed.” She stomped upstairs.
Lilly kissed her brother on his cheek. “We are going to move tomorrow Dox. We’ll have guards to watch you every day and make sure you do not hurt yourself. Of course Mom will be there, I think she’d be around you more than any guards.”Paradox slowly rolled over and looked up at her. “Lilly, why didn’t you give into the temptation?”
She blinked at him. “What are you talking about Dox?”
He shrugged as he looked up at the ceiling. “Nothing.”
Lilly was still tired as she stared at him, she then shook her head. “What do you think?”
“I think you should leave me here.” He closed his eyes as he rolled back over to sleep.
“I’m not going to leave you here.” Lilly yawned. “You’re moving to Canterlot with us. Whether you like it or not.”
Paradox pretended he was asleep but was staring at the wall. His ears twitched as he listened to his sister go to her room for the night. He slowly sat up, looked around the room and stretched out his wing and started to pet it slowly. “I would have given in…” He then plucked one of his feathers out; made a face from the pain as he lay back down while staring at his feather.
Luna was walking back and forth in front of the guards. She looked at the guards one by one. Some were extremely young and she shook her head at the newness of them. She looked at one; an earth pony guard. “Ye, tell me how ye shall watch the charge, and how thou shall protect them?”
“Ever vigilant and to the death ma’am!” The guard saluted and bowed.
Luna nodded and waved her hoof and the guard stood with the others again. Most were Pegasus and unicorn guards. “We have asked the captain of the guard to choose the most elite of the guards for this assignment. We do not know if ye have heard any rumors, but we shall enlighten thou. Discord is to be obeyed as he is now the ruler of Equestria as such a time that my sister, Princess Celestia is to return. His Daughters and his Son shall be treated right, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for LillyRose; Lady Chaos. As ye all know, Fluttershy shall also be here, she is married to Discord so thou shall take instructions from her as well. Is there any questions for us?”
A young Pegasus guard stepped forward. “Yes, ma’am?”
“Yes?” Luna nodded
“I… I just started this week… are you sure I am fit for this assignment?” She asked nervously as she bowed shakily.
Luna looked at her for a long moment. “Ye will be assigned Fluttershy. Ye will guard her with thou life and do what she commands thou to do.”
“Yes ma’am.” She saluted and looked relieved all at once.
Luna then assigned guards to the family members. The one she didn’t assign was a guard for Discord, since he’d be surrounded by guards no matter what and he didn’t really need a guard.
Luna pointed to the earth pony guard. “Ye are one of the bravest of the guards, we pick thou to be Lady Chaos’ personal guard. Ye shall be at her side all the time, be at her beck and call. Do whatever she requires of thou… Can ye do that?”
He had bowed to the Princess and nodded. “I shall make you proud my Princess.”
Luna nodded at them, “We are already proud of all of thou. The family will be arriving today. We suggest ye all be prepared.” She walked off with two of her own personal guards walking behind her.
The earth pony guard blinked. “Doesn’t Lady Chaos have wings? How do I keep up with that?”
A unicorn guard laughed. “I guess you will be running a lot then. Didn’t you hear the rumor about her?”
“What rumor?” The earth pony guard asked.
“I heard that she eats the flesh of ponies.” The unicorn guard whispered. “She has sharp fangs that she will sink deeply into your flesh. Her bat wings blotted out the sun on the day that Celestia lost her throne.”
The earth pony guard looked doubtful. “Come on that is just a rumor.” He shook his head. “I fully doubt that Luna would let some pony like that take over Equestria.”
“That is what I have heard.” The unicorn guard muttered. “Good luck with her Zero. Be prepared to get a lot of exercise by running up and down hallways trying to keep up with some pony that has magic and can fly.”
“It won’t be that bad.” Zero muttered. “Will it?”
The unicorn laughed and shrugged. “Who knows; I was assigned to Lord Paradox and I heard that he is ill, should be an easy assignment.”
Fluttershy felt so embarrassed sitting on the throne that Discord had fashioned for her. “Um, I… don’t like how every pony is staring at me.”
Discord looked at his wife and smiled. “They are not staring at you, they are admiring your beauty and envious of me who has such a beautiful wife. Eat your hearts out! She is mine!” He rubbed behind her wings as she blushed and tried to make herself look smaller.
“Lord?” The Captain of the guards addressed Discord. “Luna has assigned guards for you and your family. I do hope they meet your approval.” He stepped back and indicated the guards standing behind him at attention.
“Oh?” Discord leaned forward as he looked at the guards. “Which one is my wife’s?”
A young Pegasus stepped forward. “I… I am.” She said nervously.
“Excellent, I approve all of them, whatever Luna thinks would be best for my family so be it.” He grinned and sat back on the throne. “Oh, this is easy Fluttershy.”
Fluttershy just looked terrified on the throne. “C… can I go?”
Discord looked at her in shock. “But we just got here…” He noticed her panicking. “Oh, alright.”
“You.” Discord pointed at the Pegasus. “Take Lady Fluttershy to our room.”
“Thank you.” Fluttershy squeaked to him as her guard went over to her.
“Come on Aunt Fluttershy. I mean… Lady Fluttershy.” The Pegasus said.
Fluttershy looked at the Pegasus better and hazarded a smile. “Little Silver Dash, thank goodness you are someone I know. Aren’t you a little young to be in the guard?”
“Well you know how mom is…” Silver whispered as she walked with Fluttershy out of the throne room.
Fluttershy looked back at Discord as he started to get up and walk around the throne room. “Yes… I do know how Rainbow Dash can be.” She didn’t notice that Lilly had walked into the throne room quietly as the door closed.
The guards went to where they were supposed to go and meet up with their charges. Only one guard left was standing with the Captain. The earth pony guard Zero stood with the Captain as Discord kept changing their uniforms for his amusement. The Captain stood without emotion as Discord snapped his fingers making the guard’s uniform turn into pink tutus, cheerleading outfits, etc.
“Why are you still here?” Discord asked them both as he changed their uniform the color of puce. “I am sure you aren’t here because you want my company.”
“Your daughter told me that she would be here.” The Captain said. “This is her appointed guard.”
Discord looked at Zero and shook his head as he shrugged. “Well, if Lilly says she’ll be here she’ll be here.” He went back to his throne and sat down.
Lilly appeared out of thin air next to the Captain and the earth pony guard. “I am here.” She said calmly then looked at her appointed guard and back at her father. “I don’t need a guard Dad.” She said as she trotted up to Discord and went to sit on Fluttershy’s throne. “I am not a foal; I can take care of myself without a guard tagging along.”
“Lilly, the guards are here to protect us.” Discord sighed as he looked at his daughter.
Zero’s eyes widened as he watched Lilly argue with her father, but then he snapped to attention when he saw her point at him while she argued.
“What makes you think that he can even keep up with me?” Lilly huffed.
“You are not suggesting that you would try to lose the guard?” Discord muttered at her.
“No…” She grumbled, because that is what she was going to try to do the first chance she got. “Can we talk about this in private? I hate having them listen to me.” She waved at the guards. “I have to tell you something important, plus… where is Mom?”
“Your Mom got nervous being here, so I let her leave with her guard.”
Lilly sighed and looked tiredly at her father. “I need to talk to her too. I still don’t need a guard…”
“Too bad LillyRose. I’m going to put my hoof down… You will have a guard.” Discord folded his arms and put his hoof down.
“Fine!” Lilly groused as she stormed past the guard and to the door of the throne room. She looked back at him. “Well?!” She shouted at him.
Zero blinked suddenly when he realized she was talking to him. “Oh, um yes… Lady Chaos.” He trotted after her.
Lilly trotted quickly down the hallway and her mane seemed to spark with electricity as she walked. Zero followed behind her and he didn’t say anything as he heard her grumbling. “All I want to do is help and then I am told to have a guard watching me all the time…” She stopped for a second and turned to look right at Zero. “You! Don’t repeat what I say!” She growled.
Zero blinked at her. “Yes Lady Chaos.”
“Good.” She then started to walk again and he followed her.
Two guards stood outside Paradox’s room at attention looking forward with no emotion. One an earth pony the other a unicorn.
“There is a way to make you happy again.” Lilly said, “I’m going to make you happy.”
“How?” Paradox asked as he sat looking at the food that Lilly brought him.
“I don’t know yet.” she said as she looked at her hooves. “We moved to this great looking castle and there are many other ponies here in Canterlot and you choose to hide in this room.”
“Big deal Dox. I’m still looking for myself.” Lilly grabbed the apple from his plate and started to eat it.
“Maybe you should ask Scarlet for insight.” he muttered.
“Scarlet doesn’t say anything unless it’s important, plus she never gives a straight answer. Besides it’ll just confuse Grace.” She then smiled. “Oh, did you know? Grace has a boyfriend.”
Paradox growled and sat up. “What?”
“Yes, it’s serious too. I met him; he’s a real gentle pony.”
“What does dad think of him?” Paradox was frowning.
“You know how dad is…” Lilly rolled her eyes.
Paradox lay back. “He terrorized him. Good.”
“Yeah, but no.” Lilly smirked.
Paradox looked at his sister. “Lilly, you are not telling me everything.”
She grinned at him. “I don’t want to. What a better way to get you out of here to talk to some pony else than mom and I.”
“I’m not interested.” He answered. “Besides, no one wants to talk to a monster.”
“I’ll tell you something… I am planning on leaving, I don’t know when or how long I will be gone.”
Paradox looked at her. “Why?”
“I cannot explain it Dox, but I feel like I am drowning at night and I feel like I need to claw through mud to catch my breath. It was like when I was being possessed by that evil entity that broke Celestia.” She gulped. “I don’t like that feeling Dox…”
“That is how I feel everyday Lilly. I need to destroy this feeling though; I don’t know how you can bare it while I feel like it is going to take me over.” Paradox closed his eyes. “Sometimes I let it just wash completely over me and wish it would really drown me, but it doesn’t. I awake the next morning.”
“Don’t drown Dox. I wouldn’t want that to happen to you. I want… no I think I need you to be happy again.” She leaned against him and sighed. “I love you Doxy. You have always been with me. I wish you were well enough to travel with me.”
Paradox sighed and leaned against her. “It is family that keeps me going. I am guessing that I would be lost if it wasn’t for you. I love you too Lilly. I am sorry if I cannot let this feeling go within me.”
“I will find a way to make you escape those strange claws of doubt within you.” She muttered as she hugged him. “Eat something Doxy. I’m going to go and talk to Mom and Dad.”
Lilly walked out of her brother’s room and stopped when her guard snapped to attention. She let out a frustrated huff as she walked down the steps of the tower while her guard followed her.
“If you were a Pegasus; we’d already be at my parent’s room.” She muttered to the guard. He didn’t say anything as he walked behind her. He looked around and slowly looked down at her long scaly tail as she carried it slightly up so it wouldn’t drag on the ground. His eyes traveled up her tail to her hips and he felt his face start to burn with a blush; he looked away quickly.
Lilly kept grumbling as she started up the steps to the tower where her parents stayed. “How can I tell them?” She was asking herself. “So do I tell them that I am leaving and that they should not worry about me?”
Zero wanted to say something but he kept quiet as he walked up the stairs behind her, he kept his eyes averted from looking at her rear again though. Professionalism, remember your training, and keep thoughts to yourself.
As they go to the top of the tower Lilly trotted to the doors where two guards were standing. They both put up their wings to block Lilly. “Halt.”
Lilly frowned at the guards. “Seriously? I am their daughter.”
“Lord Discord said they are not to be disturbed.” A large guard muttered to Lilly.
“I’m their daughter!” Lilly growled.
“My Lady?” Zero suddenly spoke up.
Lilly turned and looked at her guard. “What?”
“Maybe, they are doing something… important?” Zero gulped as she stared at him with her crimson eyes.
Lilly looked at the guards at the door, then she turned away her face was suddenly burning as a blush ran over her cheeks. “Oh.” She suddenly extended her wings. “I’m going to fly to my room, if you want to guard it, you’ll have to get there on your own.” She jumped up and flew towards her room in another tower.
Zero let out a deep sigh and hung his head after he looked at the two guards. They both shook their heads at him as he set out at a run to find Lilly’s room on his own.
Discord moved the sun down and grinned at how simple it was. He then looked at Fluttershy who was watching him command the sun, he made it do a little loop around and finally set, she shook her head at him. She was lounging on her side on the large bed in their bedroom in one of the castle towers. He couldn’t help but admire her as he jumped on the bed. “My Queen Fluttershy.” He whispered as he snuggled up against her. “What is your pleasure?”
Fluttershy felt her cheeks start to burn as she wiggled against him. “Oh, you are just teasing me now.”
He placed his paw on his chest. “I never tease you. I’d rather please you.” He leaned down and kissed her softly as he curled up around her; he rubbed his claw over her flank and her cutie mark. “It’s our first night here… I say we have some fun.”
Fluttershy blushed as he rubbed her flank. “What if… Um… the guards hear us?” She asked.
Discord chuckled. “I don’t care if they do. You recall my love, that I’m an exhibitionist. They could watch for all I care, maybe they will learn something.”
“Um, I don’t want them to watch.” She whispered.
He chuckled. “It’s okay, I won’t allow them to watch, and they cannot hear us. At least I don’t think they can.”
Fluttershy blushed deeply. “Can you make sure?”
“My love, don’t you worry, they already know we’re married…” He paused when she gave him a pouting face. “Okay I’ll make sure.”
He snapped his fingers and disappeared to reappear outside the room. He saw two guards standing there. “Make sure we aren’t disturbed and don’t listen.” they both nodded curtly. “If you hear a small pony moaning in pleasure ignore it, more than likely it is my wife.” He grinned as he reappeared in their room again. “They cannot hear you.” He reassured Fluttershy as he slowly crawled into the bed again.
She sighed as she relaxed when he slowly curled up around her again. “Thanks for making sure.”
“My pleasure.” He whispered as he nibbled along her neck and rubbed his paw over her body.
“Oh…” she seemed to melt under his attention. Her wings fluttered as he moved his paw over her back and down across her flanks.
He moved his claw over her shoulder as he moved his body over her. “I cannot ever get enough of you.” He whispered as he pushed her tail to the side with his paw.
She looked back at him as he leaned over her. “I don’t know what I would have done without you.” she said softly.
He rubbed himself up along her hot, damp entrance as he leaned down and kissed her. He pushed his tongue in her mouth as they kissed deeply at the same time he pushed himself into her. Their bodies moved in synch with one another they each knew what the other needed and they didn’t mind the knowledge.
Fluttershy moaned out when their kiss ended and he moved his hips against her as he gripped her shoulders. “Oh, yes my love.” He encouraged as he thrust into her harder.
“Oh please, Discord.” Fluttershy panted out loudly as she felt her orgasm over take her. “Oh yes!”
He felt her flow over his need and he kept the pace up as he moved in and out of her like a piston. “So silky smooth so tight and oh, Fluttershy.” He moaned lustfully when he felt her tighten around him.
“Discord, please…” she shuddered as her wings quivered with another orgasm.
Discord gritted his teeth as he felt her pleasure flow around him again and he couldn’t hold back any longer. With a deep grunt he pushed in deeply and released himself into her, spilling fourth his seed up against her cervix filling her up. “You feel so good…” He moaned as he bucked up into her letting her muscles flutter and milk him of all his desire.
Reluctantly he pulled from her and he kissed along her neck as she snuggled up against him. “That felt wonderful.” Fluttershy whispered.
“You felt wonderful.” He whispered back as he rubbed her shoulders with his paw and claw. “Thank you for trying to sit with me today in the throne room.”
“Oh, I’m sorry that I could not stay longer. All that attention on me… scares me.” She blushed.
“While I am with you, you shouldn’t have any fear. I will not let anyone harm my beautiful queen.” He whispered as he curled around her protectively. He then grinned as a thought occurred to him and he started to laugh softly.
Fluttershy knew better than to ask but she had to. “Why are you laughing?”
He looked her in the eyes. “Let’s go down to the throne room right now.”
She blinked. “Why? Its night time, no one will be there.”
“I know.” He grinned evilly and winked at her.
Fluttershy’s eyes widened as she blushed at his suggestion. “I… um… Okay.” She said.
Discord looked at her in shock. “Did you just say okay?”
Fluttershy nodded. “Yes.”
“Okay then,” He sat up in the bed picked her up and with a snap of his fingers they disappeared.
The throne room was dark and quiet as Discord and Fluttershy appeared in it. He put her down as he watched her. “It is quiet in here…” She murmured as she walked up to the thrones. She looked at his throne smiled and looked at him as he watched her. “How long have you had this throne?”
Discord was puzzled by the question. “Several centuries, why?”
Fluttershy grinned as she put her hooves on it and started to rub the wood slowly. “The wood is nice and hard on it.” She leaned against it and then looked over her shoulder at him. “Is it a comfortable throne?”
He was biting is lower lip as he watched her rub against his throne. “It’s very comfortable.” He muttered as he walked up to her slowly.
“Hmm, I don’t know.” Fluttershy said as she climbed up on the throne and started to rub the back of it with her hooves. “The wood is sure hard here too.”
Discord smirked as he reached out and placed his claw on her hip. “You want to feel some hard wood?” He asked as he pulled her to him. “I have some right here for you.”
She made a small squeak as he rubbed his arousal against her already damp folds. “Oh yes, that feels pretty hard to me.” She moaned.
“Yes… It’s hard and needs some polishing.” He said as he moved his arousal up slipping it slowly into her entrance and started to make love to her again as she leaned against his throne.
Fluttershy gasped as he pushed in her as she shuddered in pleasure. “Oh, yes…” She moaned loudly.
Discord gripped her tightly as he pushed into her deeply. “You deliberately wanted to do this.” He panted.
“Ooh Discord. Of course I did.” She moaned out when he pushed into her hard. She rested her cheek against the back of his throne as he increased his thrusts.
He huffed in pleasure as they mated on his throne. “Oh. I’m going to…” He pushed into her deeply as he released himself into her again.
14.Lilly was brooding at the large table as she sat at the end of it. It was breakfast time and she poked at her pancakes that the chef in the castle kitchen had made. Her guard stood close by and she was surprised that he had found her quarters last night and met her when she awoke the next morning when she had opened the door.
She pushed the plate with her breakfast away from her and looked up at her guard. “Hey, you want something to eat?” She asked him.
Zero looked at her. “No, thank you Lady Chaos.” He replied just as his stomach growled.
Lilly snickered. “Just eat this, I command you to.” She clicked her tongue and the plate hovered in front of his face then slowly landed on the table.
Zero sighed as he went over to the table and ate the pancakes that Lilly commanded him to eat. It was rather good though and he was hungry.
Lilly just put her elbows on the table and yawned as she looked at the empty seats across from her where her parents should be sitting. She was about to push away from the table and leave when Fluttershy came trotting into the room giggling, followed by Discord walking after her trying to grab at her tail.
Fluttershy stopped when she noticed Lilly sitting looking at her and Discord didn’t stop as fast as he tripped over his wife and used his magic to stop himself from completely falling over as he floated on his back. Fluttershy shook her body and flapped her wings slightly as she righted herself better. “Hi Lilly.” She said shyly.
Discord smirked at Lilly. “Hello my double flower.” He stopped floating and stood up easily.
“Mom, Dad… I wanted to talk to you last night but… your guards wouldn’t let me in your room.” Lilly crossed her arms.
“Oh, yes… um.” Fluttershy blushed.
“Sorry Lilly, I didn’t know you wanted to talk last night.” Discord said softly as he pulled a chair out for Fluttershy to sit. “We can talk now.”
Lilly gave her guard a stern look. Zero blinked at her in shock but then took the hint and left the room quickly. She looked at Fluttershy and Discord. “I’m leaving.”
“What!?” Fluttershy said. “What is wrong Lilly?”
“What are you saying Lilly?” Discord frowned.
“I’m going to find my destiny… I need to find out why I am sad… I want to find out why Paradox thinks he is a monster. I am not finding the solution here. So… I am leaving.” She stared at them and held her breath without realizing it.
Fluttershy kept staring at her daughter and she started to breath in shallow gasps. Discord stared at Lilly then glanced at his wife and placed his paw on her back and started to rub her softly. “Relax Fluttershy, breath regular.” He frowned at Lilly and started to shake his head. “No… You cannot go.”
“You cannot force me to stay.” She growled at him. “I don’t think you are very fair, if it was Paradox you’d let him leave.”
“Not in the state he is in now!” Discord growled back. “There is too much going on in our lives to have you leave right now.”
Lilly stared at her father for a long amount of time and he stared back. Fluttershy just watched them both back and forth. “Um…” she said softly and Lilly blinked and looked at her mother. Discord smirked as if he knew that he won the stare off.
“Sorry Mom.” Lilly said as she sighed deeply. “I’m going to go see Dox.” She trotted out of the room.
Fluttershy looked at Discord. “Why are you treating her like she is a foal?”
“To me she will always be my little double flower. I don’t want her to grow up so fast.” He sighed.
Lilly trotted quickly along the corridor and Zero tried hard to keep up with her. She was sniffling as she went; he noticed she wasn’t heading towards her brother’s tower. “I’m leaving anyway; I cannot watch Dox fall into despair… I cannot be dragged down with him.” She whispered and suddenly stopped as they reached a courtyard and turned around to look at her guard.
Zero stopped and blinked at her. “Lady Chaos?” He said as he looked at her; her crimson eyes had tears in them.
She let out a deep breath. “Tell my parents Good Bye for me.”
“My Lady?” He asked again, but stepped back when she spread her wings and jumped up into the air and flew off.
Paradox curled up in a ball, he had pulled the pillows around him and cried deeply as he felt like his whole life was shattering around him at that moment.
Fluttershy had landed outside of his door her own guard stood outside near the door. Fluttershy walked in closing the door to see him curled up crying. “Doxy? What is wrong?”
He looked up at his mother and his whole body had seemed drained of color. “It’s happened Mom, don’t you feel it? The emptiness…”
Fluttershy shook her head as she looked at him. “I don’t know what…” Paradox covered his head with the pillow.
“No, Lilly is here, she just was up here with you… wasn’t she?” Fluttershy looked around.
He peered out from under the pillows. “No… she didn’t see me this morning.”
“Oh no.” Fluttershy said as she felt her heart tighten in her chest. “I have to tell your father.”
Paradox reached out and held his mother’s hoof. “Not yet Mom… I can’t be alone. Please stay with me.”
“Okay Doxy.” She leaned against him putting her wing over him.
Discord leaned on his throne and he listened to several different complaints and several other things that he really found quite tedious and boring. He sat up slightly when he noticed that Lilly’s guard was next to have an audience with him.
“What are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be watching over my daughter?” Discord asked.
Discord frowned at the guard. “What is it? Spit it out.”
“Lady Chaos has a message for you.” Zero’s legs were shaking so much that he felt like he might collapse.
“Yes?” Discord was getting impatient.
“She said: Good Bye.” Zero closed his eyes and cringed ready for anything violent to befall him. When nothing happened he opened his eyes slowly.
Discord sat back in his throne arching one of his eyebrows. He sat up again as he looked at Zero and he rubbed his goatee with his claw slowly. He then looked at the captain of the guards. “I won’t be taking any more meetings today.”
“Sir?” The Captain said. “We have been here for only an hour.”
Discord growled at the Captain. “My daughter ran away… I think I can cancel meetings for the day.”
“Yes sir.” The Captain saluted. Zero started to back out of the throne room.
“You! Don’t leave.” Discord growled at him and Zero stopped in his tracks.
Discord got up from the throne and walked over to Lilly’s guard. “Tell me what she said.” He demanded. “Did she say where she was going? What was she doing before she left?”
Zero gulped as Discord approached him and was suddenly demanding answers from him that he didn’t have the answer to. “I… Sir… I’m… She was… I…” He stuttered.
Discord put his finger on Zero’s muzzle. “Calm down.”
Zero blinked as all his thoughts that were jumbled before became organized. “What happened?”
“You are about to tell me what happened with LillyRose.” Discord muttered.
“Yes Sir.” He saluted. “Lady Chaos left the dining room this morning and I followed her she was muttering something about being dragged down into despair with her brother and she didn’t want to be. She had turned to me and she was crying. She told me to inform you and her mother Good Bye. She spread her wings in the southwest courtyard and flew north.” Zero blinked in amazement at remembering everything.
Discord frowned with the news. “You are dismissed.”
“Sir?” Zero said. “What do I do?”
“When Lilly returns you will be her guard again, but until then… consider it a vacation. With little or no pay.” Discord grumbled.
Zero nodded and slowly left the throne room.
Discord extended his wings, snapped his fingers disappeared and reappeared outside the castle. He looked around the southwest courtyard and flew up into the sky. He sighed as he looked in the northerly direction all he saw was the Crystal Mountains in the distance. He had no idea how he would begin the search for Lilly; he slowly landed back on the ground taking in a deep breath, he had to tell Fluttershy. He placed his paw on his muzzle. “Oh my double flower. You didn’t have to run away.”
Lilly felt her wings grow tired as she flew, she never flew this far before. Most of the times she used her magic to get her from one point to another and usually she liked showing off the fact that she knew more spells than Paradox did. She was crying when she had left the castle and she felt like her heart was being torn in half followed by loss and emptiness spreading over her whole entire body.
She flew towards the Crystal Mountains and she was determined to get to them that day and she faltered when her wings weakened slightly so she flew down towards a waterfall that she saw below her. When she landed she felt all her emotions flood around her as she fell down onto the damp grass. “I… cannot do this.”
“Do what?” A voice asked from the water.
Lilly looked up and saw a pony looking at her from the water. The pony blinked at her curiously and suddenly disappeared below the water. Lilly blinked and crawled to the edge of the water and looked for the pony. “Hello?”
“Hello?” The voice echoed from down the stream.
Lilly stood up slowly and looked down the stream trying to see the pony before. “Who are you? Where are you?”
“Hello?” A voice said right next to Lilly. Lilly looked back down to the stream and saw the pony she saw before in the water her mane looked very damp and was red and her coat was orange with strange iridescent colors that shined as she moved in the sun light in certain ways . The pony smiled up at her. “What are you?”
Lilly backed away from the water. “Come out of the water and talk to me.”
“That is impossible. What are you? I have seen a lot of ponies here, but you… you are different. I don’t talk to any other ponies, but you made me very curious.” The pony said as it looked at Lilly curiously.
“What do you mean impossible, just step out of the water.” Lilly flapped her wings in irritation.
“No can do.” The pony whispered as she slowly sank back down into the water. “I am beginning to think I should have kept my mouth shut.”
“Wait, I’m sorry. I’m not a pony.” Lilly said suddenly.
The pony in the water was just looking at her. She put her muzzle up slowly. “Not a pony? I knew it. What is she then?”
Lilly was thinking the same thing. “I’m a draconequus. What are you?”
“I’m a kelpie.” The pony in the water said proudly. “I come from a long lineage of kelpies. I cannot live out of the water though, my great, great, great, great, great… so many greats grandfather was able to come out of the water, but now we kelpies cannot.” She suddenly moved as her tail came up out of the water and made a splash.
“A kelpie…” Lilly mused. “How long have you been here? Wherever here is.”
The kelpie sunk below the surface of the water while still watching Lilly. Lilly saw her swim in the clear water and she actually looked like a fish, when she resurfaced she was a closer to the waterfall. “I have been here as long as the waterfall has been here.” She then swam back to Lilly. “Come into the water… It is nice.”
“No thank you.” Lilly said as she walked away from the water’s edge.
The kelpie lifted slightly out of the water and looked at her. “Why won’t you swim with me? I just want to hold you down so you can live with me forever.”
“Sorry, not interested.” Lilly growled.
“I love you though. You have pretty horns on your head and your long tail reminds me of a dragon.” The kelpie pouted.
“No.” Lilly said as she spread out her wings.
“Oh! Wings!” The kelpie looked at them and suddenly dived back down into the water then came back up and spit water toward Lilly. “Come swim before leaving… It will relax you; the water is nice and warm.”
“Sorry, but I am leaving.” Lilly jumped up into the sky and flew off.
“I shouldn’t have told her I wanted to drown her.” The kelpie muttered and dived back into the clear water.
Lilly shook her head as she flapped her wings tiredly; she changed her trajectory as she flew more towards the northwest where she had heard about gryphons. She paused in midair though when she remembered her mother telling her about a gryphon that yelled at her for no reason than just being in the way. She decided to just fly that way and see what happened when she got there. “I need to rest though, and I’m hungry.” She murmured to herself.
It took a couple months after Lilly left that things went back to fairly normal. Scarlet Grace had gotten married at the castle, it was a small ceremony and Fluttershy cried a lot; seeing their youngest get married even brought a tear to Discord’s eye. Twilight showed up after reporting that Celestia had took a turn for the worse in the past week and she wasn’t sure how she could make her better. Paradox had started to just go into small spells of just staring off into space and rocking himself back and forth on his bed. Discord had started brooding in the throne room, waiting for any news of Lilly.
Fluttershy looked outside; it was beautiful with the sun shining and the birds singing. The castle in Canterlot had the best views of everything, even when Discord wanted the horizon to show pinstripes and argyles in the sky. She sighed deeply as she went to sit back down to work on her knitting.
“Mom?” A low whisper came from the adjacent room.
Fluttershy got up quickly and walked into the darkened room. “Yes Dox? You need me?”
“Yes, am I still a monster?”
“You’re my unique child, and I love you.” She whispered.
He sat up to look at her as he flapped his beautiful blue wings. “I don’t think you know what I am. I’m horrible. I’m a monster. Monster.” He grabbed one of his wings and started to tear his feathers out one by one.
Fluttershy ran to him. “No! Don’t do that… Those are your wings, they are beautiful. Stop it Dox, please!!” She put her hooves in between his paws and his wings. He scratched her and she gasped pulling away.
Paradox stopped when he saw he had harmed his mother and he suddenly curled around himself. “See… I am a monster.” He started to cry and shake.
Fluttershy recovered quickly, walking up and slowly lying down next to him as she put her soft wing over his shaking body. He was twice her size but she still said, “No…no… You are my sweet little boy… my little boy. I love you. Please don’t cry, don’t cry…”
There was a noise in the other room and hoof steps were heard. Fluttershy looked up from trying to comfort Paradox and her eyes widened at seeing her daughter Lilly walk into the dark room.
“Lilly!” Fluttershy got up. “Where have you been? What are you doing here?”
“Hello Mom. I have missed you. How is Paradox?” Lilly’s eyes were shining slightly. Fluttershy hadn’t seen her in almost a year.
“Dox had just tried to pull out his feathers, so he is the same.” She held up her hoof and showed Lilly what he had done to her. Lilly nodded and leaned down and kissed her mother’s hoof. The scratches started to heal instantly.
“I have a plan Mom, has Dad been around?”
Fluttershy sighed and looked at a castle spire across the way. “He has been distant, he gives me his love, but he is hurting inside. I can sense it.”
Lilly approached Paradox he looked up at her without moving, his mane was long and unruly his eyes were sunken in and shallow looking. It was as if he had given up, Lilly stepped around the feathers that he had just torn from his wings. “Look at you; you are nothing but a pitiful heap of worthlessness.” She said to him bitterly. “How can I call you my brother? We are supposed to be equals. You are supposed to protect me; not the opposite!”
Paradox just watched her; his eyes were dim and seemed to show nothing but loss.
Fluttershy went to Lilly, “Please Lilly, don’t make him feel worse.”
Lilly looked at her mother. “It’s ok. Let me do this. Please Mom, if you don’t want to see me do this you can wait in the other room.”
Fluttershy placed her hoof on her lips and just sat down to watch Lilly.
Lilly turned back to Paradox. “You are older than me by five minutes, Dad saw you first before he fainted. Our Dad, the Spirit of Chaos; fainted… he was so happy that you were born. He loves us, he loves you… You know this.”
“You used to protect me Paradox. You would come to me when I was sad.” She moved her long tail over to her brother’s muzzle. “You’d even bite Aunt Misery’s tail when you thought she was going to hurt me. She didn’t of course.”
“That was kind of funny.” He finally said softly.
“Of course it was.” Lilly looked at him sternly. She then looked at Fluttershy. “Mom, can you get Dad. Please?”
Fluttershy looked at her children reluctantly. “I will, don’t hurt your brother Lilly.”
“I will not hurt Paradox.” Lilly nodded.
Fluttershy spread her wings and flew out the window to fly to the spire across the courtyard of Canterlot Castle. “I’ll be back.”
Lilly nodded to her mother and then turned back to Paradox. “I am a monster. If there ever was a monster. I am one.” Her mane started to glow deeply. Her eyes started to glow a deep crimson that seemed to radiate within.
Paradox sat up as he looked at his sister. “What makes you say that?”
“We… are all monsters Paradox. You, me, Dad, Mom, our aunts, our uncle and our little sister. We are all monsters. It may come as a shock, but… it is true. We are… all monsters.”
His eyes widened as he stared at his sister, her soft red coat was glowing as she revealed the truth. “You… mean…”
“I mean… that you are not alone, you are a monster, but not all monsters are evil. You are not evil Dox. You never have been; you never will be. I, on the other hoof… am evil.”
“No, you are not!” Discord walked in, grabbed Lilly and hugged her.
“Never say that you are evil.” Discord muttered as he let his daughter go to look at her. “You are my little LillyRose. My double flower.” He sniffled as a tear started to roll down his cheek.
Paradox slowly got up off the bed he had been in and took a step. Lilly gasped at the fact that Dox was moving, something he hadn’t done in a while. “Sister…”
Lilly moved away from Discord as she trotted to her brother quickly as he took another step towards them. “Do you understand what I have told you?” She asked as he placed his paws on her supporting back.
Paradox nodded as tears rolled down his cheeks. “Yes, Lilly. Thank you… You have opened my eyes. I’m a monster, but I am not an evil monster. I shouldn’t dwell on it.”
“Yes…” Lilly said softly to her brother, tears started to form in her eyes and she smiled lightly. “You are my only brother; I do not want to lose you to despair.”
Fluttershy put her hooves to her mouth as she watched Paradox holding onto Lilly. Her eyes were filled with tears as her mane fell slightly in front of her face. “That is what I have been trying to tell you, my Doxy.”
Discord watched as he moved towards his children. “There will be some time to heal. Paradox, will you be okay? You have been on the edge of despair for over two years. I have only seen one other descend into despair before, but he was never able to escape its poisonous grip…” Discord stopped and wiped a tear that was threatening to fall from his eyes.
“It warped him, consumed him like a flame that caused his body to twist and change. It made him bitter and vile.” Fluttershy finished for Discord as she leaned against him. Discord hugged and looked at her. “I never want that to happen to you Dox.” She sniffled as she put her head against Discord’s chest.
Lilly blinked as she looked at her parents and her ears suddenly went up. “You… are talking about our uncle Sorrow.” *note
Discord made a low growl at the name and frowned. “It is alright.” Fluttershy said to him softly. “You know he is no longer around.”
“Even from beyond he tries to destroy my family.” Discord muttered. “That is in the past though… Come here Lilly and Dox.” He hugged them both and he couldn’t stop from crying; one feeling better and the other finally home. “My family… together again… Wait until Scarlet Grace finds out…”
Lilly wiped her eyes and looked at her family. “I’m sorry I left… I just… I needed to help Doxy…”
“You missed Grace’s wedding.” Fluttershy said.
“She’s married?” Lilly was shocked.
“Yeah, and we’ll be grandparents soon.” Fluttershy smirked as she leaned on Discord.
Lilly shook her head, “I came back to a lot of changes.”
“Yes,” Discord said. “Except… you will still have a guard assigned to you.”
“I don’t need a guard Dad.” Lilly muttered.
* Read Her Butterflies
Chapter 20 (Just a reminder! Lilly is an Adult in this story.)
LillyRose sat in the study as she read a book. One lone pony guard stood outside the study. Zero had been originally chosen to watch Lady Chaos until she had left from the castle almost a year ago. He remembers the day that she had left when she was crying and had flown off to Celestia knows where, and he had to tell Lord Discord that he had failed in his assignment, but here he was guarding her again.
She moved in the study and Zero snapped out of his thoughts to check on her, he leaned into the room to look around and saw that she had moved to a couch where she lounged with a book. She glanced at him and looked back at her book. He stepped back into position.
Lilly rolled her eyes; she couldn’t believe she had to deal with a guard nosing around every single thing she did. She moved slightly and he would check on her. She sneezed and he’d look at her. Just now he had checked on her she felt like throttling him. Then a thought came to her as she suddenly grinned showing her sharp teeth. The look of evil that she had, matched exactly her father’s devious smile.
Zero heard her shift slightly the position she had on the couch, but kept looking down the empty hall. He knew she hated that he looked in on her too much so he waited. His ear suddenly twitched when he heard something odd in the study.
Lilly grinned as she noticed his ears twitching as she started to pleasure herself on the couch. She let out a soft sigh as she started to move her hoof up and down her wet folds. She just hoped that no one else would come and disturb her while she teased her appointed guard.
Zero blinked as she heard her sigh and his ear twitched again. She then made a purring noise that caught his attention more than anything. He looked down the hallway still and felt himself sweating suddenly.
“Ah…” Lilly said softly as she slowly moved her hoof up and down her slick lips, rubbing up against her button of pleasure. She was thinking about the pleasure more than getting the guards attention now; as she stuck her tongue out as she rubbed harder. “Ah… oh…” She moaned again.
Zero blinked as she let out a moan and he felt himself get hot under the collar. He tried hard not turn to see what was going on but his curiosity peaked as he slowly turned around to look in on LillyRose in the study. His eyes widened and he felt himself grow instantly aroused. She was lying back on the couch pleasuring herself. He gulped as he gawked at her.
Lilly looked at her guard and smiled as he stared at her. She rubbed her sex in front of him and slowly moved both hooves down to expose herself to him. She grinned deviously as she moved one hoof up and down her slick entrance. “Guard.” she whispered. “I need assistance.”
He felt suddenly conflicted. He had duty to protect Lady Chaos, but Princess Luna told him he had to be at her beck and call, do whatever she required of him. Right now she said she required his assistance. He approached her slowly and found it difficult to walk because he was trying hard to hold back his raging hard on. “My Lady what do you require from me?” He gulped as he couldn’t pull his eyes away.
She smiled at him as she licked her lips. “I require you to kneel then use that tongue of yours and pleasure me.” She scooted down the couch a bit. She saw him hesitate. “Come on, don’t delay. Do it before I change my mind.”Zero kneeled down and put his muzzle up to her, his nostrils flared at the smell of her, she was ripe for mating and he felt light headed. He looked up at her and she looked back she had desire and lust in her eyes. He leaned in and licked along her lips slowly. He was young and was inexperienced in pleasuring anyone but apparently she was about as inexperienced as he was as she let out a soft sigh at just a gentle lick of his tongue. He pushed his tongue up into her folds as he started to lick and taste her.
She gasped at the feel of his tongue and she panted as he pushed his muzzle up against her folds running his tongue up against her pleasurable center. “Uh yes… oh…” her legs shook with the feel as she gasped and writhed, her tail slowly wrapped around his waist.
Zero put his hooves on her hips as he pushed his muzzle deep into her hot desire as he pleased her. He throbbed as he kept rubbing his tongue deep into her, tasting her desire as she bucked her hips up. He looked up at her as he ran his tongue up over her hard button and he felt her whole body shudder as she came, her orgasm flooded over his tongue and he slurped her up. She looked down at him as her heart beat like a drum.
Her eyes glowed crimson with an inner fire as she gestured for him to stand. Zero stood up as he looked at her his muzzle wet with her. “You know how to use that don’t you?” she asked in a sultry voice indicating his aching member.
“Yes. My Lady.” he stated as he felt his hardness throb.
She slowly slinked off the couch and on the floor where she got into mounting position. “Then show me.” She whispered her tail slowly moved to the side.
He’d never mated before though but he knew how to… at least he hoped he knew. He bit down on his lower lip as he mounted Lilly pushing himself into her tightness. His head swam in pleasure at the feel of her. Slowly he pushed in until he hit up against her barrier, she was a virgin and he was surprised gritting his teeth he pushed in harder but just the feel of her muscles contracting around him was causing him to come almost prematurely. He shook his head concentrating as he thrust hard into her, she let out a loud gasp as he broke through and felt his body shake as desire took over to his instincts and he started to mate with her rough and hard he pushed deeply into her and she moaned in pleasure. He had no control of his timing as he suddenly released his pent up lust and desire into her. Spraying his hot seed deeply into her virgin body and making her his. He thrust several times afterward until he felt thoroughly drained of his lustful need to fill her. He withdrew his desire and nibbled along the back of her neck.
She sighed deeply and looked at him. “That felt good.” she whispered as she blushed.
“Yes… My Lady.” he muttered as he blushed as well, he moved off of her back and tried to make himself look presentable again, his helmet was on the floor and his armor was a bit skewed.
She watched him try to look presentable again and she grinned. “You will do that when I ask you to. Okay?”
“My Lady?” he asked.
“Call me Lilly, and you are to mate with me when I tell you to.” She grinned at the shocked look on his face. “What is your name?”
“My name is Zero Clash. My Lady…. Umm Lilly.” he felt really dizzy at all that she was saying to him. “As I said to you when Luna placed me with you. I am here to protect you and to do whatever you require of me.”
“I require you to mate with me for now on. Only when I tell you.” she whispered. “Also, no bragging to your fellow guards. What we do together is at my discretion if you so much mention our mating. I will personally cut you up… I mean, off.” She grinned malevolently.
He caught himself nodding and felt his desire for her renew again, but he knew she wouldn’t mate with him unless she wanted to. “Yes Lilly. I shall do whatever you require of me.”
Lilly smiled, “Good, now go back to doing whatever guards do.” she sighed happily as she grabbed her book and started to read again.
Zero stared ahead as he guarded the royal bath house, Lilly, Lady Fluttershy and Lady Scarlet Grace were all within. He stood next to the guards appointed for Lady Fluttershy and Scarlet Grace, one was a young Pegasus mare with a mane of gold and silver, the other guard was a bored unicorn stallion with a black mane.
“My charge is so easy to take care of, as soon as she is with her husband I can take my break.” The unicorn muttered.
“Aunt Fluttershy.” The Pegasus stated proudly. “My mother is one of her friends, so I call her my aunt.”
“I am guessing your charge is the Lady of Chaos?” The unicorn asked Zero.
Zero looked at him and nodded. “Yes.”
“Oh, I hear she is difficult, she hates every pony.” The Pegasus stated. “Which I find odd because Lilly and I used to play when we were little. She was so sweet then, just that… every time a boy liked her, she would do something to scare them away.”
“I hear she has a disposition of a viper.” The unicorn muttered. “Good luck to you then.”
They all suddenly snapped to attention when all three walked from the bath house. Fluttershy was smiling and talking to her daughters lovingly. “I am so glad we were able to spend time together again.” She approached Lilly and hugged her. “I am sorry to hear that you will be leaving in a few days. Please write to me and your father.”
“I will.” Lilly said.
“Why are you leaving again?” Grace asked as she rubbed her swollen belly. “Paradox is better and you are leaving again. You probably won’t see the baby born too.”
“What if, what you are looking for isn’t out there, but here?” Grace asked.
“Then I shall find it later than sooner.” Lilly answered, she stretched her bat wings as she suddenly turned to her guard. “Zero. I am going for a flight by myself. I will be at my room later.”
“Wait.” Fluttershy stated before her daughter took off. “I need you to meet my guard!”
Lilly looked at her mom lovingly. “Okay…” She turned to look at the guards and she smiled suddenly. “Silver Dash!”
The Pegasus guard bowed to Lilly and Lilly shook her head. “Silver! You don’t need to bow! How is Aunty Rainbow?”
Silver started to blush deeply. “Well you know… She is always trying to whip the new Wonder Bolt recruits into shape. I am just glad she let me become a royal guard. It’s easy taking care of Aunt Fluttershy.”
“Well, I can think of no one better.” Lilly smiled and gave her friend a hug. “Give your mother love from me.”
“I will. I am so glad you remembered me.”
Lilly smiled some more which shocked the unicorn guard and Zero. “I cannot forget one of my best friends.” She then looked over to her mother and her sister. “Thank you Mom. We’ll talk later.” She spread out her wings and she flew up into the sky. Zero put his head down and sighed deeply.
Fluttershy and Scarlet Grace both walked off, their guards following them, Fluttershy had a friendly conversation with her own guard. Zero started to trot off quickly, he knew if he showed up too late Lilly would reprimand him, so he rushed as he trotted through the castle to the tower where Lilly’s room was.
He was panting as he arrived at the tower where she usually retired for the night. He walked into her room and started to get the room all ready for her. Lighting candles, throwing more wood onto the fire and making sure the place looked perfect for her. He smoothed out the sheets on the bed and trotted out the doorway of her room then stood stoic and still.
She landed delicately on the balcony and trotted past Zero without even looking at him. She walked in her room; clicking her tongue the door slammed shut behind her.
“I commend you on getting my room ready Zero.” She smiled as she walked over to him. “You even smoothed the sheets on my bed.”
“I do what I can… Lilly.” He nodded. “It’s what is required of me.”
She thought his same reply was quite funny as she chuckled. “So if I required you to get in the bed… you would?”
“Of course.” He tried not to blush as he looked at her… she was slowly walking around him as if sizing him up for something.
“I am going to be leaving in a few days and I am curious as to what you will be doing while I am gone.” She moved close to him and he suddenly felt her long tail curl slowly around one of his legs briefly.
“I don’t know.” He honestly answered as he stepped slightly to regain his balance.
Her tail seemed to have a mind of its own as she talked to Zero. It slowly snaked up his back leg and started to rub up against him. He gulped in air as he felt her tail slowly rub against his growing need. “So, I am guessing that you won’t miss me then?”
The door to the room opened suddenly with a loud bang. Lilly quickly pulled away from the kiss with Zero her tail untangled instantly from around his body. She clicked her tongue as quietly as she could and Zero felt her magic tingle around him he looked around confused and saw her place her hoof against her lips. “You are paralyzed temporarily. Don’t worry.” She whispered to him.
Discord walked into the room. “Lilly? You are leaving again? When were you going to tell me?” He looked around the room and saw the guard standing there. “Oh… Lilly were you talking to your guard?”
“Yes, I was giving him instructions in how to take care of my room while I was gone.” She looked at her father and felt so vulnerable. “I didn’t think you would have a problem with me leaving again. Mother seemed comfortable with me leaving.”
“No, she isn’t.” He rubbed his muzzle. “Your mom is worried.”
Lilly sighed as she glanced over at Zero. “I am sorry she is worried, but… I must go. I have to find my destiny.”
Discord tapped his hoof and looked around her room then he looked at the guard. He approached Zero and looked at him. “LillyRose…”
Lilly looked at him. “Yes Father?”
“Paralyzing your guard? Why?” He poked Zero with a claw.
Lilly blushed and looked away from Discord. “No reason.”
“Then… you wouldn’t have a problem with me doing this.” He snapped his fingers and Zero suddenly collapsed to the floor and let out a deep breath.
Lilly stood there, her cheeks burning with a blush. “Dad, why did you do that?”
Zero suddenly stood up. “Sorry Lady and Lord… May I leave?” He started to back out of the room as fast as he could.
“STOP!” Discord commanded.
Zero stopped in his tracks and he started to sweat as Discord approached him. “Yes My Lord?”
Discord frowned and suddenly smiled as he handed Zero his helmet. “You dropped this.”
“Thank you my Lord.” Zero took the helmet jammed it on his head and made himself scarce.
Lilly frowned. “He was my guard.”
“Just because he is your guard, really doesn’t make him your sex toy Lilly.” Discord muttered to her. “Don’t do that to them. They have feelings too.”
She gasped. “How did you know?”
Discord sighed and looked at her. “Do you think I am that clueless?”
She didn’t answer as he walked over to the door and looked out, he then shut it. “I’m your father first and foremost, when I found out that you had been with that guard I wanted to kill him. Your mother though she’s was all: Discord your daughter is older now and she can make her own decisions…” He did a perfect impersonation of Fluttershy. “So today I was hoping to catch you before you did anything so you’d stop playing around with that guard’s feelings. Unless of course you love him then all this is a moot point.” He sighed as he looked at her.
Lilly shuffled her hooves, she hadn’t had to listen to her father give her a lecture in a long time and she hung her head. “That is why I am leaving.”
“Because you have feelings for a guard?” His ears went forward.
“No, um maybe. I just don’t know Dad. I need to do something; the ponies here fear me except for Zero.” She looked up at her father and she had some tears in her eyes. “I want to find somewhere that doesn’t shun me because of yours and my reputation.”
“I’ll have you know I have a very good reputation.” He grinned and then got serious again in a blink of an eye. “You are not a villain you are trying to keep Equestria safe, just because the ponies here don’t understand our intentions doesn’t mean they fear us. They are more afraid of the unknown; Luna alleviates a lot of those fears. Maybe you should sit on the throne a few hours and see if these ponies really fear you. I don’t envy Celestia any longer after being in charge now.” He placed his paw on his face and looked worn out. “If you want to leave you can, I only want you to know that your mother and I have your best interest at heart. It was so nice that you did return when your mother was at her wits end; Paradox was in a very dark place before you came back. I thought we’d lose him.”
Lilly shuffled her hoof again. “Dad, I would have felt terrible if anything bad had happened to Paradox. He was the reason why I left to begin with. I had to find a way to make him happy again. When he was in that dark place; made me feel like I was in that same dark place and felt like I was drowning.”
Discord sat down heavily on the chair nearby. “How did you come to the realization that we are all monsters?”
She sighed heavily as she focused on the fire in the fireplace. “You told me that there were a lot of different creatures out in the world. I came across one. Some weird bird deer cross breed. He made me realize that we are all… monsters but not all monsters are evil. So, I am going to search out this creature again, I have questions for him that I need answers to.”
Discord blinked in shock. “A peryton? You seek answers from a peryton? Lilly, be careful… perytons can be a little unpredictable.”
Discord looked at her and smirked. “Yeah, I can be unpredictable, except when your mother is involved, she can predict me. I still don’t know how she does it.”
“Probably from being around you for so long.” Lilly said. “So what do you know about perytons?”
He shook his head. “I don’t know a whole lot about them. The pony you should ask is your mother.”
“No, I don’t want to ask her. I’ll try to find him in the last place that I met him. I won’t leave yet Dad. I will stay for a few more days. I am sorry I did what I did… I will not do it again.”
Discord stood up. “Okay Lilly, I guess we’ll appoint you a new guard, unless you really do care about Mr. Zero?”
“I don’t know Dad.” She was blushing. “He knows what I like and he’s not afraid of me.”
“I’m sure…” Discord made a face. “A new guard it is.”
She stared at him in shock. “But…”
“I have made the decision for you.” Discord stated as he walked out of her room. “I’ll let you tell your previous guard the news of his dismissal. Maybe with you telling him it will lessen the blow.”
Lilly frowned. “How do I tell him?”
“Figure it out my little double flower.” He then disappeared.
Zero sat in the barracks alone, “Oh, I screwed up, I screwed up a lot.” He muttered nervously.
Another guard; a gray unicorn, walked into the barracks looked around, spotted Zero and approached him. “Are you Zero?” Zero nodded. “I have a message for you.”
Zero looked up at the other guard looking miserable. “What is it?”
“The Lady of Chaos has requested your presence immediately.”
Zero stood up too fast and bumped his head on the bunk above him. “Ouch! What? Why does she want to see me?”
“I’m just giving you the message. So you’d better go.” The unicorn guard shrugged.
Zero ran out the door of the barracks shoving his helmet on. The unicorn guard grinned showing sharp teeth and disappeared.
There was a knock on the door and Lilly opened it to see Zero standing there. “What are you doing here?” She asked.
“I was given a message that you needed to see me immediately.” He looked around confused.
Lilly frowned and mumbled something under her breath.
“What did you say?” Zero asked.
She smirked and looked at Zero. “It seems that I have to … do something that I am not used to doing.”
He still looked confused at her. “What do you need to do? Can I assist you in any way?”
“No, Zero… I have to…” She shuffled her hooves. “I really am not good at this…” She flapped her wings in irritation.
“Just tell me Lilly.”
She growled under her breath. “You can no longer be my guard. A new guard will be assigned to me tomorrow morning.”
Zero stared at her and then he physically looked drained as he looked down at his hooves. “Oh, so I have been… fired? I knew it…”
“I’m sorry.” Lilly stated as she walked over to him. “It… wasn’t my decision. My father decided for me.”
Zero shook his head as he looked at her. “So, Lord Discord knows about us?”
Lilly nodded reluctantly.
He then looked at her. “If I am no longer your guard, what does that make us?”
She smiled as she tilted her head slightly at the question. “Friends?”
“Oh… Friends.” He looked at her, his ears drooping.
Lilly wrinkled her muzzle up. “I’m going to leave in a couple days. So, I have to keep it at friends.” She sighed deeply. “I’m sorry Zero. I’m very torn, my thoughts are a jumble, I care a lot about you, but I cannot tell if what I feel is love or if it is lust.”
“You can lust after me! I don’t mind.” Zero smiled and nodded then shook his head at her sad look. “No…” He put his helmet on slowly.
“But… Lilly, when will I see you again?” He started to walk slowly to the door.
“You will see me when I am here; you are still a guard, just not my personal guard.” She sighed. “Goodbye Zero, I will think about you.”
“Goodbye… Lilly… You know how to find me.” He turned to leave, closing the door behind him and dreading climbing back down those steps.
Lilly sighed as she sat and looked at the fire in the fireplace. There was another knock on her door and she growled as she got up to face the door clicking her tongue to open it. A gray unicorn guard walked into her room frowning. “What is wrong with you Lilly?”
“Paradox! Why did you send Zero up here?”
“I thought you’d want to have some fun with your boyfriend, you know, before you left on your trek to Celestia knows where?” Paradox shifted from unicorn form. “And what happens? You kick him out. You are such a prude sis.”
“I’m not a prude. Dad told me to fire him.” She sneered. “So I did.”
“Lilly, Dad tells me to do things all the time. I don’t always do what he says. You are such a goody two shoes prude.” He folded his arms.
“Have you started dating again?” Lilly suddenly asked Dox trying to change the subject.
Paradox frowned at her. “Oh, yeah… ask the broken-hearted to date again.”
“Your heart isn’t broken.” Lilly said. “Why don’t you ask Silver Dash out on a date?”
“Are you kidding? I am not asking out Rainbow Dash’s daughter! I remember kissing Scootaloo, and she wasn’t even related to Rainbow Dash and I had to fly 100 laps every day for a week as punishment.” He shook his head. “I cannot imagine what sort of punishment I would have to endure dating her daughter.”
“You deserved that punishment.” Lilly giggled suddenly.
Fluttershy hugged Lilly tightly. “Please be careful. I am already worried about you.”
“I’ll be safe Mom. I don’t think I will be gone as long as I was last time.” Lilly tried not to show emotions but Fluttershy just made her want to cry.
Discord placed his paw on Lilly’s shoulder. “Just come back home safely.”
“I will.” She smiled up at Discord. “Sorry, I have to leave at this time.”
“You aren’t sorry; you wanted me to be asleep when you left.” Paradox said as he walked up to her. “But I fooled you, I haven’t fallen asleep yet.”
“Paradox, eleven o’clock in the morning isn’t early.” Scarlet Grace stated.
Lilly approached her sister and hugged her. “Don’t have that little one until I get back. I’ll see you all later. I love you, my family.” She spread out her wings and she swallowed as she flew up into the air.
They had all watched as she flew off and Fluttershy looked up at Discord. “Will she be okay?”
He looked down at her as he placed his claw on her back. “She’s smart, she’ll come back safely.”
“Oh… that is rough news Zero.” A young recruitment officer mumbled to Zero when they had heard Zero had been fired. “At least you don’t have to see that viper’s face any longer.”
“She isn’t a viper.” He muttered. “Don’t any pony in here say anything bad about LillyRose; if they do, they’ll have to go against me.” Zero stated as he got up from the bunk and left the barracks, he trotted out to the training grounds and sighed as he looked up at the night sky. Silver Dash looked over at the commotion curiously, watched him leave and turned back to her friends.
Paradox was watching over Zero on his own time; he grinned as he transformed into his disguise of a gray unicorn guard. He approached Zero outside acting like he was a little drunken. “Oh… is you? What are you doing here?” he slurred his words as he fell against Zero.
Zero looked at the unicorn in irritation. “What is wrong with you?”
“Nothing… why is sum thin wrong with you?” Paradox asked as he stumbled and used Zero as a way to steady himself.
“There is…” he whispered “But I rather not talk about it.”
“Was it about Lady Chaos?” He asked as he slipped off Zero’s side and fell to the grass.
Zero nodded and trotted away from the drunken unicorn. “Please, just leave me alone.”
His eyes widened and he swallowed hard. “I… um, I…” he slowly transformed and took her hoof in his paw. She kept smiling at him as he stood up.
“You didn’t need help up.” She giggled. “Are you Paradox?”
He nodded and still had her hoof in his paw. “Did anyone tell you that you look beautiful?”
Zero trotted towards the other side of the training field, didn’t notice anything going on around him as he approached the tree at the far end. He sat down on the bench next to the old willow tree.
She landed softly near the old willow. Her wings folded gently and silently as she looked at Zero who was sitting on the bench facing away from her.
Paradox felt stupid at what he said to the mare, but he wasn’t lying and the mare was still there smiling at him. “What is your name?”
“Silver.” she said as she looked at his beautiful blue eyes. “You don’t remember me?”
He shook his head as he just stared at her. “I am sorry I don’t, but I would love to make new memories of you.”
Zero was irritated. He wanted to be alone but even being alone there was always some pony else there. He wanted to tell the other pony to beat it and leave him be so he looked up with a frown on his face and a bitter retort on his lips when his eyes widened to see Lilly staring at him.
“You wanted to say something?” Lilly asked him, a smile on her face.
“My Lady.” he jumped up and bowed to her.
Lilly chuckled. “Do friends really bow to one another?”
He looked up. “I… don’t think so.” He stood up and looked at her.
She stood up also and walked to him. “You looked so sad and angry; what is wrong?”
Zero looked at his hooves. “I am angry because the other guards keep making me angry I wanted, no, I needed to get away from them. You were gone too, might be the reason why I was sad. I missed you.” He blushed. “You’re back now and I feel a little better.”
“Zero…” she whispered. “I wasn’t planning on coming back as soon as I did. I still have to leave to find my aunt Misery, but I had to return.”
“So you’re leaving again? Why did you come back? Did you forget something?” He looked at her crimson eyes.
Lilly nodded. “I forgot something very important.”
Silver giggled at his wit and she went over to him and smiled more. “Dox, I really like you, I’ve liked you when Lilly and I would play and you’d just be there.” Her blue cheeks highlighted with a blush. “I wanted to tell you then, but you liked another filly and I…” she looked down at her hooves.
“You don’t think I look like a monster do you?” He asked suddenly.
Silver looked at him in shock. “No? Why would you ask that?”
Silver hugged him back; a little confused. “You’re welcome?”
Lilly leaned up against Zero and gave him a hug. “I forgot my heart here.”
Zero swallowed hard when she said that and he hugged her back. “You mean?”
“I mean that you are my heart and I need you with me.” She whispered softly as she let him go from the hug. “Unless you don’t want to be with me.”
“I… I want to be with you Lilly. I want to be a part of your life.” They kissed under the willow tree.
Paradox stepped back from the hug and blushed. “I’m sorry it’s just… I remember you… You’re Aunt Rainbow Dash’s daughter.”
“Yes. Rainbow Dash is my mom, but, I am an adult Dox, so are you…” She smiled shyly at him.
Paradox blinked as the urge rose within him and he couldn’t help himself as he pulled Silver to him; kissing her soft lips tenderly. Silver was surprised by the kiss but thoroughly melted in his arms as he rubbed his tongue up into her mouth entwining with her own tongue and they kissed deeply as her wings spread out and quivered.
Paradox yawned as he tried to roll over in bed but he couldn’t when he realized Silver Dash was snuggled up against him in his bed. The night before was a blur but he did remember it all. He remembered that he had an overwhelming desire to kiss her in which he did, he thinks back at the night:
Paradox and Silver kissed deeply and he reluctantly pulled from it as he looked into her eyes, she had silver eyes flecked with magenta. “Silver, I would love you to be my mate, please.” He whispered to her his cheeks red with a blush.
“I would love to be with you.” She blushed as well as she looked into his clear blue eyes.
She gasped suddenly when he picked her up in his strong arms she looked around as her chest fluttered with excitement at being with Paradox, the one she had always loved. “Let me take you to my room.” They had disappeared and reappeared up in his room he placed Silver on his bed and kneeled next to her to look and admire her.
“Paradox?” She said to him unsure as to why he just stared at her.
“You’re a dream, and I fear I may awaken to find you gone.” He whispered to her and smiled shyly.
Silver blushed as she slowly placed her hooves on his paws. “I will stay with you for as long as you want me to.”
He smiled at her as he moved up and kissed her gently. “Stay with me forever.”
Silver felt her heart beating heavily as he kissed her; she moved her hooves up against his chest as he slowly joined her on the bed. “I will stay with you forever.”Paradox hugged Silver to him, gently caressing her and rubbing her feathers and wings. They talked for a long time, kissed one another tenderly and it was during one of these kissing sessions that they did a little more.
“I’m so nervous.” Silver said shakily as she looked up at him. “Please be gentle.”
“I’ll try, I never done this before.” He blushed as he rubbed himself against her slick entrance and he bit on his bottom lip as he pushed into her. “Oh… uh…”
Silver moaned out at the feel of him spreading her and pushing in to her. “Oh Dox, oh…”
He felt her virgin barrier and he gritted his teeth. “I’m sorry.” he murmured as he thrust roughly into her breaking her barrier and then moving smoothly past it. “I hope I didn’t hurt you too much.” He panted.
“Ah!” She shuddered under him her wings quivered at the feel of him pushing into her deeply.
He leaned against her as he pushed in feeling her muscles contract and ripple around him. “Oh Silver, you feel so good.” He moaned as he started to push and pull within her; he nuzzled through her silver and gold mane taking in her scent.
She panted from the feel of him her body shaking in pleasure as they mated. “Dox… oh please, please…” She moaned softly as her muscles rippled around him in orgasmic pleasure. “Oh… yes!”
“I cannot…” he moaned out. They moved together and he started to place his paws on her shoulders and he flexed his claws as he started to feel his orgasm build up as he felt her own fluids flow around his shaft. “Ah… Silver!” He growled as he pushed deeply into her letting his own orgasm join hers as he released his seed deep inside of her. He thrust in a couple more times reveling in the feel of her muscles rippling and squeezing him as if wanting every bit of him inside of her. He panted as he slowly slipped out of her as he kissed along her mane and pulled her to him. “I love you. Silver.” He confessed.
“Paradox, you made me a very happy mare. I love you too.” Silver Dash nuzzled him as she settled next to him in his bed. He put his paw over her shoulder as they both fell asleep together.
As he thought about last night he felt Silver stir against him.
Silver Dash yawned, stretched and looked at Paradox as she smiled at him. “Good morning.”
“Good morning, I thought it was all a dream but you’re still here. Unless I’m still dreaming.” He whispered as he put his paw through her mane.
“You’re not dreaming.” Silver muttered as she nuzzled his neck. “I’ll have to leave soon though; I have a job to do.”
“Aww, no. I’m Lord Paradox, you can stay.”
“Dox, my job is to protect your mother; it would be bad if I didn’t do my duty. And I love hanging out with aunt Fluttershy.”
He smiled. “Okay, then I will hang out with mom all day so I can be close to you.” He grinned at her.
“So you want to tell your mother about us?” Silver asked.
Paradox’s eyes widened. “I… um… sure.” He smiled nervously. “You think she’d be okay with that?”
Lilly and Zero kissed under the willow tree and he pulled from the kiss reluctantly. “So where do we go from here?” he asked.
Lilly looked around and suddenly saw something across the field. She saw her brother picking a pony up? She blinked again and looked at Zero. “We go to my room.” she whispered. She put her hoof over him and clicked her tongue.
They were in her room. “I’m not going to ask you for anything.” Lilly stated as she walked to her bed, crawled in it and leaned back pulling her pillows around her.
Zero grinned as he approached her, “Nothing?” he asked.
He slowly got on her bed and looked into her eyes as he pulled pillows away from her. “If it is up to me …” he moved over to her “I’d just love to kiss and talk to you, get to know you more. You stole my heart, but we don’t know a lot about each other.”
She nodded as she watched him. “You can tell me about yourself. Unless you want to know more about me?”
“I’m rather boring. Tell me about your childhood Lilly.”
Lilly smiled. “My childhood,” she paused. “Thinking in the fact that my father is Discord, it was actually a pretty normal childhood. My mother has a lot of love, caring and understanding. It rubbed off on father and he loves us a lot. He says we are not villains, but having taken over Canterlot makes others think we are.”
He shook his head, “Luna is still in power, you and your family are more likely stewards than dictators.” Zero stated.
“I agree. I was the main catalyst in the banishment of corrupted Celestia.” She shifted uncomfortably on her bed as she moved over to have him settle next to her. “If I didn’t do what I did, Canterlot wouldn’t be here.” She smiled when he relaxed next to her on the bed. She leaned against him. “Back to your original question, Paradox and I are twins, we may not look it, but we are. He and I have a connection to one another. We were taught magic from our father and caring from our mother. We had our mother’s friends around often who were cheerful and always willing to help out.” She quieted down as she nuzzled Zero.
“So, it is true that Fluttershy tamed the Lord of Chaos?”
“Do you think it is wise to talk about your future in laws in that way?” she asked.
Zero gulped suddenly as he looked at her. “I never thought of it that way.”
“Our union up in the study. You know the one.” She said softly.
Zero nodded as he remembered her telling him to mount her and how good she felt, he suddenly got aroused as he thought of it. “Oh yes.” He grinned.
“It seems I was in season at the time; you are going to be a father.” She stated.
Zero blinked as the news sunk in. “I, but it was our first time.”
She smirked. “It only takes once. Father said he knew when Dox and I were conceived, it was the second time he and mother ever mated.”
“Don’t you find it odd that your father would tell you that?” Zero asked.
“No. Can you tell me a little about yourself?” she asked suddenly as if the news of her pregnancy wasn’t a big deal.
“You know that I was just your guard. I grew up outside of Canterlot my father was a farmer, mother was a great cook. I wanted to be more than a farmer, so when my cutie mark appeared after I saved my little sister from drowning, I knew my calling was to protect.” He looked at his cutie mark which was a plain gold shield on his flank. “I joined the ranks of the guards here in Canterlot, the odd one though since I’m just a mere earth pony. All the others are unicorns and Pegasus, but I made my way through the ranks to become one of the elite. Only to be fired by you.”
She laughed. “I don’t know how father found out about you. He made me fire you and I know why.” She moved her tail around him slowly.
“Why?” He asked.
“Because he knew it before I did, he knew I was in love.” Lilly blushed. “Ever since we mated all I thought about was finding the time to be alone with you. You were always on my mind and I saw you every day. Everyday standing there. Everyday being there to do what I ask of you. I wanted you. I needed to be held by you.” she pulled a pillow toward her and he pushed the pillow from her hooves and gave her a kiss. They kissed softly at first; his lips pressing gently with hers then slowly and firmly. She moved her tongue out slightly and he pushed more until his tongue invaded her mouth. The struggle of tongues as they fought to control the mouth one wrapping around the other in a passionate erotic kiss. She sighed as he kissed her passionately her body surrendering to his as he moved up against her. She moved her tail granting him what they both desired. He released her tongue and mouth as he moved over her body to rub his hard need up against her hot desire.
Zero pushed into her and he felt himself instantly in euphoria, she was as tight as before and he just loved the feel of her surrounding him. “Lilly… you are gorgeous.” he moaned as he slowly pushed deep into her; reveling in her heat and feel, losing himself within her.
Lilly gasped as he pushed deeply and she purred with the feel of him spreading her and filling her with his girth again. She let herself get lost in the sensation of him deep inside of her and her body vibrated with her desire. “Ah… love me…”
He moaned as he started to mate with her again, slowly as if to savor every bit of her and then a little faster as his cock started to throb and swell beyond what he could handle. He held back when he heard her mutter her need for love. “Lilly… I love you.” he replied as he felt his heart clench with the confession as his body ached for release.
Lilly felt tears escape her eyes as he told her he loved her and she panted from the feel of him pushing into her. Her body started to quake as he rubbed himself up against her need and she let out a gasp as her muscles tightened and fluttered in orgasmic pleasure. “Ooh Zero yes. I love you too.”
Zero gasped as she muttered those words and he couldn’t hold back as he flooded her with his own hot desire. He pushed as deep as he could and let himself flood and fill her. His body vibrating as his final deep thrusts delivered his need into her. “Thank you, Lilly for choosing me.” He whispered as he kept himself buried within and he nibbled her neck tenderly and lovingly.
Lilly and Zero spent the rest of the night together. She hadn’t told any of her family she had returned and she snuggled up against Zero. “I’m a bad daughter.”
Zero opened his eyes. “Why would you say that?”
“I returned without telling my family. I only thought of being with you.” She sighed as she looked up at him. “What should I do? Should I tell them or leave without them knowing I came back?”
Zero shrugged as he looked at her. “It’s all up to you my lovely.”
Lilly sat up and looked at him. “Let’s go.”
Zero looked at her confused. “Go? Where? How? If you didn’t notice I’m just an earth pony.”
Lilly grinned almost evilly; she licked her lips; as she did so Zero was watching her little tongue moving along her soft lips. Then she made a click with her tongue and Zero suddenly felt a tingle run along his spine and he looked at her. “What did you do?” He asked her.
Lilly kept grinning as she looked at him. “Oh if you don’t notice in a few moments I will tell you.”
He still lay back and shifted a little. “How come I itch suddenly?” He sat up as he suddenly had a great urge to scratch his back. His wings spread out as he tried to scratch his back. He suddenly stopped and looked at his… wings? “What? Lilly…”
Lilly grinned at him. “What is wrong?”
“Lilly, you gave me wings… I don’t know how to use them.” He moved one wing and it made him fall to the side. “Can you, turn me back?”
“What?” Zero gasped as he stumbled out of bed with his wings waving a bit erratic. “But, I… Lilly I don’t even know how to fold them to put them against my body!”
Lilly approached him as she tilted her head slightly. “Look at my wings.” She stretched out her bat wings, showing the bone structure of them. “The bones know where to go… just relax them and they fold naturally.”
Zero folded his wings slowly and winced at the feeling. “Hey, it’s not that hard.” He then spread his wings out. “Wait a minute… Lilly, I’m too heavy to be a Pegasus.”
“You think I do half magic? I used chaotic magic on you; it usually does what is necessary.” She pushed him with her hip. “Now flap those wings of yours like me.” She flapped hers and she easily lifted off the floor.
Zero looked at her doubtfully as he spread out his wings and flapped them opposite of one another and he fell over onto the floor.
Lilly tried not to laugh as she helped him up again. “You are a soldier and a guard you know that you have to be organized and structured, think of your wings as part of a whole and flap them together.”
“You are tougher than the Captain of the Guard.” He muttered as he started to flap his wings in unison. He then was surprised how he suddenly lifted off the floor. “I can fly.” He said in shock.
“Of course you can.” Lilly giggled. “So are you ready to come with me to the gryphon kingdom to find my aunt?”
Zero stretched out his wings. “Alright, but are you sure you want to drag me along?”
“I’m sure.” Lilly smiled and gave him a kiss. “We’ll tell my family.”
“You are going to tell Lord Discord about us now?”
She smiled at him. “Yes. He needs to know that I am with some pony that can protect me.”
Fluttershy smiled when Paradox decided to join her while she went shopping for new yarn. “Dox, why the sudden interest in what I do?”
“Mom, can’t I hang out with you without being interrogated?” He asked as he put his paws behind his back as he walked around the yarn store. Silver stood near the entrance of the store being unemotional and stoic.
“I wasn’t interrogating you.” Fluttershy said as she looked at some green yarn.
Paradox smiled at his mother as he walked back to the front of the store, he looked at Silver and noticed that she was looking straight ahead with no emotion. He glanced around, noticing no one was watching he leaned down and kissed her lips softly.
Silver looked at him as he kissed her and her wings popped up suddenly. “Dox… stop… please.” she whispered to him. “I don’t want to get into trouble.”
“Okay,” he said as he walked away casually as he rubbed his chin where his goatee was growing. He had a grin on his face after he licked his lips.
He took them from her. “So, mom what would you say if I… um… found my mate?”
Fluttershy looked up from her browsing. “Oh Doxy, when have you had the time to find a mate?” She asked. “If you did though, I am sure she’d be a very lucky girl. You are like your father in so many ways.”
Paradox was blushing. “I did find a mate.”
Fluttershy looked at him. “Oh? When can I meet her?”
Silver’s ear twitched as she tried to listen in, she heard Paradox say, “Soon, I want to talk to her again and see what she would like to do.”
“Okay Doxy.” Fluttershy smiled. “When I was younger I never thought I’d ever be a proud mother of three beautiful intelligent children.”
“Mom…” Paradox muttered as he blushed.
Fluttershy bought the yarn and they started to walk out of the shop. “Come on, we have a lunch date with one of my friends.” Fluttershy said cheerfully. Silver nodded curtly as she followed them looking warily around. Paradox was impressed by how seriously his mate took her job.
“Who are we having lunch with mom?” Paradox asked as he walked beside his mother, he kept looking at Silver, but she was looking at any potential threat to Fluttershy.
“Rainbow Dash.” Fluttershy said. Paradox stopped in mid stride. Silver walked past him and smirked as she brushed his paw with one of her wings.
“I… um…” his mind raced. Then he took in a deep breath. “That is great.” he caught up to them. “I haven’t seen Rainbow Dash in forever and a day.” He continued hoping he didn’t sound nervous.
“Are you sure it’s okay Lady Fluttershy if I join you, mother and Paradox for lunch?” Silver asked.
Fluttershy looked at Silver Dash. “I insist. It would be odd to have you stand while your mother sits and eats.”
They arrived at the restaurant and were seated outside. Paradox sat across from Silver and Fluttershy sat down and looked up to wait for Rainbow Dash to arrive.
Silver had taken her helmet off and she looked at Paradox as he fidgeted in his seat nervously. She noticed him glance at her then over at his mother. Slowly he looked at his mother opened his mouth to tell her when Rainbow Dash landed next to him. “Hey, sorry I’m late.” She smiled as she walked over to her seat and sat down. She saw her daughter. “Hey Silver! What is new? My little girl so grown up.” She said proudly as she ruffled Silver’s mane with her hoof.
“Mom, geez, I’m an adult.” Silver smoothed her mane again. “And I have a mate now.” She blurted out.
Rainbow Dash looked at her daughter. “What?”
Rainbow Dash slowly turned and looked suspiciously at Paradox. “Oh… that is nice to know Fluttershy. Silver, who is your mate?” She asked while staring at Paradox.
Paradox was sweating under Rainbow Dash’s glare but he tried to act casual as he found the flower on the table was suddenly very interesting.
“Mom, really I rather you look at me while asking questions.” Silver stated as she folded her arms.
Rainbow Dash chuckled and nodded as she looked away from Paradox. “Yes, I’m sorry, so who is this mystery stallion?”
Silver grinned as she looked at Paradox and saw his eyes widen in a panic. “He’s right across from me.”
Both Fluttershy and Rainbow looked at Paradox at the same time. He blushed then put his head on the table with a loud thump. “I’m dead.”
Rainbow Dash started to laugh. “That is hilarious Silver. Come on tell me who it is?”
“It’s Paradox.” Silver said blushing at her mother.
“Doxy? Is Silver your mate?” Fluttershy asked him placing her hoof on his mane and petting him.
Paradox nodded as he kept his face hidden. “Yes, I love Silver… She is my heart.” He muttered into the table.
“Oh thank Celestia!” Rainbow Dash said in relief. “And here I thought she’d found some bone headed loser.”
“What?!” Paradox said as he sat up right away looking at Rainbow Dash in confusion.
Rainbow smiled at him. “Dox, you are perfect for Silver! Awesome! That means I am so going to get grandkids!”
“MOTHER!” Silver said as she blushed deeply and covered her face with her hooves.
Fluttershy sighed happily at her son. “Your father will be so happy to know this Dox.”

Lilly walked into the throne room with Zero following behind her. Discord sat up at seeing Lilly and her old guard.
Discord asked. “Lilly, I thought you left yesterday?”
“Yeah, well… I had to come back. I had to… take Zero with me.” She blushed.
Discord looked at Zero. “I see.” He then looked at Lilly. “Why do you think that I would be happy with letting him accompany you in this quest for discovery?”
“Because… I love him and he can protect me.” Lilly shuffled her hoof as she blushed.
Discord’s eyebrow went up and he looked at Zero. “I have a question for you.”
Zero saluted. “Yes sir?”
“Fine, go together. Just please… be careful. I don’t want to go back into the Gryphon Kingdom looking for you. Feathers on my neck gives me hives.” He scratched his neck. “Oh, and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. On second thought; don’t do anything I would do too.”
LillyRose was panting hard as she landed just on the outskirts of the gryphon kingdom. She looked up in the sky and didn’t see Zero so she extended her wings again and was going to try and retrace her steps to finding him. When he came into her sights, he erratically flew down to her and landed on his face. She trotted over to him and helped him up.
“I am terribly sorry, I didn’t mean for us to fly that long of a way.” She still panted as she relaxed her wings.
“Lilly, I never knew that flying was so difficult.” Zero was sweating and panting. He looked at the grass in the clearing she found and he trotted over to it and flung himself on the cool green blades and started to roll around. “Ah!”
Lilly smiled as she walked over to him and watched as he rolled. She looked around and then slowly settled on the grass, but just sat there. “I’m still sorry we flew so long, that is quite a work out for a first time flyer like you.”
Zero looked up from rolling on the grass. “It’s ok Lilly, I went through rough training. I’m used to this.” He looked at her as she curled her long tail around her as she settled on the grass calmly.
She acted regally as she looked at him. “You are such a male.” She muttered then she looked up suddenly when she saw a couple shadows move along the ground. “Oh! Gryphons! We need disguises.” She clicked her tongue and Zero gasped when he looked at his hooves to see claws. She looked like a gryphon as well, a very good looking one.
“Please Lilly don’t tell me this is permanent.” He whispered as he saw them start to circle as if they were preparing to land.
“It’s an illusion.” She whispered as one of the gryphons landed and walked towards them.
“Hey, what are you two doing out here?” He asked.
“We were just resting.” Zero stated as he stood up. “We are on our way to visit a friend.”
Lilly stood up and stretched. She flapped her feathered wings catching the attention of the gryphon. He looked at her and grinned she returned the smile slightly. “It would be nice if you’d let us go on our way. I have to see a dear friend of mine who is very ill.”
Zero blinked at the way Lilly held herself as if she was used to gryphon protocol. She ruffled up her feathers as she moved closer to the gryphon. Zero started to frown and felt jealousy well up inside.
The second gryphon landed and moved fast up to Zero getting in his face. Zero noticed that it was a female. “Carl, I don’t trust them. They smell like they hang out with ponies.” She had dark feathers framing her face and her eyes were greenish yellow, her beak looked harsh and sharp.
“Bianca, just chill. Can’t you see I’m talking to this hot number here?” Carl stated and looked back at Lilly. “So visiting a sick friend?” He asked.
Lilly looked at him and frowned. “Yes, and please get away from me. I already have a mate for life.”
Carl looked at her claws and smiled wide. “You don’t have a ring, what mate doesn’t get his hot gal a ring?”
Zero let out a very loud snort. “One that hasn’t married her yet.” He side stepped the female gryphon and charged at the larger gryphon.
“Stop.” Lilly grumbled and clicked her tongue. All of them froze in place. “Carl, not all gryphon gals are objects. Zero aww, you got jealous, love you. And you, Bianca… don’t go around smelling boys; that is gross. You don’t know where they’ve been.”
Zero looked at her as she walked over to him. “Come on love.” She said as she touched his muzzle and he unfroze. They both stretched out their wings, she let Zero fly off first as she looked at the two gryphons. “In about an hour, the paralysis spell will wear off. I learned it from a basilisk.” She jumped up into the sky and flew up following Zero.
Zero sighed as she joined him. “I wish those hadn’t butted in just then.”
Lilly looked at him. “Oh? Why is that?”
“I wanted to mate with you on that grass.” He smiled.
“Oh? Hmm… what makes you think I was in the mood for mating?” She asked.
Zero shrugged but flew around her. “I don’t know. Did you know that you look great as a gryphon?”
“So it seems.” Lilly stated. “You look rather small by gryphon male standards.”
Zero blinked. “What? Really, oh man. What a way to make me feel inadequate. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” she grinned at him. “While in the Gryphon Kingdom let’s get married.”
“Wait! What?” He asked.
“Let’s get married.” She smiled as she watched him.
“That is what I thought you said… Your father would kill me.”
Lilly giggled at that. “He hasn’t killed you yet.”
“Yeah, well I think he is just biding his time…” Zero swallowed hard.
Discord had put the sun down again as he did so he stretched and walked slowly into the bedroom. Fluttershy wasn’t in bed yet and he wasn’t sure why. He fell onto the bed face first and scooted on better, wrapping himself in the blankets. He was about to drift off to sleep when he heard something odd in the other room. His ears perked up when he heard Fluttershy crying? He quickly jumped out of bed and looked into the other room.
Fluttershy was lying on the couch looking at something in a box. She was crying lightly as she looked in it. Her ear twitched when she heard him enter the room and she quickly closed the box.
“Fluttershy? What is wrong my dear?” He asked as he approached trying to ignore the box she had.
She moved her hoof over her face. “Nothing is wrong.” She whispered. “I was um going to put this on the shelf.” She got up and walked to the book shelf and placed the box on it. “I had no idea it was this late. Let’s go to bed.”
He watched her as she walked by him. He reached out and put his fingers through her mane as she walked by. “Fluttershy, why were you crying?”
She blinked at the question. “Oh, umm no reason. I’m just tired I guess.” She continued in the bedroom and he followed her after glancing at the box one last time.
They curled up together in bed and fell asleep. It was in the middle of the night when Discord’s curiosity got the better of him. He sat up in bed and looked at Fluttershy sleeping soundly, her mane a beautiful mess upon the pillow. He admired her for a moment then slowly slinked out of bed.
He walked into the other room and saw the box on the shelf and he summoned it to his claw. He hesitated in opening it for just a moment not sure what to expect when he did.
Fluttershy awoke and noticed that he wasn’t in bed with her. She flapped her wings tiredly and got up out of bed. She slowly went into the other room and gasped when she saw he had the box in his hand.
He looked at her when he heard her gasp. “Explain this.” He placed the box in front of him on the table.
“You opened it?” She asked; then shook her head. “You didn’t open it. I can tell.”
Discord blinked. “What’s in it?”
She smiled. “Nothing is in it. Although, something used to be, it’s empty now.”
“Empty?” He turned the box toward him and slowly opened the lid.
“Told you. Empty.” She stated.
“Yes, but not quite.” He held the box up and sniffed it. “Smells like herbals.” he then gasped. “Fluttershy! Why?”
She suddenly blushed. “Because… I umm… it was Epona’s idea.” She squeaked.
He started to chuckle. “It’s quite alright my dear. I already knew you had been taking something. I think we can get you more if you really want to.”
“You’re not angry?” Fluttershy asked.
He shook his head. “No, of course not, although, I guess we’ll have to stop having some bedroom follies until we get you more herbs.”
She looked at him with her eyes wide. “But… um… I start my estrus tomorrow and you… cannot…”
“I have you know, I can resist the temptation.” He smiled with a slight twitch of his eye.
“Um… sure you can.” Fluttershy answered. “I guess we can go back to bed.”
Discord’s eyes flew open in the morning he went to sit up but Fluttershy was curled up next to him with her arms around his neck. He smiled as he reached up and removed her arm from his neck. She made a slight moan and rolled over. Looking at her he suddenly felt aroused and he wanted to… no, he can control himself. He jumped out of bed and stretched getting all the kinks from his body.
“All work, no play…” He whispered as he walked out to the balcony of the castle.
Luna flew down and landed on her balcony across the commons. She waved to him giving the signal that she was ready to retire for the day.
Letting out a loud yawn he lifted his arms and made the sun rise. Then colored the sky a light purple with blue and green polka dots. “A lovely day if I do say so myself.” He leaned back and floated back into the bedroom. Fluttershy was still in bed and he looked at her and thought, ‘just a little cuddle won’t hurt.’ He slinked back into bed and curled up against her. She was warm and he moved his arms around her waist as he nibbled the back of her neck.
“Mm Discord.” She sighed in her sleep. “I like that.”
Discord kept nibbling and kissing her neck as he grew aroused. ‘Just a little bit of rubbing won’t hurt.’ He kissed her slowly as he started to rub his arousal up against her soft folds. She was wet and warm and he wanted her so badly.
Fluttershy let out a soft moan as she felt him against her, felt him rubbing his arousal up and down over her heat. “Oh.” Her eyes fluttered open.
Discord nibbled her neck more as he moved his hips and he slid his tip of his arousal into her folds. “Ah yes…” He whispered as he pushed into her deeper.
Fluttershy gasped as he pushed into her and she was instantly in euphoria. “Oh. Discord. You feel so good.” She moaned.
“Yes, I just cannot help myself.” He moaned as he started to make love to her slowly moving his hips as he pushed deeply into her.
She shuddered in pleasure as they moved together in the bed, their bodies knew the way. She gasped when her orgasm washed over her and she tightened her muscles around him. “Ah! Please…” She panted out.
He grunted as he pushed in and out of her and feeling her orgasm around him made him become harder as he pushed deeper into her. He put his paw and claw around her waist as he started to thrust faster and deeper into her. “Fluttershy, I’m coming.” He whispered to her.
“Ah! Discord yes, please.” She moaned out loudly as her body shook from pleasure.
He bit down on his bottom lip as he pushed in deeply and released himself into her tightness. He bucked up into her several more times delivering a gush of his hot seed into her with each thrust. “I guess I cannot resist temptation.” He muttered as he kept himself buried in her as he kissed the back of her neck.
She sighed deeply. “Yes, but you feel so good.” she said softly.
“Fluttershy, you are like an addiction, but I don’t want the cure.” He held her close as he slowly pulled from her. “So silky and smooth.” He murmured.
She yawned. “I think your way of waking me up is better than any alarm clock.”
Discord grinned. “It is a good thing I’m an early riser.”
“In more ways than one.” She giggled.
Discord laughed. “I love you.” he said as he nuzzled her.
“I love you too.” She blushed.
He let her go, stretched and gave her a kiss. “A ruler’s work is never done my love. Let’s go get cleaned up and get some breakfast.”
A few days later.
Fluttershy shook her head as she looked at the box that she kept her tea and other herbs to keep from getting pregnant and sighed at how empty it was. “I guess I’ll be alright.”
There was a knock on the door. “Come in.”
“Mom?” Paradox asked as he peeked into the room.
Fluttershy smiled. “Dox! Come in please.” She was so happy her son came to see her.
“No, I’m just starting to get ready to go for a stroll outside.” She smiled lightly as she pushed the box further on the table. “Do you want to join me? Silver would love the company too.”
Paradox shuffled his feet. “That is why I’m here.” He sat down opposite Fluttershy then looked around nervously. “I want to ask her to marry me.” He whispered.
Fluttershy blinked. “Oh Doxy!” she smiled. “How are you going to ask?”
“I’m not sure, I want it to be special.” he fidgeted.
“Your father asked me on the night I was going to tell my friends that I was pregnant with you and Lilly.” She suddenly blushed. “I was so shocked I couldn’t speak. You know how he is; he made a huge production of it.” She smiled thinking back on it.
“I haven’t told Dad yet. Should I?” He looked nervous just speaking of it.
“Dox, you really shouldn’t worry, you’re very creative and I am sure you will be able to come up with a way to ask her. It’s not your father you should be worried about though. Silver is Rainbow Dash’s daughter, you’ll have to ask her if it is okay for you to marry Silver.”
His eyes widened. “Ask Rainbow Dash? Mom… you’re her friend can you ask for me?”
Fluttershy looked at him. “No Dox. You’ll have to.”
Paradox gave a sigh. “How am I going to ask her? This is getting complicated.”
“It’s only as complicated as you make it out to be.” Fluttershy smiled.
“How did Dad ask your family?”
“Oh, well Doxy, my family… um… my parents are no longer alive.” She whispered sadly.
“Oh! Oh so that is why Lilly and I don’t have grandparents. I’m sorry Mom, I forgot about that.” Paradox felt very awkward. “I have a lot to think about.”
“Are you going to join me on that walk?” Fluttershy asked.
He smiled at his mother. “Okay.”
After Paradox walked with Fluttershy she asked him to walk her to the throne room, she thought that maybe if she just sat with her husband for a while she would give Paradox time to be alone with Silver Dash.
“Fluttershy! My sweetness!” Discord said cheerfully as he patted her small throne next to him. “Come sit and keep me company.”
“Okay, but don’t give me too much attention.” She whispered as she walked over to her throne and sat down. She looked around and noticed that the throne room was empty beside the few guards standing close by. “Where is every pony?”
Discord shrugged. “Oh, it’s one of those quiet days.” He sat back in his throne then sat up again as a pony walked into the room.
One of the guards stepped forward. “State your business.”
The pony was an earth pony with a light gray coat and a cutie mark that resembled hay bales and he looked older than the ponies that Discord had seen lately. “Um Lord Chaos, I’m Hearty Clash a simple farmer on the outskirts of Canterlot and I have been having a problem with mice eating my crops. I was wondering if there was a safe way to get rid of them.”
Discord thought about it for a moment, but Fluttershy spoke up before he said anything. “Mice are very particular and they seem to latch on with what they like. Maybe you should plant a different crop next year and then rotate the crops and maybe the mice will stop eating into your profits. If that doesn’t work, I will give them a talking to myself and ask them politely to leave your plants alone.”
Hearty blinked and bowed. “Oh, thank you. I will try that.” He then cleared his throat again. “I was also wondering… My son… he works here at the castle… I was wondering if he could have some time off to spend with me.”
Discord blinked. “Well. I don’t see why not. What’s your son’s name?”
“Zero Clash.” The farmer said quietly.
Fluttershy looked at Discord quickly.
“Ah yes, Zero…” Discord muttered. “A fine young stallion. I’m sorry. Zero is not here.”
Hearty looked at him in shock. “Are you sure? My son is very dedicated to his work.”
“Dedicated… hmmm yes… well…” Discord muttered and Fluttershy noticed that he was digging his claws into the wood of his throne.
She spoke up again as she got up. “Mr. um… Clash. Sorry to say something again, but… you see, right now Zero has gone on assignment with Lady Chaos, our daughter, and we don’t know when he will be back. I will though, let him know when he returns that he needs to visit his family soon.” She steered the earth pony away from Discord and was walking with him towards the door. “I really would love to meet your family sometime soon too. Sorry that you had come all this way to see him only to be turned away. Don’t be upset, Zero is quite safe with our daughter.”
“Thank you Lady Fluttershy.” Zero’s father replied as he trotted away.
She trotted back up to her throne and sat down and stared at her husband. “Discord… why did you act like that?”
Discord’s eyes narrowed. “His son… violated my double flower.”
She shook her head. “Two consenting adults… having sex.”
“Yes, and one is my daughter.” Discord mumbled.
“Discord, it wasn’t Zero’s father’s fault. I am sure he’d be the same way if he had a daughter. Besides, I don’t think he knows that he and Lilly are a couple now.” Fluttershy smiled.
“Okay Fluttershy I guess I’ll give it a rest until they get home. Wherever they are. I bet they are doing something that they shouldn’t be doing.” He grumped.
She looked at him. “Cheer up.”
He looked over at her. “Why Fluttershy? One of our daughters is just about to have a baby, and the other is somewhere Luna knows where with her boyfriend! Our son had just gotten out of being terribly ill to falling head over heels for some pony he had ignored for years… What more can go wrong I ask you?”
“I’m pregnant.” Fluttershy said suddenly.
He sat up. “Fluttershy, you have played this trick on me before… Are you doing it again?”
She looked at him. “What do you think?”
He looked around and saw the guards standing stoically and he leaned over to her placing his paw and claw on her stomach as he closed his eyes. He slowly rubbed her fur spreading his fingers through the softness. His eyes opened fast as he looked up at her face. “We’re pregnant again.”
She nodded at him as she smiled shyly. “Yes.”
“Fluttershy, I don’t count that as something going wrong.” He couldn’t help but smile. “You have cheered me up exponentially.” He looked around. “Oh! I’ve got to tell someone the news…” He jumped up off his throne and ran over to one of the guards. “MY WIFE IS PREGNANT!!” He shook him on his shoulders.
The guard blinked in surprise. “Uh, congratulations Sir.”
“Thank you!” Discord went back over to Fluttershy and kissed her. “I love you Fluttershy.”
Fluttershy blushed as she smiled at him. “I love you too.”
Lilly put her claw through her gryphon plumage and looked at the leader of the gryphon clan. They had come upon a gryphon clan on the outskirts of the gryphon kingdom. The clan that Zero and she came to was friendly and welcomed them. They were able to become friends with the leader quickly, because his eldest son was having a bit of a relationship problem. LillyRose was able to solve it easily, by just telling him to be himself.
“Are you sure that if we marry here, it will be binding everywhere?” She asked the leader. The leader was a gray gryphon with gray eyes. He had a scar on one cheek where he had fought for leadership of his clan years ago.
“Oh Yes, LillyRose.” He winked at her. “Even in the pony lands this marriage will be binding.”
He laughed. “Of course. I guess that Zero would like to know this plan as well?”
She giggled. “Yeah, I guess so.”
“I’ll have my son tell him. You and my daughters shall stay in. He shall not see you until the day you and he exchange your vows.” Bleak Claw announced.
She blinked. “What? I didn’t know that…” Lilly started to fluff up her feathers.
“Don’t ruffle your feathers so. It will be fine daughter of chaos.” Bleak Claw winked to her. “I am glad you were honest with me, but as clan tradition… you shall not see your chosen mate until you say I do. We are going by gryphon clan tradition.”
“Why must I be blind folded?” Zero asked nervously. “These gryphon clan traditions are quite unusual.”
Bleak Claw’s son Falco laughed. “It’s okay; we all have to wear the blind fold when we marry. This represents that you are blind in soul before finding your mate for life.”
Zero tried to see beyond his blind fold, and really felt like it was a dumb idea. He also was afraid they’d dupe him into marrying the wrong girl. “I don’t know.”
“Don’t you worry Lilly has to wear a blind fold too.” Falco said. “Now come, grab my tail and follow me.”
He reached out with his claw and found the other gryphon’s tail and held on to it. ‘Weird being able to hold things.’ He caught himself thinking. Falco lead him through the clan village and the other gryphons watched, some clapped, some cheered and a couple made a loud scree noise.
“This is so odd.” Zero stated.
“Its tradition, I am hoping I shall have this traditional walk sometime soon.” Falco stated. “We have arrived. Good luck my friend.” Falco patted Zero on his flank and pushed him over to a spot.
“You look to be a little nervous?” Falco’s father said.
“I cannot see a thing. Of course I’m nervous.” Zero stated as he blinked under the blind fold.
“Ah, here is the bride.” Bleak Claw announced.
Zero’s ears perked up as he heard some pony crying and snuffling. It wasn’t Lilly, but some pony else. “So proud of her…” was all that Zero could hear.
“Let it be known that these two wish to be bound together with the sacrament of marriage. Two young ones, forever life mates.” Zero felt Bleak Claw grab his claw and place it into Lilly’s paw.
“LillyRose and Zero Clash, two lost souls, finding one another from within darkness. “Remove your blind folds and look upon your mate for life.”
They both took off their blind folds and Zero stared at her. She was blushing and staring back, she looked really beautiful as a gryphon.
“As you see your life mate and you have only eyes for one another, as I can see here. Then you are married.” Bleak Claw bowed. “Kiss one another and give your rings.”
They kissed; a long lingering one and Zero placed a ring on Lilly’s finger, she did the same. “I love you.” Zero said.
“I love you.” Lilly blushed.
“Good, now let’s celebrate!” Bleak Claw shouted.
The room erupted in cheering gryphons and carts of food and drink were brought in. There was a sudden appearance of a rather large female hippogryph that made Zero’s eyes widen in surprise. She had tears running down her face and she stood looking at Lilly and Zero. She stood on her hind legs and held herself the way Discord held himself.
Lilly looked at the hippogryph and blinked. “Aunt Misery?”
“Oh, I wasn’t wrong. I knew it…” She whispered. “Little Lilly having a mate, my little Lilly.” The hippogryph approached Lilly and smiled. “I heard you were searching for me?”
Lilly smiled as a tear started to run down her cheek. “Yes we were, but apparently you found us first. Dad was worried about you, he doesn’t say as much but I know how he is.”
“Is it true Lilly? Rumor has it that Dissy is the ruler of Equestria?”
Lilly nodded. “Yes. It’s not a rumor.”
“Aunt Misery, this is Zero. He was my guard in Canterlot. Now he isn’t”
Misery started to smile evilly. “Oh, Lilly you’re naughty I can tell. So… when is it due?”
Zero blinked in shock. “How did you know?”
Misery clapped. “Hee! I didn’t know, now I do.”
Lilly laughed. “Misery, you know how to manipulate men don’t you?”
“You just have to know what questions to ask.” she said with a wink.
Zero gave Misery a surprised look and frowned. “She “is” your father’s sister.” He mumbled to Lilly.
“So Lilly, when are you going to tell Dissy about your wedding?” She rubbed her claws together. “Can I tell him?”
Lilly shook her head. “No. Oh no. I don’t want him to kill my husband before we even consummate our marriage. Don’t Aunt Missy… please?”
“Spoil sport.” Misery pouted.
Zero looked absolutely terrified and was suddenly looking around the room as if he was waiting for Discord to appear out of thin air. “I rather not die at all.”
Misery grinned and got close to Zero. “Good, it is best not to die.” She licked her lips as she looked at Zero closer. She then stood up straight and looked at Lilly. “Oh I am so very envious of you!”
“What? Why?” Lilly asked.
“Your husband, he wants to be dominated. Lucky Lilly.” Misery grinned.
“I… do?” Zero asked in surprise.
Lilly was blushing deeply. “Missy, please. He doesn’t really.”
“I’m serious Lilly.” Misery suddenly leaned over to her niece and started to whisper in her ear.
Zero blinked at them and Lilly suddenly put her claw on her mouth and looked at him. “Oh Aunt, you’re funny.”
Misery winked at Lilly and then at Zero. “Okay, I can take hint. I’m going to go to Equestria in a few days. You and Zero please go and have fun on your honeymoon. I won’t tell Dissy about your wedding… yet.” She winked at them and slowly walked through the gathering of gryphons and up to Bleak Claw who she suddenly kissed. He grinned at her as she went by and followed her out of the room.
Lilly blinked when she noticed that her aunt left with Bleak Claw. “Oh. Ha… I see what is going on now.”
Zero huffed. “I sure wish I did.”
“I’ll explain later. I think we should be going soon.” Lilly smiled at her new husband. “I missed you last night and I’m feeling a bit…” She leaned over and whispered in his ear.
He smiled as he looked at her. “Let’s go…”
Scarlet Grace sat across the table from her parents she tapped her claw on the table as she waited for her husband to get into the room. “Sorry, um but he witnessed Scarlet’s prediction I was just along for the ride.”
“Nothing to worry about dear.” Fluttershy smiled at her daughter.
“I’m here, I apologize for being late.” A young Pegasus pony came into the room he had a dark gray mane and a bright orange coat; his cutie mark was a pair of wings. He walked over to Scarlet Grace and gave her a kiss. Discord sat up slightly then remembered that his daughter was married and sat back.
“Flight Strike?” Fluttershy asked him. “What was Scarlet’s prediction?”
Scarlet Grace’s husband looked at Fluttershy. “Well, it was last night and Gracie was making some salad when she dropped the spoons. I was surprised but I saw she was having one of her episodes, so I watched and listened to her.”
“What did she say?” Discord asked as he sat up again.
Scarlet Grace placed her paw on him and smiled. “Dad, you’re scaring him again.”
Discord folded his arms. “I’m not sorry; he’ll have to get over the fact that I’m intimidating.”
Fluttershy smiled as she flapped her wings. “Flight Strike, just tell me, okay?”
He looked at her and he visibly relaxed. “Sorry but anyway; Scarlet said: There is a wall, the reign is not ending. The shadow will return.”
Discord stood up and Flight Strike shrank back. “Was that all she said?”
“Yes, I’m sorry I really tried to pay attention.” He whispered and walked slightly behind Scarlet Grace.
“For a pony that married some pony that looks almost like her father, you sure are nervous around me.” Discord grinned. “Scarlet Grace resembles me. Why are you more frightened of me than her?” He asked as he loomed over Flight Strike.
“You’re her father, I respect you and… you’re scary. Scarlet is so beautiful, sweet and kind.” Flight Strike answered with big eyes.
Fluttershy started to giggle.
Discord looked at her. “What? Am I not beautiful, sweet and kind?”
“In your own way.” Fluttershy replied still giggling.
Scarlet Grace hugged Flight and kissed his cheek. “Dad isn’t that scary.”
“Says you, he’s your father.” He grinned up at Discord. “Sir… dad… Um can Scarlet Grace and I go now?”
Discord frowned. “No.”
Scarlet Grace looked at her father in shock. “Dad, why?”
He pouted at Scarlet Grace. “It’s like you don’t want to see me anymore. The first to leave the nest, the first to be married. Makes me sad.”
“Don’t be sad.” She grinned. “It’s okay Dad, Flight just wants to pick up some things in Canterlot. Besides I’m not the first in everything, I was the last born.”
Fluttershy looked up. “Not for long.”
“What?” Scarlet looked at her mother. “Mom? Are you saying?”
Fluttershy was blushing as she smiled and nodded. “Yes.”
Scarlet got up and walked around the table to hug her mother. “I’m going to be an older sister!” She hugged Fluttershy. “This is so exciting! Does Paradox and LillyRose know yet?”
“No.” Discord answered. “Lilly is still gone and Paradox has been scarce today, probably hanging out with your Mother’s guard.”
Scarlet Grace started to blink. “Mother’s guard? You mean Silver Dash?”
Fluttershy nodded. “Yes…” She brought her hoof up and waved it to Discord.
Flight Strike noticed Fluttershy waving and he quickly went to stand next to his wife. Discord’s ears went up and he walked closer to Fluttershy to look at Scarlet.
Scarlet started to blink faster and she suddenly grabbed Discord and her eyes became clouded over. “Nervous tension, someone has feelings, you will be accused, but nothing will come of it. The baby… the baby…” She stumbled slightly and Flight steadied her. “Celebrations, happiness and sadness. The shadow… it waits and will no longer be starved.”
Fluttershy said in a shaky voice. “What about the baby? Whose baby? Which baby?”
Scarlet Grace blinked her eyes again and saw all three of them looking at her. “What? Oh… I have a bad headache. Don’t tell me… I did it again?” She placed her paw on her pregnant belly.
“Yes, you did.” Discord said as he helped his daughter sit down with the assistance of Flight Strike. “Now I insist you and Flight stay here and have dinner with us.”
“What did I, I mean Scarlet say?” She asked as she sat down.
“You grabbed your father’s arm.” Flight said. “Just relax please.”
Discord kneeled in front of his daughter. “Scarlet mentioned a baby, but didn’t say anything more about it. She also said something about celebrations, happiness and sadness. I really wish I could figure out Scarlet’s predictions, but we don’t know the answers behind them until they happen. The shadow was mentioned again, I am not happy to know about the shadow.”
Flight Strike looked up. “What is the shadow?”
“The shadow is the reason Discord is ruling Equestria in Celestia’s place.” Fluttershy explained.
“I thought…” He stopped talking when he looked at his father-in-law. “Never mind.”
Discord started to laugh. “Grace, you never told him?”
“Yeah, busy.” Discord made air quotes at the word busy.
Twilight sighed. “I guess so Spike; it’s the fact that Luna asked Discord to run Canterlot and not me… that really…” She let out a sigh.
“Maybe she thought you weren’t ready? Discord is a lot older and he has better control of magic than any other pony I know.” He stopped when Twilight gave him a look. “Besides you of course.” He smiled.
She shook her head. “Celestia is getting worse by the day; she just stares off into nothing. I’ve read all my books and I cannot find a solution. I’ve even read books in Canterlot’s library.”
“Have you tried Discord’s library?” Spike asked.
“I don’t like his library; I can’t find anything in it. His organization is…” She sighed deeply. “Chaotic.”
Spike looked at her and laughed in spite of the situation. “What did you expect from Discord?”
She nodded. “Yes, I know. I’ll just ask.”
Misery and Bleak Claw landed near the west entrance of Canterlot. Two guards looked at them with wide eyes as they approached. “Halt, what bring you to Canterlot?” One asked.
“I’ve come to visit my dear sweet brother.” Misery said. “You know him, he’s tall, has the most beautiful yellow and red eyes. He’s got a horn and an antler…”
The guard swallowed hard. “Is it okay if we inform him that you’re here?”
She grinned showing her rows of sharp teeth. “Oh yes, it is quite alright.” One of the guards flew off towards the castle. She turned to look at Bleak Claw. “My love, have you been here before? I know I haven’t.” She blatantly lied.
Bleak Claw grinned at her. “A few times. This will be the first visit I’ve come with my sweetness though.” He grabbed her claw and kissed it. Misery blushed.
“Dissy!” Misery yelled, turned and pounced on him. They fell to the ground she was hugging her surprised brother.
Discord disappeared and reappeared out of his sister’s grasp and off the ground. “Misery, where have you been?”
She stood up and dusted herself off. “Well, I moved to the gryphon kingdom and married Bleakie here.” She went over to Bleak Claw and kissed him. “He’s a clan leader.”
He looked at the gryphon. “You married my sister?”
Bleak Claw nodded. “Yes, and she’s a good mother too.”
Discord shook his head and looked at Misery. “Mother?”
Misery laughed. “No. Bleakie’s wife passed away. I helped him raise his son. Speaking of raising the sun… Dissy…?” She grinned at her brother and looked up at the castle. “Going to invite me in?”
Discord smiled. “Yes, come to the castle. I have to go back, I was in the middle of a meeting actually.” He turned to the other guard. “Let my sister and her husband in.”
“Yes sir.” The guard saluted.
Discord nodded then looked at Misery. “Stay out of trouble. I’ll let the castle guards know you’re coming.” He snapped his fingers and disappeared.
Discord appeared again in the throne room. “So sorry about that.” He strode past Twilight and sat on the throne again. “You were saying?”
Twilight sighed. “I didn’t even get to say one word when the guard interrupted us and you just disappeared without saying a thing.”
“Twilight Sparkle,” He sat forward. “Tell me what is in that beautiful head of yours?”
She paused at his compliment. “Um…” She shook her head. “Celestia isn’t doing well, I was wondering if you are able to get me some of the Spring of Eternity’s water?”
Discord sat back as he sighed he closed his eyes as he remembered using the last of the water he saved on Scarlet Grace, hoping it’s powers would heal her partial blindness and deafness, it didn’t. “I’m out of the water. The fountain is all dried up.” He sat back up and looked at Twilight almost apologetically. “If you don’t believe me, we can go to the fountain itself.”
Twilight perked up. “We can do that?”
“Sure, but not today. I have a few things on my plate right now.” Discord sighed heavily.
Twilight suddenly noticed that Discord didn’t look as energetic as he usually was. “Are you alright?” She asked concerned.
He sat up further. “Oh yes, I am just peachy. Too much on my mind right now Twilight. I will feel better later.”
She sat there for a moment. “Do… you need any help?”
He looked at her and then looked at the throne room, where a line of ponies were starting to line up to have an audience with him. He looked back down to Twilight. “What do you know about politics?”
Misery was looking at the shops in Canterlot, she really wanted to go to the castle and bother her brother. Bleak Claw wanted to find something for her though in the shops. So she let him lead her into shop after shop. She was getting tired though. She knew that Gryphons liked bright shiny things but he was putting a lot of gold baubles on her and it was weighing her down.
Bleak had another ring in his claw as he approached her. “This has sapphires; they shine like your eyes.”
“Bleakie, those are beautiful. Thank you, but can we go to the castle now? Please?”
Bleak Claw scratched his head slightly and tilted his head at her. “I just want to make you happy.”
“Oh Bleakie, you make me very happy.” She kissed him lightly on the beak. “I’m itching to tell Dissy about his LillyRose.”
“Oh! Dearest you promised her you wouldn’t tell him.” The Gryphon blinked.
Misery laughed. “I’m not going to tell him right out… I didn’t promise to not tell her mother and if Dissy is in the same room at the time then… oops.”
“I have married a truly evil female.” Bleak Claw shook his head as his feathers fluffed out.
“Yes, but I make things exciting.” They started walking to Canterlot castle.
Twilight had helped Discord through the day with the politics of the kingdom. “Thanks Twilight, that was helpful of you. Thank goodness you knew some of those answers because I think I would have just turned them into a bunch of chickens.” He muttered as he yawned and stretched on the throne.
Twilight gasped. “You really wouldn’t; would you?”
He looked at her and grinned. “Oh… no… never.” A halo slowly formed over his head and it twisted slightly then tilted.
“Hmmm.” Twilight muttered. “So Discord, when would be the best time to check on the fountain?”
Discord stood up, stretching and looked at her. “Well, it won’t be today. I have to entertain my sister. Is it urgent about Celestia? I know you have been trying to help with her health… I’ve got to tell you something though… I don’t think the water will help.”
“Why don’t you think the water will help?” Twilight asked.
“I tried it on Scarlet Grace. It didn’t help with her blindness and deafness. I believe it will purge poisons, but I don’t know about the problems of the mind.”
“It’s a risk I am willing to take.” Twilight stated.
Discord nodded. “Okay… In a month, we’ll go to the fountain. In the meantime, don’t give up searching for a different solution. Thanks again Twilight. I have to lower the sun and have dinner.”
As he finished saying dinner the throne room door opened and Misery walked in followed by Bleak Claw. “Dissy, we’re here!”
Misery stopped in mid stride. “Dissy? Who was that?”
“That was Princess Twilight Sparkle.” He said. “Apparently she’s nervous around new arrivals.”
“Oh! So you’re enjoying the princesses time then? Having some alone time with them?” She teased and nudged her husband in the side. Bleak Claw just righted himself and fluffed out his feathers.
Discord sighed and looked at his sister. “No Misery, Fluttershy is my one and only.”
“Just keep telling yourself that Dissy, that princess was looking at you like she wanted you.” She teased more.
Discord’s eye twitched. “Twilight? No, I fully doubt that. Come on, dinner will be ready soon and I still have to make the sun set.” His sister still made him annoyed and what she was suggesting was ridiculous. “Twilight is just a friend. A best friend to Fluttershy, come along.” He strode out of the throne room past his sister and didn’t wait for her to follow him.
Misery blinked at him. “Of course you know me! I’m your aunt.”
Paradox grinned. “Oh yeah!” He ate some of his salad and then looked at his father. Discord nodded at him. He looked back at Misery again. “Hey! I know you from somewhere.”
Misery’s eyes narrowed and she looked at Discord. “That is annoying.”
“Yes, I know.” Discord chuckled.
Fluttershy giggled slightly but kept looking nervously at Bleak Claw. She really was afraid of Misery’s husband, but she was determined not to let it get to her. “Um… Misery, what is new?”
Misery suddenly looked at Fluttershy. “Flutters! So glad you asked.” She turned all her attention to her sister-in-law. “Bleak Claw here… he just did a lovely wedding ceremony for a couple of young ones. It was so beautiful. The bride was gorgeous. You should have been there I think you would have been in tears like I was.”
“That sounds really nice.” Fluttershy said.
Misery nodded as a grin started to spread wide on her face. “The groom… what was his name again? Oh Yes… Zero… He was very nervous.”
Discord’s ears went up. “What?!”
“The bride, she was so nervous that her disguise spell faded slightly revealing her horn and antler.”
Discord started to breathe in deeply and dug his claws into the wood of his chair. “Misery… Are you saying what I think you’re saying?”
Misery grinned at him. “Oh Dissy… What do you think I am saying?”
Fluttershy blinked and suddenly looked at Bleak Claw and at Misery. “My baby eloped? Discord!” She looked at him and he was frowning.
“I get it Fluttershy.” He growled as he looked at his sister.
Paradox started laughing. “HAHA! Lilly is in trouble now. This has turned out to be an awesome dinner. Thanks Aunt Misery.”
“You’re welcome.” Misery replied and looked at Fluttershy ignoring her brother. “Flutters they are happy together. I never seen any pony in love as much as those two. Except maybe you and Dissy.”
Discord stood up. “Misery, why did you allow it to happen?”Misery stood up as well and looked at her brother. “I allowed it because they looked happy and besides… Lilly being pregnant and all; she needs her mate with her.”
“WHAT!?” Discord was livid.
“Wait a minute…” Paradox muttered. “Lilly got married and is pregnant?” He started to rub his paws together. “She is in so much in trouble now. Haha!”
Misery looked at Discord. “Don’t blame me, you allowed your daughter to run off with her lover. What did you expect to happen?”
Discord sighed deeply and sat down. “You have a point. I’ll wait until they get home before I kill Zero. I knew they were in love, but I didn’t know that she was pregnant, if I knew that… I wouldn’t have allowed her to leave.”
Paradox scoffed. “She would’ve left anyway Dad.”
“You’re not really going to kill Zero are you?” Fluttershy asked.
“Zero seemed really nice. He even went with the traditional Gryphon marriage ceremony.” Bleak Claw said finally. “It would be a shame to have him die so young.”
Paradox kept chuckling to himself. “I cannot wait to tell Silver.”
Misery suddenly looked at Paradox. “Doxy! You have a girly friend? Tell me more!”
“Mom?” Paradox looked at Fluttershy.
“You mentioned her Dox. You tell your Aunt about her.” Fluttershy smiled at her son. She then looked at her husband. “Discord. Don’t be mad… I am sure Lilly has a good explanation.”
“I am sure she does. I cannot wait to hear it from her.” Discord started to chuckle. “I am looking forward to terrorizing her husband too.”
“Dissy?” Misery asked as she leaned on Bleak Claw. “I hope I didn’t make your evening worse. You looked tired when we saw you in the throne room.”
“Missy, I’m just getting my second wind. I just have a lot on my mind right now; you just added a couple more things to it. Merci bien.” Discord seemed to say the last thing sarcastically.
“De rien.” Misery replied back and just grinned at her brother.
Lilly landed on the balcony of her tower. She glanced around and waved him down as she trotted to her door. Zero landed not too gracefully on the balcony almost falling on his face for the third time in a few days.
“Hurry up.” Lilly whispered as she opened the door to her room and was waving him in.
“I’m sorry, these wings.” He whispered back as he ran into her darkened room. She followed him in and closed the door.
They had been gone for about a week since getting married and Lilly was worried about her sister too much to be gone for longer. “Why is it so dark in here?” She asked.
“I don’t know.” Zero answered as he stood in the darkness trying to adjust to it. “Use your magic to get some light in here.”
Lilly used her magic and lit a candle she knew she had nearby. The light of the candle revealed a looming figure of Discord standing over Zero. His claws out and ready to grab him as he had a malevolent grin on his face. She whinnied in shock and the candle snuffed out.Zero wasn’t sure why Lilly whinnied and why she put the candle out so fast. “Dear? What happened?” He blinked into the darkness then a chill ran up his spine as he felt a paw placed on his shoulder and he froze in place. “Horse nuggets…” He managed to mutter.
“Horse nuggets indeed.” Discord said. “LillyRose?” The candles in the room all lit up at once.
Lilly was still standing in the same place as before but she was staring at her father who had his paw on Zero’s shoulder. “Um, Dad. I can explain. Don’t kill him. Please.”
Discord laughed low and menacing. “If ever a thought crossed my mind? My little double flower, your mother is devastated that she didn’t get to watch her little girl get married.” He kept his paw on Zero’s shoulder as he spoke. “Your aunt Misery was here the other day.”
“She said she wouldn’t tell him.” Zero said but flinched when he felt one of Discord’s claws dig into his shoulder.
“She didn’t tell me. She told your mother.” He growled deeply. “While I was in the room, in her own special way. Even revealing the fact that you’re pregnant as well.” He looked at her.
“Heh, yeah. Still Dad, please don’t kill Zero.” She blushed as she looked at the floor she then looked at Zero. “Eloping was my idea.”
Zero gulped as he nervously glanced up at Discord. “Sir, I love your daughter with all my heart and soul.”
Discord grinned and let Zero go. “I know you do.” He then looked at his daughter. “Lilly in the morning, bring your new husband down with you to breakfast. Your mother needs to tell you some news.” He then snapped his fingers and disappeared.
Zero’s legs shook and he collapsed on to the floor. “Holy horse nuggets.” He whispered as he stood up again.
“Yeah.” Lilly whispered. “I guess it could’ve been worse.”
“Worse? I think I might need to run to the little colts room.”
Lilly laughed. “Don’t be silly. Since the secret is out, we don’t need to be sneaky. Let’s go to bed.”
Zero blinked at her. “You’re right. I never thought of that.”
“And so far Dad has accepted you. Just don’t show him fear, he’ll milk it for all its worth. Scarlet Grace’s husband is utterly terrified of him, and Dad takes every advantage of it.” She smiled as she went to him. “Tired lover?”
“Lilly, I’m tired, but not that tired.” He kissed her and they both went to bed together.
It was breakfast time and every pony had a pile of pancakes in front of them. Lilly and Zero sat next to one another and they both were focused on the plates in front of them. Paradox walked in and sat at the table after scrapping his chair loudly on the stone floor. His ears perked up when he saw Lilly and Zero sitting at the table. “I knew you were here!”
Lilly frowned at him. “Oh? How?”
Paradox gave her an “are you kidding” look. “Oh… I knew…” He poured syrup on his pancakes. He smiled when Fluttershy and Discord walked in. “Mom can Silver come in and eat with us?”“Sure Doxy.” Fluttershy replied and she suddenly smiled when she saw Lilly. “LillyRose, I am so happy to see you.” She trotted over to Lilly.
Lilly stood up and gave her mother a hug. “Hi Mom.”
“Silver!” Paradox shouted making Lilly and Fluttershy jump. “Come and have breakfast with us!”
Discord gave Paradox a disapproving look. “You could’ve gotten up and told her to step in here.”
Fluttershy shook her head and went back to talking to Lilly. “I missed seeing you get married.”
Lilly scuffed her hoof on the floor. “Sorry Mom. Sorry about everything.”
“I’m happy you’re back. We all missed you. Scarlet Grace is almost due, and I heard you had an eventful first few weeks this month.” Fluttershy was tearing up at her daughter. “I would’ve wanted to see you get married. I wanted to help you get ready for your marriage…” She moved her hoof up and wiped her eyes.
Lilly looked at the floor. “I’ll make it up to you.”
Fluttershy looked at Zero. “I never really got to meet you.” She said to him.
Zero blinked. “Yeah, I uh, I… I am so glad to meet you. Lady Fluttershy.” He bowed to her as well.
“Titles like that aren’t meant for family.” Fluttershy blushed and giggled. “And you are now family. You can call me Mom.” She went to over and gave him a hug. Zero had a look of shock on his face as Fluttershy hugged him gently.
She looked around and saw that Silver Dash had walked into the room and Paradox gave her a huge hug. Silver sat down beside Paradox and looked at him lovingly.
Fluttershy let go of Zero and smiled at him. “Welcome to the family.”
“Thank you Lady… I mean… Mom.” Zero blushed a lot.
“Ok, enough of this. Let’s eat something.” Discord announced as he pulled a chair out for Fluttershy. Fluttershy went over and sat down. “Thank you.”
Lilly blinked as she watched her mother, she looked at herself and back at her mother. “Mom?”
Fluttershy looked up at Lilly. “Yes?”
Fluttershy blushed and looked at Discord and then back at Lilly. She was about to answer her when Paradox started laughing. “Don’t be silly Lilly! Mom can’t be pregnant.” He picked up a pancake to put in his mouth.
“Um…” Fluttershy began. “Doxy, I am pregnant.”
Paradox dropped his pancake. “What?!”
Silver Dash started to giggle at Paradox’s reaction.
Lilly smiled. “Oh! Mom! I’m so happy for you! How far along are you?”
“Only a month at least.” She blushed as Discord started to pet her mane.
Paradox seemed to shrug as he went back to eating; thinking that none of this concerned him that much.
Lilly started to blush as she looked at her plate of food. “Well, Aunt Misery already told you I was pregnant.”
“Lilly? You’re pregnant?” Silver gasped suddenly. “Wait, I’m missing something here. Doxy?”
Paradox looked at Silver after he shoved a pancake in his mouth. “What?” He asked with his mouth full.
Silver shook her head and was blushing profusely. “Nothing.” She stared at her plate as her cheeks burned with a blush.
Lilly started to laugh a little bit. “Anyway, Mom, we might have our foals at the same time. Isn’t that neat?”
Discord blinked when he realized what Lilly said. “What? Wait a minute; I don’t think I could handle that.”
Paradox started to snicker. “What is wrong Dad? Too chaotic for you?”
Discord’s eyes narrowed as he looked at his son. “Nothing is too chaotic for me. Nothing!”
“If you say so.” Paradox grinned as he stuffed another pancake in his mouth.
Fluttershy smiled at Lilly. “I don’t know maybe we will. Although, you’re showing a little bit more than I am. We should see the doctor soon.”
Lilly blinked. “A doctor?”
“I’m going to go to Ponyville in a couple days to see Dr. Epona Calliope. Want to come along? She’s been taking care of Scarlet Grace.” Fluttershy offered.
Lilly was blushing. “Sure, if it’s not too much trouble.” She then looked at Zero. “Dad?”
Discord had his mouth full since he decided to eat while they talked about pregnancy. “Mmm?” He looked at her.
“Zero needs his job back.”
Discord smiled. “What? Being your guard?” He started to laugh. “I don’t think so. Being married to your guard is a big distraction.” He stared at Zero for a long moment.
Zero gulped at Discord’s stare. “Um… I wasn’t really expecting to be Lilly’s guard again Sir.” Zero replied.
Discord grinned suddenly. “I think I have a new job for Zero.”
Zero felt like he was sweating. “Can I ask what?”
Discord’s grin spread. “I’ll tell you later.”
Taking a vacation from the office wasn’t a good idea now that she thought about it, since she’d come back with a little more than just a souvenir. Epona felt so uncomfortable today as she slowly opened the door to the examination room.
“Good morning,” She said cheerfully and stopped when she saw LillyRose sitting on the examination table. “Lady Chaos…” She suddenly bowed.
“Dr. Epona, please don’t bow, geez you helped bring me into the world.” Lilly sighed.
“Lilly, you’re pregnant?” Epona asked as she looked at Lilly and saw her little belly bulge.
“Yeah…” Lilly blushed suddenly. “Mom suggested I see you.”
“I see, so where is the father?” Epona asked.
“He’s working. One of Dad’s guards now.”
“Oh, whose guard was he before?” She asked while she started the examination on Lilly.
“Um, mine.” Lilly blushed.
“Oh… I see…” She grinned as she brought a stethoscope down to listen to her.
Lilly looked at Dr. Epona and her ears suddenly went forward. “You’re pregnant too.”
Epona looked at herself. “Yes, so I am. You’re about as observant as your father.”
“Dad is very observant apparently.” She blushed again.
“Let me guess… he knew you had been with some pony?”
“Yes. How did you know?” Lilly asked.
“Lucky guess,” She shrugged. “Father’s always have a sixth sense when it comes to their daughters. Especially to the ones they are the most connected to. You are like him in so many ways. Lady Chaos.” Epona winked.
“That title… I sometimes like it but sometimes it irritates me.” Lilly sighed and jumped when Epona strapped an instrument to her belly.
“Okay, let’s see.” Epona said cheerfully as she moved a wand over Lilly’s stomach.
Lilly heard noises come from the machine a heartbeat strong and firm. “Oh! That’s my heart.”
“Yes, your heart is strong. That’s great.” She used her magic and moved the machine down more until it picked up a fluttering fast beat. Lilly’s ears went forward. “That is your foal. Sounds nice and healthy.”
Lilly blinked. “Oh my goodness. I wish Zero was here. Do you know what it’ll be?”
Epona started to chuckle. “I don’t know, you have a 50 percent chance of getting a boy or a girl.”
“Oh… that narrows it down. Thanks doctor.” Lilly replied sarcastically.
Epona grinned. “I’m always willing to help. Your sister is going to foal soon. I am so happy to be your family’s Doctor. How is your father and mother?”
“Dad is here with mom in the other exam room.” Lilly stated.
Epona blinked suddenly. “They’re here?”
Lilly nodded. “Yeah, mom is pregnant again.”
“At her age?” A look of worry went across Epona’s face.
“Epona? What do you mean at her age? You’re older than mom and you’re pregnant.”
“I’m also an Alicorn. My body ages differently than other ponies.” She unstrapped the device from Lilly. “You are doing very well, try to not do too many spells where you manipulate your body. Too much magic will affect your foal.”
Lilly blinked at the news. “How do you know that?”
“As I said before, I’m an Alicorn.” She smiled.
Flight Strike swallowed hard as he looked at the door in front of him. He knew that his father-in-law and the rest of the family were in the waiting room. He looked behind him and then forward again. They deserved to know.
He placed his hoof on the door let out a deep sigh and pushed it open.
Every pony looked up expectantly at him.
“Hey, um…” He began but was suddenly interrupted when Discord put his paw on his muzzle. He noticed the whole room was frozen in time.
“Don’t.” Discord said to him. “Tell me first.”
“The foal… is fine, but… Grace is very sick.” Flight swallowed. “I’m scared… Dad.”
“Let me see her.”
Flight Strike led Discord through and noticed the whole Maternity ward was frozen but when they entered the room where Epona was with Grace and the foal. Time was going like normal. Epona looked up from tending to Grace. “Discord… your daughter…”
He went over to Scarlet Grace. “Gracie… What is wrong…? Tell me.”
“Dad… I’m… so tired. Help me.” She was sweating and her eyes were blind.
“Okay, I’ll help you. Epona?”
“Do what you can.” Epona said.
“Here’s trying.” Discord placed his paw on his daughter’s forehead and closed his eyes.
“AH!” Scarlet Grace screamed loudly. The foal in the bassinet started to cry loudly and Flight Strike went to stand near his wife and put his hoof on her paw and endured the sound of her screams.
Discord let out a gasp and shook his head as his paw slipped from Scarlet Grace’s head. “She’s bleeding too much. To the left Epona.”
Epona used her healing magic. “It’s difficult to reach. I’ll try.”
“I… I…” Scarlet looked over at Flight Strike. “Flight… I love you…” She suddenly slumped; her eyes closed.
“Scarlet?” Flight said suddenly. “Dr. Epona, did she…?”
Discord felt his chest tighten up. “No…” He whispered.
“Wait… Wait no… I’m still.” Epona Calliope muttered. “I’ve got… it.”
There was a few agonizing moments, then Scarlet Grace sat up and gasped. Discord and Flight Strike looked relieved. Flight hugged his wife tightly, tears running down his muzzle and cheeks with relief. “Oh… Gracie.”
Epona let out her breath. “Scarlet… Oh thank goodness. Discord, have you ever thought to become a doctor?”
“No. I don’t like getting dirty.” He muttered as he rubbed one of his eyes. “I’ll leave the stress to you.” He shook his head and turned his attention to his daughter.
Scarlet Grace looked up from hugging her husband. “Where is our foal?”
Epona smiled as she went to the bassinet and got the foal and brought it over to her. “Here he is. Looks like his Daddy.”
Scarlet looked down at the bundle. “Oh. He’s beautiful.” She started to cry. “Dad… look at your grandson.”
Discord swallowed hard. “Um… I… don’t know. I got to get back and…” Scarlet gave him the foal. He looked down at the foal and let out a sigh. “Oh… Gracie. He’s perfect… Like you. He’s got a yellow coat like his grandmother.” He then glanced at Flight Strike. “I think you’ve gotten another reprieve from me.”
“Dad! Don’t keep threatening my husband.” Scarlet Grace huffed. “Give me Trouble.”
“Trouble?” Discord’s ears went up as he brought the foal to his daughter.
“That’s his name.” Scarlet stated as she held him and kissed the foal’s forehead. “My little Trouble.”
Flight Strike shrugged and gave Discord a grin. “It wasn’t my idea; Scarlet said that he’ll be no end of trouble so she named him that.”
Discord went to the door. “Take two… Flight. Come and announce the birth of your son.”
Flight nodded as he followed Discord out the door, he then blinked when time started up again and Discord disappeared.
Walking to the door of the waiting room he took in a deep breath and opened it. “Hey.” He said to the ponies waiting.
Discord stood looking at the Spring of Eternity and he scratched his head. Twilight Sparkle stood next to him as she tried to make sense of why the spring was not producing any more water.
“So it stopped? Just recently?” She asked.
“No, it was slowly going away.” He stated. “If it was still producing water then we wouldn’t be here.”
Twilight looked up at him and noticed that he was frowning in puzzlement. “What do you suggest we do?”
“Maybe we will have to shrink ourselves down and follow it to its source. No, that would be … crazy.” He muttered as he started to smile.
“What?” Twilight asked.
He looked at her. “What?” He asked back. “I was just thinking out loud.”
“You said we should shrink ourselves down.” Twilight stated.
“If you heard me, why did you ask ‘what’?” Discord chuckled.
Twilight just looked at him for a moment. “Do you really think it would be a good idea to shrink ourselves down?”
“No, but what would be the harm? Besides getting smashed, eaten, maimed and many other horrible circumstances, I don’t see why not?” He grinned at her.
Twilight seemed to think about what he said. “If that is a way…”
“Aunt Twilight, why would you even begin to consider it?” Paradox asked as he looked at his father and aunt.
“Dox, with my knowledge of the spring, I believe shrinking is the only option.” Discord said. “Also I have always wanted to see little itty-bitty ponies.”“Well, Silver Dash is not going.” Paradox said.
“Are you kidding?” Silver interjected as she looked at Paradox. “You may be my mate, but that doesn’t mean you make decisions for me.”
Lilly started to laugh. “Okay, Dad suppose we shrink down, but what if at the end whatever is blocking it, is way too large for little ponies to unblock it?”
“Well, I don’t know.” He snapped his fingers turned smaller snapped them again became giant sized then he slowly became normal size.
Twilight grumbled. “Real easy for you Discord, but some of us have a different way of doing magic.”
“Yes I know Twilight, but you see I have two of my children here and they can do chaotic magic as well.” He grinned at his son and daughter.
“I am not going in that small hole.” Paradox muttered.
“That isn’t what you said last night.” Silver giggled.
Paradox suddenly blushed. “Silver… not in front of Dad.”
Discord grinned. “Dox, I like your mate. She’s got a great sense of humor.”
Silver Dash smiled at Discord. “At least someone appreciates my humor.”
“Discord will make comedy out of anything.” Twilight stated as she walked over to the spring’s fountain. “Maybe it just needs repaired at this fountain.”
Paradox walked over to the fountain and poked his claw into the opening. “It’s dry.”
“See now you are poking your fingers in strange holes.” Silver muttered.
Discord snickered as he went over to the fountain. “I guess I’ll go first, being that I’m the smartest one here.”
Twilight gave him a look. “Ugh seriously?”
Lilly sighed. “Gee, thanks a lot Dad.”
Discord smiled as he snapped his fingers and shrunk down.
“I guess. I’ll have to shrink you all down?” Twilight grumbled.
“No way.” Paradox said as he put his paw on Silver Dash and they both shrank.
Lilly shook her head at Twilight. “Sorry Twilight, but I think I’ll just sit this out. I’m a little too pregnant for this.” She turned and nudged Zero towards Twilight. He had been quiet the whole time. “Zero will go.”
Zero flapped his wings. “What? Oh, wait a minute…” Lilly clicked her tongue and he shrunk while protesting.
“Okay then. See you later Lilly.” Twilight took in a deep breath as she used her unicorn magic and shrunk down.
Twilight looked around everything was gigantic, but she saw Discord, Dox, Silver and Zero all near the fountain. She trotted over to them. “Okay now what?”
“It’s about time you got here.” Discord said impatiently. “I guess we all fly up to that cave up there and travel along it to the source.”
“Cave?” Twilight looked up. “Oh you mean the fountain?”
Paradox started to laugh. “Spelunking. One of my favorite past times.”
Silver looked at Paradox and kept her mouth closed.
Twilight looked at every pony. “Fine, I’ll go first.” She flew up to the opening, landed and trotted in; then looked down at them. “It seems safe.”
Paradox and Discord appeared right next to her Silver and Zero flew up and landed near her. “I suggest we stay together.” Discord stated as he walked ahead. Everyone followed behind him as it started to get darker the deeper they went inside the cave. Twilight’s horn lit up as it got darker.
“I don’t understand why we need so many ponies to do this.” Silver said. “Paradox and I probably could have done this easily on our own.”
Discord turned around and looked at Silver. “Being that you and Dox have been together for a couple months… You two would have been too distracted to even get beyond the shrinking. As for Zero and Lilly… They’d have a problem focusing too. All you youngsters think about is sex.”
Twilight looked at Discord. “Hmmm…”
Discord raised an eyebrow at her. “What?”
“Nothing…” Twilight muttered.
“Twilight. If you are trying to imply something about Fluttershy and I. Yes, I know all the clichés. I’ll have you know, Fluttershy and I have a very healthy sex life.” Discord said proudly.
“Dad! I didn’t want to know that!” Paradox said and made a face.
Zero looked around warily as they all were talking, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was watching them. He turned around quickly thinking something was behind him, but there was nothing there. He felt the hairs prickle along his back and shoulders.
It really did look like a cave the further they explored the ceiling had stalactites hanging from it. The floor of the cave was rocky and had stalagmites under some of the stalactites. Some had formed pillars of calcified crystals. Possibly from the water that flowed through the area for thousands of years until it was dried up. The walls seemed to shine a deep azure; glowing almost on its own. Twilight reduced her lighting magic in her horn and found out that the walls were illuminating their way.
“It’s beautiful in here.” Silver said in awe. “Look at the crystals.”
“Diamonds.” Discord muttered as he looked at the walls. “That is odd.”
“What is odd?” Twilight asked as she looked at her reflection on one of the walls.
Discord placed his paw on the wall. “I wouldn’t think that diamonds would have formed in here.” He paused.
Paradox was making faces in one of the walls. “Hey Dad… aren’t diamonds the hardest substances in the world?”
Twilight’s ears perked up. “Oh? If this is true then there must have had a lot of pressure to make the diamonds form around this area. Diamonds are the hardest substance, but you hit the crystallization in a certain spot they will shatter.”
“No, this is not what is blocking the flow of water,” Discord suddenly stated, “But we have to break through the diamonds to get any further. The diamonds in this area; actually purified the water.”
“Interesting.” Twilight commented.
“Ahem…” Zero suddenly spoke up as he started to walk backwards into the room. “I think we have company.”
“What do we do?” Twilight asked in a panic. “That thing can be poisonous.”
“Can be?” Paradox asked in shock. “It is! Look at the tip of its tail.”
The scorpion’s tail was poised up to strike if provoked venom was dripping from its curved spike at the tip; as it moved a little bit more into the area as it saw potential prey in its multiple eyes.
“Well, you only live once right?” Discord said as he walked towards the scorpion.
Twilight’s eyes widened. “Discord! What are you doing?”
Paradox put his paw over Silver’s eyes. Zero stepped forward slightly.
The scorpion posed its tail in the air as Discord approached it. With a quick swipe it struck Discord in the chest.
“Dad!” Paradox yelled.
“What?” Discord chuckled as he turned and looked at them. He wasn’t harmed and on the tip of the scorpion’s tail was a cork.
“It all comes down to having faster reflexes than your opponent.” Discord said as he grabbed the scorpion by the tail and dragged it to the other side of the cave close to the diamond wall.
“What are you going to do?” Twilight asked as she watched him drag the scorpion over to the wall.
“Something my wife would disapprove of.” He grinned as he swung the scorpion into the wall shattering the wall in a cascade of diamond fragments; knocking the scorpion unconscious in the process.
Discord stuck his tongue out at her. “Snitch.”
Paradox grabbed a huge chunk of diamond as he went through the opening without any pony noticing that he did so; he then made it disappear.
Lilly blinked when a small bluish gem appeared next to her. She sighed and placed it in her side bag she knew that Dox sent it to her. It was also a signal that they were still okay; she kept waiting for them.
The cave suddenly started to curve downward and the floor of it was coated in minerals that made their hooves slip on its surface. “I guess it’s a good thing that we can fly.” Zero muttered as he flapped his wings after he slipped a second time.
Twilight frowned as she tried to look at any clues along the walls. They descended down further suddenly noticing that it was no longer a pipe line and a natural cave where the water used to flow freely. It leveled off again and they all landed on the floor of the cave. It was damp and water dripped slowly from the stalactites.
Silver shivered as they all walked along, their breath coming out in puffs. “It’s cold down here.” she whispered.
Discord studied the stalactites and lifted a small vial to the water dripping from one. He held it up and looked at it; put a stopper in it and made it disappear.
“What are you doing?” Twilight asked him again.
He looked at her innocently. “Absolutely nothing. My goodness Twilight with how much you watch me, one might get the impression you are in love with me.” He then grinned at her frown. “Sorry to disappoint you my dear. I’m already taken.”
Twilight frowned more. “Ugh!” She huffed and trotted to the other side of the cave.
Paradox and Silver walked together, he kept looking at the ceiling nervously. “I wonder how far down we are?”
Silver shook her head. “I don’t know, but this place is making me feel weird.” She looked up at Paradox.
Zero walked forward and between them. “Silver, you feel weird because you are a Pegasus and do not like enclosed places for long.”
Paradox looked at Zero. “This doesn’t affect you because you were an earth pony before Lilly gave you wings. You know, I can remedy that for you O’ brother-in-law of mine.”
Zero shook his head. “No, thank you Paradox. I am quite attached to this gift Lilly gave me.”
“Hmm.” Discord leaned over and gave him a devious grin. “You think that your wings are gifts?”
Zero swallowed hard as he looked at his father-in-law. “Y… Yeah…”
“Oh! Okay.” Discord walked ahead and ignored the fact that he made Zero almost have a heart attack.
Paradox nudged Zero. “Ha! Dad scares you!”
Zero stumbled and righted himself as he blushed. “He doesn’t scare me… he down right terrifies me.” He said honestly.
Twilight kept grumbling as she looked around the cave and stopped as she saw that the cave forked into two different directions. “Which way do we go?”
Discord walked up to her. “I think we’d have to split up.”
“That is not a very good idea.” Twilight said, “Some pony might get hurt or lost.”
Discord rubbed his goatee. “Okay Twilight, I’ll go with Silver and Zero down the left tunnel, you and Paradox go down the right tunnel.”
“Wait!” Paradox protested. “Why are you going down the tunnel with Silver and Zero?”
Discord looked at his son. “Okay, you and Zero go down the right tunnel, Twilight, Silver and I will go down the left tunnel.
“Dad, why can’t Silver and I go down a tunnel while you, Zero and Twilight go down the other?”
“Paradox… you really think I am that naive?” Discord stared at his son.
Silver started to blush. “Dox, your father is implying something. Its ok, I’ll go with Twilight and your Dad.”
Paradox put his head down. “Come on Zero.” He said as he walked down the right tunnel. Zero looked back at Discord and then followed Paradox.
“I hope what you decided is wise.” Twilight stated to Discord as they started walking down the left tunnel.
“No pony ever said I was right in my decisions. Maybe you should have spoken up.” Discord shrugged as he walked ahead of her and Silver.
Twilight felt her ears starting to burn. “Oh no! You cannot put the blame on me if something happens.”
“Aunt Twilight?” Silver said, “He’s just trying to make you upset.”
“Well, it sure is working.” Twilight grumbled.
Discord was chuckling. “Silver, your aunt is just frustrated, because she knows I’m right.”
“I should have gone with the boys.” Twilight muttered.
They fell into silence as they walked. Discord strolled own the tunnel as if he did this sort of thing every day of his life, he whistled a tune that vaguely sounded like ‘Giggle at the Ghosties.’
Paradox started kicking a stone down the tunnel and Zero kept looking at the walls as if they were going to crumble down on him any minute.
“Zero?” Paradox said.
Zero looked over to him. “What?”
“So how did you decide that Lilly would be the girl for you?”
He shook his head. “I’m not going to talk about her with you. It’s weird to talk about family with family.”
“Did you ever want to know how Dad knew that Lilly and you had some special time together? Paradox asked.
Zero looked at Paradox. “I don’t want to know, but I can hazard a guess.”
“Aww man… but long story short Lilly and I are connected by some odd level, when I am aroused she becomes and vice versa. When I am sad or depressed she is. And her anger at having to fire you, well that was painful, I sent you back up to be with her only to have you leave. Ugh that made me mad.”
Zero stopped and looked at Paradox. “How did you?” His eyes narrowed. “You were the unicorn guard!”
Paradox grinned showing his sharp teeth. “Yes.” He rubbed his paws together. “I was also the drunken unicorn guard the night Lilly came back. I guess I have you to thank for me meeting Silver. I think she was following you to check on you but she ran into me instead.”
Zero walked further. “You are welcome. So, if you and Lilly are connected emotionally; how are you going to handle her going into labor?”
“Oh! I never thought of that.” Paradox put his paw on his forehead. “You are right. What will I do?”
Zero shrugged as he smiled. “I guess we won’t know until it happens huh?”
Paradox paused as he looked at Zero. “I’m not looking forward to that emotional backlash.”
